    Daniel Naroditsky is one of the greatest chess commentators of our time. The ability to seamlessly explain the thought processes of BOTH players, follow the game, and keep the commentary engaging and interesting is something that is truly amazing.

      He could not do that with Bobby Fischer, because Bobby brought moves nobody had ever studied before. He is not a mind reader,--just a good memory of traditional play, like most GM's.

      In the case of chess? If you are not half decent how are you supposed to get hyped over some move when you don't know what the fuck is going on exactly? Not just describing the moves and big theories, but saying things like "he will make the trade on his terms" or "he moves agreeing to the trade". Answer:
    It’s not possible
    Both have same pices
    And both are in such position they can’t afford to play different moves elz opponent will get chance to win d game.
    So basically they will play same same moves and in chess repetition considered DRAW.

    At 7:59 the commentator says that the pawn on D5 is untouchable due to the rook on A6. Can someone explain this to me? The rook on A6 doesn't threaten D5.

    • @MagicalKid
      @MagicalKid Před rokem

      Because if the bishop captures pawn on D5 the rook could move to D6 pinning the bishop

    At 3:01 Hikaru sacrificed his queen for nothing, right ?
    He could have taken the attacking bishop by his pawn and then the attacking queen by his queen
