- This is one of my FAVORITE talks from one of the best AA speakers out there! Bob D. hits it out of the park again with his articulation of the "Power" refered to in the Big Book and how important it is to actively engage in the Recovery Process. A message of hope and healing for sure! One of the things I enjoy about the tape is that it gives such a clear, concise summation of our message in a very entertaining and informative way! You can't go wrong with a Bob D. speaker tape! :)
Addiction treatment WORKS! The Twelve Step Model has been utilized as a treatment for alcohol abuse and alcoholism since 1935. It is extremely important to know that help IS out there and addiction recovery is possible. If you are battling alcoholism, drug addiction, addiction or any other form of addictive behavior, there are people who know EXACTLY what it is like!

Those that say AA is bullshit and doesn't work haven't took the steps, don't regularly go to meetings, haven't got a sponsor, and don't help others. Plain and simple.

I’ve gotten more out of listening to Bob’s talks than anyone I’ve ever met personally in Alcoholics Anonymous. Stumbled across him when I got back this time, that was nearly five years ago.

I'm in Al-Anon and his story spoke volumes to me about me. Thank you Bob for sharing you can only grow spiritually by subtracting, if one is trying to add then they cannot grow.

I have to go back to school and get my alcohol and drug counseling degree to help others and stay sober and clean and manage my emotions. Do the right thing and do it scared and ignore the betrayal and heartbreaking unphathomable truth I’ve been verbally bullied and choose to change instead of worry or relapse. It scared and horrified me I only can look at myself and change but I need to help others and move to another country to recover, but I’ll keep trying I’m so sorry I have to actually believe in myself and not let others negatively effect me like the Tax ladies at H&R Block or The Santa Barbara County Social Service lady insisting that I receive my EBT funds. I should pay for myself and pay my debts. I will go to Tarzanna to rehab I must recover I’m sick of failing. I needed to spell check this probably. I need to recover!
