I am new to the game and have played once while at a convention. I was against 2 seasoned players and I loved it. I really felt a knack for piloting in this game. I hav bought the core set, a TIE Interceptor, and a Y-wing. Is it worth buying the Imperial Aces set in addition to my single interceptor or should spend the money on other ships?
+Zackary Forest it is a great game. I would recommend buying in ourder these ships have been released. So yes to the Aces as they have some great cards and pilots it is also Worth getting Darth Vaders Advanced TIE. I even like the TIE bomber, it has real staying power and in certain situations really works well!
Thank you for your excellent review. Can you tell me what are the dimensions of the Lambda Class Shuttle, open and fold wings, for posing purposes? Thank you.
The Lambda Class Shuttle comes with an upgrade card called the"Anti Pursuit Laser". The artwork on that card depicts the shuttle's rear-facing weapon blasting a Tie Fighter. I am still curious as to why that is...
BarlowEnter It is not standard rules. But if you agree with the other players that you have a 'captured' lambda shuttle etc, Why not!? (However - some upgrade cards do say "Rebel Only" etc.. I would probably NOT go so far as to overrule those cards else you could end up having combinations that make little sense / non-canon)
So say if I were to get a tie fighter or two. Would it be possible for me to paint them my own chosen colours and would they then still be good to use in the game?
Yes - They take and hold paint really well. Whilst it would not be 'canon' - it would look far more fun and if you google images there are some groups that have their Tie Fighters that are painted into 'attack wings'. One famous one is the 'Obsidian' red looking ones. Search for google images with "star wars x-wing Tie Fighter Obsidian custom paint job". That is just one idea.
Seth Warrior They are not missing.... They were not available when I made this video! If you look at my other X-Wing videos you will see I have reviewed the TIE Defender and TIE Phantom.
I love that shuttle. :)

I am sure that a 'home spun' 6 point ship upgrade card can add a rear arc weapon that works only in range 1 and maybe range 2 ?
I meant why is an imperial ship firing on another imperial ship.
George Demosthenes I see what you mean. Hmmm. That one must have been taken over by Rebel scum somehow.

So one can't play Imperial army vs Imperial army in this game? Is it something the community just pretty much avoid?

Amazing engines!
+painting them has the added advantage that they move slightly faster...
;)
What material are these ships made of?
Boston Menace I do not know exactly what type, but they are all made of a type of plastic not metal etc.
