`08 here with 71000kms, redesigned rotor installed by me and it runs like a Champ, these bikes are soo good that they fix themselves😂
Watching this last l series out of order .. saw you tear apart clutch first and was thinking your looking for a problem that maybe wasn’t there … then I got into this vid lol … hearing that whine I woulda first thought air /intake type of sound …. Then I remembered back in the day when buddies would use gear driven timing on muscle cars would sound just like this …
Yeah the straight cut gears seem to make a very similar whine noise. I haven't completely ruled that out yet, but I think I found the true problem. I'm doing some major work today, and hoping to have some videos up soon.
@@grimsmotovlogs369 my 09 fz1 (30k miles) has issues of its own but no whine ,at least not noticeable over all the other “bike noises”…. So yeah ,you seem to be chasing a worthy gremlin lol.. good luck
There is guy on Facebook who just said his is whining now after rotor install. I linked it to you on facebook.
I'll check it out it. I wonder why so many people have issues after doing the rotor replacement. Did you ever get yours put in?

My 06 has a little whine too, it has always been like that. Yours sounds a little louder, but not much.
Ive had people tell me that too. Saying that it’s normal. And if I didn’t feel like a vibration in my handle bars when it’s a cold start and I engine brake I’d think it’s normal. But that weird shudder made me think it was in the clutch area. Plus it sounds like it’s coming from there too. I’ve still got it torn apart rn. I’m going to check the oil pump/water pump tomorrow and see if it feels bad. The service manual gives no specs for the chain wear on the drive for the oil pump.So I don’t really know what’s good or normal. It does power off the clutch basket. So maybe there’s something there. Dealer said the noise wasn’t normal but tbh. I feel like I can’t really trust them
@Grim's MotoVlogs i know what you mean about the dealers. They like simple work and easy money. They aren't gonna give 2 farts about helping you diagnosing a strange noise with no obvioussolution. I rarely have a good experience from dealerships. I never trust them, they will lie through their teeth if it makes their jobs easier.

Maybe it is louder in the heat, I am in michigan and it is only 60 degrees today, I will listen again when it gets in the 80.s , because I feel like it has been louder in the past.

I have parts ordered. I am currently waiting for those to come in before I tear into it. But once they arrive ill be tearing into it. You have the same noise?

The dealer here told me my noise wasn't normal and I agree with them, but I have had people say its normal. I'm hoping its the bearings in the clutch area. The dealer thought it was in the cam drive, but I don't think they even tried tbh.
