For some time now, i have commented on almost every video (along with PM's your Instagram and dammit, i almost sent you an email...!) you have put out, since we got the news of the delayed production of the HB Agufish SIG guitar.
Now that we have a specific date of the (MUCH awaited!) release, i would like to say, from the bottom of my heart: Fuck Y.... i mean Sorry, for the amount of comments and PM's that i have sent about the guitar, the last couple of months.
The excitement i feel, when i see the pictures of the upcoming guitar, makes me so happy, that my dog films me and puts it on DogTube and gets millions of views. Iiiiiiiiiim kinda a celebrity.... Voof Voof and all that...
Anyways, sorry for my continous rude and obnoxious comments and PM's about the release of the guitar, these couple of months.
Im stopping from now on.
If i like the 1'st one (which i am 100% buying!), i think i will buy a 2nd one.

I think they look great, I too had Epiphones and noticed the frets where always high and the necks weren't always they greatest, Thank you for the content, always look forward to your reviews, THe New Joe Duplantier Charvel is beautiful, I am even into the Fusion Walnut and I just saw the Esp Japan factory tour, WOW, they are super talented.
I just picked up a Koa topped Custom, I’m just in love with it. They aren’t perfect, but I’m getting her dialed in. I even love the stock pickups, they sound just great. That neck is really odd at first, but I like they way it feels while playing. Biggest surprise, it resonates just like my 1955 Junior.

I appreciate how honest you are about your reviews. Some other channels just rave on and on about how “awesome” the one they’re demoing is but rarely give constructive criticism. You point things out that matter that are flaws when they pick up a guitar and play it. Great video!

@@graphicartdude that makes sense, but I definitely think it looks better than the old one. There’s a lot of issues with Gibson/Epiphone headstocks, but there won’t be any major changes “because tradition”
i never liked the original gibson headstock , gibson headstock looks better with a Epiphone name over it.. the Epi, kalamazoo headstock should be on a Gibson......... epiphone headstock looks good with binding looks bland without it.
but so what , Playing loud hard and fast , makes me forget about headstock.
I bought the ebony version and it's honestly one of the best guitars I've played and the quality control was really really good

I have an Epiphone 2020 classic model in a purple worn finish and I can honestly say it’s an amazing guitar, it sounds great, it plays great, the thinner than a normal les paul neck feels awesome, I have a les paul standard from the 90’s so I have a comparison at home and I’m extremely pleased with the new Epiphone

Yeah, I totally agree on the old headstock with binding was cool - and the new/old headstock looks cool without the binding - but in the end - it looks like Epiphone, which is the oldest brand of guitar that I know of - that is still around - was the surprise hit of Winter NAMM.
Great riffage! Thanks for the Epiphone props from a fellow Epiphile! My Epi Les P. Std is my fave 6 string. 2020 was an epic turning point, glad to see they did not undo things in 2021.

I'm with you on the neck thing. That being said,the new Epi LP 60s has one of the best necks I`ve ever felt on an Epi. 60s slim "C".
These new models look awesome 👏 I would now actually consider buying one ... there heading along the right track .
I am an epi fanboy, I have two of them. Always been a fan of the "clipped ear" headstock. The new headstock seems cool, but I would like it better if it were 10% reduced in size. It looks too large for the body. You can see it how the tuning machines are further away from the split diamond inlay, than on the other headstock. Just my observations, great video as always. Cheers!

I bought one... its a heavy guitar.. but i like it that way... i have NO issues at all with quality... and it plays very..very well... very low action without the buzz... i am very satisfied with the epi... then i installed gibson pups in it(500t/496r) it f$#king screams as i like it... worth the money!!

Some say he's followed a riff to the bottom of the Marianas trench seeking better compression. And the only thing known to make him squeal with glee is an octave pedal through Fluence modern pickups. All we know is, he's Da Fisch!

I have that exact same Epi LP Custom...it's buy far, my favorite guitar.
I have a Epi LP Custom just like this one. A older Epi LP standard. And a Epi LP Studio. I am very impressed with all of them. They are really solid guitars.

I got this a year or so ago as my first serious guitar after using a guitar center Lugana for years and I love it. Threw in a body and neck 59 humbuckers to get some more classic sound out of it (want Gibson 57’s but low on money right now) and oh boy i am in love with this guitar even more now. Next step is a new amp and a peddle and then a few years from now i have my eyes on the wine red Gibson studio les Paul. But thats years away from now.
hi, could you recommend an affordable amplifier to go with the epiphone les paul custom, as in less than $300, ideally less than $100 just to practice with really, i'd love some nice reverb effect ideally ... also i'd like a really nice solid case with some fur lining for it to fit snugly into
I love the headstock. It isn't a Gibson. It's an Epi. Don't think about it. Don't be critical. Epiphone is bada$$. No doubt about it. I'm in. Im ordering now.

