I must agree with you there is nothing more beautiful than the black Les Paul , Epiphonephone or Gibson

if they put 57' classics or burstbuckers in this id be in LOVE. And I'm with you, I like a beautiful burst finish as much as the next guy but for me nothing looks quite as elegant and classy as gloss black with gold hardware guitar.

This is my kind of video. I'm a budget guitar lover, and modder. A good Epiphone is hard to beat. A good setup, and maybe a couple upgrades, and you've got a Les Paul that will destroy its much more expensive counterparts. My Korean limited edition, flamed ocean burst Les Paul, is one of my favorite players. It's absolutely a better guitar than my 60's tribute Gibson. I like a lot of the new epiphones, but this one in the video is a real contender. Just wow. I love those "tuxedo" guitars.

Checking the size of the maple cap is always interesting of Epi guitars.

I've had my Epi LP Custom Pro for 3 years now. It was made in Indonesia. There are a couple of small differences between it and the one in the video. It has a black tip on the pickup selector rather than cream colored. Also, the headstock is styled like the older model in the video which I prefer. And, it features push/pull pots for coil splitting, a plus. I love this guitar. It's not a Gibson, but at about 1/4 of the cost, it works just fine for me...

I wonder if a veneer maple cap would make any difference to these. Gibson really didn’t employ the maple cap on their Customs until about ‘68 when they also added the 14 degree angle to their head stocks for less string tension. 👍

I just bought the 2021 Epiphone Les Paul Custom and changed the pots to CTS audio taper Push/Pull with a 3/8 shaft. Thought I was going to need to ream the holes out but, they fit in perfectly. Get the long shaft trust me!

I definitely like that they’ve changed the binding from the dirty cream color to a brighter white like the Gibsons

I just bought a 2021 Epiphone Les Paul Custom Ivory/Blackback. Great guitar, but it doesn't feature the CTS pots, but it does have the push/pull coil split option. Strange, but I'm not complaining.

Very good and honest review. I wanted to buy this model for a while. In the end, I saved more money and got myself an Eastman SB57 instead. I don’t regret it. And details related to this video: the cavities are the cleanest and have neatest electronics work I have ever seen in a guitar. ☺️

This is my dream guitar, I have a strong passion for music but because of family circumstances I can't afford to pursue it.

I bought this exact black model this year from Sweetwater. For the price you get a great guitar - it’s less than $700. The one that I received did not have the junk under the back covers so maybe this guitar was a one-off. The overall quality was very good and it sounds great.

This quality of guitars epiphone made them a long time ago with the 2009 1959 epiphone les paul standard came with burstbucker 2 and 3 gibson pickups, and switchcraft toggle switch 500k cts pots and 50s wiring same as the 2020 59 outfit, except it did not come with the brand new headstock you see on yours today and it did not come with a graphtech nut, in 2010 they also released the 1960s epiphone les paul standard v3 with the same specs they only made 1,960 of them and for the 1959 epiphone they only made 1,959 of them but essentially what im saying is, epiphone has been doing this quality of work since way before the 2020 lineup came out
