    Thank you so much for this tut as I have a couple of cricut mats leftover from when I had a cricut machine about 4 years ago. I have already started using them on my snc mat and they work beautifully so finally I don't feel so bad about the money I wasted when i bought them. (machine packed it in just after). Now on to learning about the WRMK foiling

    Toner reactive foil is by far the easiest way to achieve this sort of work. Xyron makes the Glaminator foiling machine that also can cold and hot laminate at 9 by 12 inches. If you need something larger and you also have a wide format laser printer there are toner reactive self-weeding vinyls you might want to check in to.

    Putting the cricut mat on top of brother mat is genius!! I cut through my first mat and they are expensive. I never thought of doing that!! Great idea! I'm so glad you shared this!

      Martha Holst it definitely works for me - I’ve said all along if Cricut and eclips can make a sturdy mat with great stick ability then do could brother - and they are half the price x

    Hi Beverly lovely video thank you however I'm really confused and lost myself! I have the foiling kit for my scan n cut CM800 (I think there the is a Q in it haha) looking for foil to buy to use with it I came across the foil quills so watched Ur lovely video for some info however my kit doesn't seem to have the same bits and bobs as it's and doesn't do the heating up process with that metal bit. Mine has a glue pen then once the glue dries the smoother tips to over it. That seems to be it so I don't know what foils to buy 😟😟 sorry for my long note but do u have any advice? Thank you xx

    • @BeverleighscraftychaosHQ
      @BeverleighscraftychaosHQ  Před 5 lety

      Natalie Goddard hi Natalie I think that you have the brother foiling kit which lays down glue first - the pen looks like a quickie girlie pen, with measuring lines on the side. Once the glue is down you and the foil then do the burnishing with a tool a bit like an embossing stylus. The foil you need is just craft foil.
      In this video I am using the we r memory keepers foil quill which requires heat activated foil.

    • @wyntermackenzie4952
      @wyntermackenzie4952 Před 4 lety

      Natalie, sorry for the late reply! You have to use a foil that is heat reactive. That means the foil that WRMK makes, and the couture creations foil [for the Go, Press and Foil machine - I think scrapbooking made simple may still have the best price], and the foil for the Glimmer machine. The foils that you have to use a laser printer's ink, and then pressure & heat, like Heidi Swapp's foil for the Minc, or one that you run thru the laminator, or Gina K's ThermoWeb wouldn't work. I hope you're having a good time with it!

      @@BeverleighscraftychaosHQ I totally agree. I had been in a debate with Brother and they did send me new mats. I never asked for the new mats, I was just trying to ask them to improve on their products. They just kept trying to appease without actually fixing the problem.