@@williamsporing1500 I played my first Epiphone Les Paul Custom in 1989. I was at this huge guitar shop in San Diego (not GC) and I was there to buy a Charvel Predator and there was a revolving rack of Les Pauls. There was a card that said $399 above them. I decided to check them out. I had never heard of an Epiphone Les Paul. I'd only seen their acoustic and semi hollow guitars up until then. The first one I picked was a black LP Custom. Everything on the rack was a custom. Either black or white. I plugged into this Marshall Micro Stack that sounded freakin amazing and right away fell in love. This guitar had my name on it. At the time I was a touring guitarist in a metal band that was half hair metal and half Slayer. Yeah. It was interesting, but people loved us. Anyway, the black and red crackle finish Charvel Predator matched well with my BC Rich Warlock, Bitch, Mockingbird and my 3 USA gunslingers. I was trying to find a suitable road worthy axe to get my gunslingers or at least 2 of them off the road. I bought the Charvel cash. The store had a credit line and my young, long haired ass qualified so I bought the Epi LP Custom as well. Dude! I couldn't stop playing that damn thing! I later found an Epi flying V with a Floyd Rose tremelo bridge and after some pickup swapping I had two Epis and a Charvel that I gigged with until Nirvana killed the scene. I had the Epi LP and bought a few MIM Strats and started down the Grunge road until I was forced to cut my hair and get a job. Later on kids and marriage happened and I sold most of my guitars for bills, Christmas, cars, etc. I my 89 LP Custom. Now I have an 09 Epi LP Standard and a 2020 Epi Explorer and love them. I can't wait for the Kirk Hammett Epis coming soon. Hope ya dig my story.

Great Vid man! I’ve been playing Epiphone since the mid ‘60s. Over the years I’ve had a few sub par ones but I must say more Good ones than bad! I use them not because of the price as I have played Gibson’s and still own one, but more for their sound, feel and reputation! At 67 I still was Giging 4 to 5 times a week and doing Studio work at the same time (until COVID-19). Please keep up the Good Work, love your content! Please stay Safe and Healthy! I have owned many Gibson Les Pauls throughout the years. Some pretty expensive ones and a few here and there I got lucky on. I am down to my last one and only one. It's not because
of them ever being a problem, they were all great. Playing since I was 15 I'm 51 now so things change for sure. I never cared for an Epiphone to tell you the truth. I just couldn't get past the big
oversized ugly headstock to me, so why even try one right? So it never caught my attention. At the end of last year, It caught my attention. The Inspired By Gibson line caught my eye with
the new style headstock. Since the end of 2020, I went on an Epiphone craze and tried them all out. It started with a Sheraton II, I know big headstock lol but it was cool with all the mother
of pearl inlays very nicely done. The guitar I picked up used, played it, it sounded so good and easy to play like a Gibson ES 335. After that, I was all in on Epiphone. I decided next to get an
Epi Les Paul Modern figured, Epi Les Paul SG 61' Epi less Paul 59' Epi ES 335 Figured and last coming tomorrow, an Epi Les Paul black beauty custom oh yeah! I couldn't have done all
of that with Gibson. So, I can tell you, Epihpnes makes some great guitars. Thanks for the video.

I was under the assumption the fingerboard was ebony. If not so what. Any spec I have seen said ebony. I think. Reverb and guitar center stating on there website. I'm telling you the new LP Muse has the closest sound to the Custom PRO wtthout all the beautiful cosmetics. The muse alone has a beautiful color. I chose the red one and I noticed the red has a midst of gold sprinklers that you have to look hard to find it and once you do you appreciate even it more.
Someday, I hope, they will bring back an Epiphone RD

Great video and wonderful info on the new Epiphone line. Even though I am a total Gibson guy you video made me a little interested in looking into maybe getting one if it catches me eye. But...during the demo at about 11:30 of the video it looked like you had a capo on the strings past the nut. I cant recall if I have ever seen that before. Just wondering what the reason for that if for? Regardless great video of the guitar.

I had the Caribbean blue les paul getting delivered to my local music shop and it was meant to be in on Monday but corona obviously put a stop to that ;-;
I have one korean Custom Black Beauty from 2000 and it is my best gitar, and I do not mind the rosewood fingererboard. Tunes Forever and is Beauty to play and to look at! Epiphone can surprise for sure!

I agree with you I have a 2014 but mine is all modified it has Custom shop pearly Gates 50s wiring ebony fretborad tone pros new switch craft switch and input Jack Grover Locking tuners custom truss rod cover chrome toggle switch ring and tip over sized chrome pickup rings custom knobs and I got the frets leveled and polished my Epiphone is my dream guitar I love it plus I have USA Stratocaster Elite so I got the best of both worlds.
