Didn’t realize I was a Minecraft veteran. I remember all of this from playing MCPE on my kindle fire as a kid lmao.

I remember having the the Minecraft "Lite" version on the ipad and then begging my parents for the full version. Then my dad got it for me on the kindle fire and it was bugged and i gave up on the game completely for a few years... my memories kind of contradict themselves but i know those first bits happened for sure.
I remember in MCPE there was a glitch where it cost 6 diamonds to make a block and it gave back 9 to revert back

When you dropped items in the last console edition update, the old water sound would make it self known. When jumping in the water the new water sound was still present.

I recently got back into Minecraft, and boy shift-clicking is a blessing. I was amazed to discover that chain armour was accessible in survival through trading, and that sword-blocking was gone. I still have a hard time not using a pickaxe on wooden slabs, but I do love the horses and villages. Testificates finally got a good use!

I don't know how veteran-y this makes me sound, but I remember when the minecarts and rails were added to the game and was blown away when I realized I could make a roller coaster to go from my house to a mine without having to press any buttons!

I remember when villages had gravel as a path, and I miss when you can block your swords, and the old water sound, and I remember the fence, black wool, and torches in villages, ahhh... the memories, the nostalgia hit me HARD.

I remember when animals spawned in your home when you'd come back from exploring. This was back in 2011/2012, the game was being passed around on a USB stick at our middle school so we could play on our school-issued laptops.
2:22 i did that way to many times, it was because i grew up playing Minecraft on console, so it was many years before i played my first time on a computer, so i thought the "quick move" was a control setting, but i never found it.. so i just clicked and dragged everything, so glad i looked it up, otherwise i would never have figured that out on my own.

Like golden apple thing, wool in desert temple, super secret settings, the cactus breaking, chain armor, cake crafting, water drowning, dungeon pig spawner, the seed dossier, the water sound, the gamemode command, wool lamps in villagers, these was the things I didn't know were changed

I remember the gravel paths in villages. The grass paths look better but there's still a few old villages in my survival world that I plan on switching the grass paths out for gravel.
I also remember the wool being used on the desert temples, but that one I do really like the terracotta better, the wool always felt like a placeholder.
When I heard the water sound, hundreds of memories just came flooding back-
