Problem
Finding smart people in general
Up until a certain point, then it is imagination
I just discovered I made one like this but way more effectively without even thinking
I’m by no means a good player, but I still see this idea work it at the 1300-1400 level, usually in the caro
This will only work if your opponent is skilled enough in this game
To real bro people who suck at chess but know how to play the game r the worst because they are just so unpredictable
@@Breach_gaming my friend has this exact problem, I play in a really dumb way and keep baiting him into things
Skilled but not too skilled.
@@codycook8404 well, that indicates that they probably aren't that good

So it would be called a date?
The issue is at 0:35, if the opponent decides to ignore the knight, and moves their knight back to cover the space in front of the queen, that will screw up your entire strategy.
Or if they Move the bishop to d7, blocking off the queen.
Or they move pawn at g7 up one, blocking the eventual bishop, with a pawn supported with another pawn.
Or the enemy thinks of sacrificing their own bishop at c8, moving it to e6, enticing the knight to kill it, instead of the pawn at f7, and if they don't go for the bishop then, then the bishop can take the knight after it kills the pawn, keeping the king quite safe.
Your entire strategy is based on the pawn at h7 moving. If it doesn't move, and they move many other pieces instead, then it ruins your strategy.
Otherwise a cool thing, will have to try it out sometime.
Lmao, yes, that's how Chess works...
@@polarpenguin3 Not really, chess is mostly about good moves, not about hoping that enemy makes the single bad move.
that's what gambits are about, that's also why most of them aren't played in slow time controls
ah yes, the opening that only works in 600mmr but relies on the opponent being at least 1600mmr
nobody at 1600 is falling for the tennison
Never underestimate the stupid ingenuity of a noob
I know man, I played my sister in chess once where I was playing someone really good at chess and they had to leave so she took his place. I had a perfect setup for what I could tell he was setting up and my sister just move pieces left and right with no idea what was going on. I did beat her, but it took way longer than I expected because she was moving places that where awful and I was so taken aback I wasn’t thinking in my moves

@@krawc0 White moves first in chess but black moved first in this vid
Everybody gangsta until the opponent realises they're only a pawn down
everything relies on "they most likely moove their pawn to attack your knight" wich is a blunder, but ill try it
This... you found the part where i breaks down. You dont have to be especially good to think 2 moves ahead on the one single piece your considering moving to threaten... some people will fall for this, but not many, and this is the very beginning of being able to play chess effectively(think 1-2 moves in advance for singular pieces)
edit : after actively playing this opening (and also the black variant) i see a 5% sucess because absolutly no one defends the pawn with the knight, andBUT when this opening works, it feels great
fun fact: this is actually called the Tennison Gambit..
A youtuber named "Bosnian Ape Society" made a parody video about this which is titled "Tennison Gambit ICBM Variation" where he said it can be replaced by TOW Missile fired from an M3 Bradley if you're a beginner

Being a 600 elo player is part of what allows this to work
Nah it only makes it harder
This does actauly make it harder as for this to work, your opponent has to be quite skilled at chess, at 600 elo most people wouldn’t do those moves that are needed to set up the ballistic missile
@@user-gh3dc7zh5ypeople with high elo would definitely not play all those stupid moves like h6 and would see the problem with taking the knight, so only low elo players would fall for this
@@mightbe_aura but most low elo players wouldn’t play those moves either so for this to work you have to be in a sweet spot between high and low elo

such is the nature of gambits, if your foe knows the gambit they can decline, meaning you ruin your own position for no gain, or if they're bad at the game, they won't know know what a good move is to fall for the trap of the gambit.

One problem is to find an opponent in the middle of the curve...
End of the curve they'll just see right through it, start of the curve will baffles you instead
This only works below 750 elo. After 750 it could work but not %72 of the time. You can train other openings.
my brain just realized how foul of a feeling black must have after that
So you have to find someone who is smart enough to make these moves, but not enough to recognise the icbm gambit
OLD PEOPLE
a 200 elo would realize what their goal is before losing their pieces
Which is essentially like 2% chance to happen even when you're in that sweet spot of the best chances for this to happen because black can make so many other moves that change things up and requires white to improvise (even if they get a lead)
"Ah, it seems you've fallen for the old Tsar Bomba. In approximately 76 moves, this game will be mine."
This is basically the fried liver
we need a chess anime that exaggerates openings to this exact degree
You can watch the chess scene in "No Game No Life"
I love e5
e4 e5 and i respond you eith Nc3!! Get kicked for some vienna gambit that i have memorized the whole line
I did this once when I was like 13 in a school chess tournament. I’d never _heard_ of this actual strategy, I was just thinking 2-3 moves ahead and thought I’d try something ambitious. It worked.
That never happened.
...huh. turns out my "YEET THE QUEEN" strategy has actually a name that is even better.
nah. ur name is better.
Jokes on you, I usually just move pieces around without thinking 😅👍
I keep my next move a mystery, even to myself.
The tricky part is getting black to play first

