  • My first attempt at restoring a bike, an old ladies Raleigh bike, and as you can see wasn't in the best condition, its now got a new lease of life.
It isn't a how to and my methods may not be the correct way of doing things but I'm pretty happy with the results.
Thanks to East Coast Powder Coating in Hull for the acid dip to remove the paint, it saved me hours and hours of work. www.powdercoati...

Well that was impressive. And I know that I say this on all of your videos but that stop animation effect you do at the beginning is my favorite ... just love that

Interesting disclaimer. Your skills are ahead of any pro bike mechanic I know of. If you don't make a living or earn an income out of something, you could be rightly described as being an amateur. But that term has acquired negative connotations. Originally, in the Romance languages, an amateur meant someone who loves what they do, or has a great passion for their hobby. Unsurprisingly, many amateurs have skills that rival and exceed those of professionals who are doing something to earn an income, often employing shortcuts to turn a project around quickly. A more useful distinction is that between expert and non-expert. You certainly fall into the former group. As the saying goes, "Sometimes the best sailors are to be found ashore" 👍

That stop-motion animation must have taken absolutely ages to set up. Great video man! 💪🏻

Looks great! Just bought one of these in a similar condition in Ireland -- might not have the skills to do all you did, but going to try and get it going -- can I ask if you had to replace anything? (wheels, handlebar covers) and did it come with a light? Also, what color orange it that -- it's gorgeous!

      Hey, thanks for watching!
It’s got new wheels, it came with a sturmey archer 3 speed set up which broke twice even after being repaired so I went with a single speed set up, 2 new wheels were only £45 delivered from eBay. Other than that I didn’t replace anything.
I can’t remember exactly which colour orange but it was Montana Gold spray paint I used.
