      I’ve not been able to do much recently. I have had covid and I’m still recovering but it’s lovely to read these comments x

      @@BeverleighscraftychaosHQ oh I hope you feel better soon. I'm quite new to scan n cut still learning there is so much you can do. The problem with me is I have to do things for a long time before it clicks in my stupid brain. I tend to doing things I know how to do, plus I don't have a laptop or pc so it all has to be done with what's on my cm900. Thank you for the reply... xx

    Wow that worked really well. First time viewing your videos and I found this really helpful. I’ve just ordered one of the foil quills as I have a scan and cut as well as an old circuit so I’m looking forward to having a go. Thanks for the useful info x

    Thanks Beverleigh for demoing this for us. I have mine on order from Create and Craft and can't wait for it to arrive. As soon as I saw it I knew I would be getting it. Thanks again.

    Thank you for showing us how this works! I am in the US (NYC) and my Foil Quill just arrived today. Before trying it out on my ScanNCut 2, I wanted to see what others had done. You were the first demo that came up on CZcams and I'm very glad I saw this. (Love your accent!) Can't wait to try it out myself later tonight. Feel better and I will be coming back again soon to watch your other videos. Be well and happy foil crafting!

    Thanks Beverley, loved this tutorial. I now live in Australia (moved here 8 years ago from Yorkshire UK). Have ordered mine from USA - I am looking forward to playing with it on my scan n cut. Hope this comment finds you recovering well from your illness. Have now subscribed to your CZcams.

    Beverleigh thank you for showing us the foil quill, however I was a little disappointed as I could not see the preparation and finish of the project, the ScanNCut machine took up most of the camera frame.

    I always love your videos! I'm waiting, to buy a foiling kit, until July, when the metal mat plate comes out. Saving, in the mean time. 🙂
    Sorry to hear that you haven't been well. Feel better very soon! We need you!!! 😁

    Thanks for this ! If I have to purchase one size, which would you suggest? The medium tip?

    • @BeverleighscraftychaosHQ
      @BeverleighscraftychaosHQ  Před 5 lety +1

      Human Tales In my opinion for general use, I think it is most likely to be the standard or middle sized quill that will be used the most.
      However, if you are likely to want to do a lot of fine work then maybe fine tip.
      Or if your designs require a lot of fill then get the broader tip.
      It’s much cheaper in the long term to go for the starter pack as it’s like your more or less get all three for two, so if you can bear to wait and save get that. Though if you’re anything like me very much the ‘ I want it now’ lol i do understand- I blew all of this months and nexts on this item. I don’t drink or smoke so I allow my budget to let me have £10 a week for crafting items. Some people have much higher budgets and others much less. I try not to get swept up with latest craze but I desperately wanted this when I saw it launched at creativation (I wasn’t actually there but saw the videos on here)
      The good thing of that it gave me a couple of months cooling time, in case I came to the conclusion I needed it.
      I have in the past purchased items because they are popular rather than because I really need or even really want them.
      I hope this has helped xx

    Can I ask what have you used as a mat taped over your brother cutting mat? Is this to use your mat after it has lost it’s stickiness? I have found that the Artistix mats last a lot longer than the Brother mats.

  • @davidwhitesell4649
    @davidwhitesell4649 Před 5 lety

    I have read the comments about the Cricut mat being stuck to the ScanNCut mat BUT no one asked WHY? Has your SnC mat become unsticky? Since you were sticking the foil to the mat with tape, does that mean the Cricut mat is also not sticky? TYIA

    • @BeverleighscraftychaosHQ
      @BeverleighscraftychaosHQ  Před 5 lety

      David Whitesell I just prefer these mats they stick better and they don’t flop about the same, which also flicks your card off the mat.
      I was just sick of the brother pardon me but ‘pants’ mats - if eclips and Cricut can produce a great mat product for half the price, I’m sure Brother can do better- just my opinion, as I absolutely love the machine xx

      Sorry I had to comment but this is too Robyn- OMG!!?! How can you be so rude to someone that has gone out of their way too try and provide any help for others by her own experiences.
      Yes everyone is entitled too their own opinions but you could have so easily worded it in a far kinder more productive way or better still simply moved on.

    • @BeverleighscraftychaosHQ
      @BeverleighscraftychaosHQ  Před 5 lety +1

      Kim Dad thanks Kim - I just try to help and inform, I don’t receive any incentives to do this other than the pleasure of hopefully being useful. I was brought up that if you had nothing good to say, then to say nothing. Having said that I am open to comments and try to take them on board for future ventures. I’m not a professional with the camera or editing software, though I would say I’m an advanced crafter- I am a qualified chemistry teacher and work full time - I just give what I can of my time to try to help others, I would love to have the time to do more. I do appreciate your support, I am often overwhelmed by the lovely comments I receive and try to ignore rudeness - it’s too easy in this day of social media to be rude as you aren’t face to face with the person you are being rude to.
      I just don’t understand why people think that just because they don’t know a person or are unlikely to meet them, it’s ok to treat them like a doormat - so I leave a polite reply and move on. I get far more positive comments and advice than nasty thoughtless ones. Don’t worry I’ve got a thick skin - some children have no clue how to interact with people - I wonder why lol xx

      @@BeverleighscraftychaosHQ Bev, if I may call you that, please just ignore such rudeness. Like you I was bought up that if you couldn't say anything good then say nothing at all. I love your demos. You seem to be just a down to earth lady who takes pleasure in trying to help other crafters. You're brill!