@@joeymiller5331 damn didn't see it XD
@@joeymiller5331no, he played knight f3 first, black followed by playing d5 as their first move

The funny part about chess strats is im not good enough at chess to read them so i probably wouldn't always follow the expected paths
Tactical nuke in chess before GTA 6.
This is the perfect type of humor for me, I do not care at all about chess but I needed to see that intercontenental missile
I feel personally offended by this video and the comment section in general. As a professional chess player, I can guarantee you that no one over 500 elo will fall for this dumb trick. Anyone that's "quite skilled at this game" will see Kxf7 and won't play h6, as the knight isn't really doing anything there and it violates the basic knowledge of developing your pieces. Even if someone did play h6, no one with more than 20 seconds in the clock would take the knight. The only scenario I can see this working is in a 500 elo (or less) bullet game.
Well done comrade, the enemy has been obliterated.
Ive won a handful of games based on this strategy (that I didn’t know was an officially, named move set) where I find an opening in my opponent’s defence and load one or both of my rooks up in front of my queen. When the chamber is loaded, I send one after the other. Typically, the first rook is taken as a response, only for the second rook to respond. When or if they take the second rook, the queen is the decisive piece that garners the checkmate.
The set up is always a gamble as it has to been done subtly enough for the opponent not to notice, therefore it can take upwards of 5-10 moves to “load the chamber”.
Bro why is there a PUBG main theme 💀
Civalization Theme would be fitting because he plays like it, enemy took my Knight and my Builder, send nukes.
bird?
He's sick of seeing it, that's why he's sharing it
"I move my knight here!"
I'll move my knight too then, I guess, because you moved yours, I dunno
"Hmmm, how can I missile now?"
Instructions unclear my opponent checkmated themselves before I can finish the combo
As someone who can play chess but doesnt know the competitive strategies, I'm surprised to realize I've used this technique alot without realizing it
same before haha
You're probably just thinking of the fork attack by the knight (or specifically queen-rook forks). That is very common. This just uses _a_ knight fork, but it is not _the_ strategy/opening being used here. Pretty much nobody -whether they know chess or are clueless about chess- play this sort of opening. It's far from good and it's far from brainless, and there's no reason for people in-between to play it either unless they specifically had this strategy in mind.
This is the first time I've laughed at a chess video, thank you sir
"Forking the queen and the rook"

Why only 3 comments this is weird usually all the other videos have tons of comments
If black doesn't push the pawn to kick your knight the same moves still work.
cool will have to try.
Not really. If black plays Nc6, or e6, or Nbd7, they’re doing fine
As with swordplay, fancy gambits only work if your opponent is skilled

Bro, just thought of a Call of Duty strap ballistic missile inbound💀
This is the Alien gambit
I made too many of those moves, so my opponents react very heavily against my knight entering their half of the board. That move very often ends at me taking that pawn interrupting that power combo. I just used the knight as a suicide assassin way too often.
instructions unclear, i just started a nuclear warfare
Think I did this on accident as a kid first learning to play chess with other kids, game continued with both of us only having pawns and the king left
And if someone Acually falls for it, the blast radius is most the pieces on the left side of the board
Instructions unclear, there is now a chunk of land missing from the map.
Whenever you try a gambit, your opponent 9/10 times knows it and punishes heavily
The hardest part is to convince the opponent to start first as black pieces
Queen takes queen but then its a strategic attack after that to take their pieces or continue to force a check until they mess up.
After Qxd8, watch out for e5 because Bb4+ with a discovered attack on your queen will be deadly. I played this opening a while ago, but I stopped because your opponent usually doesn't follow this line.

The name sounds much more fun than the move itself. Like imagine telling your opponent "Here comes the intercontinental ballistic missile.".
This name would have given a victorian chess player a stroke

No wonder this has never worked on me. I don't see the knight as a threat.
Idk if this is a thing and maybes this is exactly it, but learning chess opening in shorts sounds like a cool idea
Only challenge in this opening is find someone smart enough to do those moves but not too smart so then they dont fall for it and you make the sacrifices for nothing 😅😂

- Some half-cocked variation of the Dizzi Whippet Defense?
- Checkers???
Somehow with this i got a scenario were i had 3 queens and a king and the opponent only had their king 💀💀
My biggest issue with chess is the fact I rarely know what I'm doing so my "next move" is difficult to predict
Me: “Hah, time to use the technique”
Opponent: “I wanna castle. Castle is safe🙂”
Technically it is an legal ICBM W78 Minuteman, the only flaw is that you need to find someone that is smart enough to take your pieces and correct moves that are applicable to do the trick.
