The question should be 'CAN you buy Fallout Wasteland Warfare in 2024?', to which the answer is 'No, because it's out of stock EVERYWHERE '!
I ran into this problem, thankfully my google-fu led me to some interesting nooks and crannies and got lucky with a couple core boxes, if you're willing to get crafty though its easy to print and make your own tokens, cards and rulers for the game and if you're still having a really rough time finding core boxes or starters thers some fantastic 3d sculpts designed by Vermillion miniatures ( I think thats their name) and they appear to be really high quality and a good few folks out there will print them in quality resin. If you have the time, you can definitely get started
Very true 😢
This! Even their own website is OOS of the main game (and has been for a while).
Literally
Haha very true actually
Most people should wait for the updated version of the core/starter set which includes the the new armour rules and other changes. Modiphius said it should be available by end of June 2024.
There is one for preorder now that won’t ship till May. Is this the updated one?
@@LongLe-wx8gb Yep! Modiphius made a Twitter post a few weeks back about it. You can probably find a core/starter set from local stores or online like the video mentions but the stores won't be restocked until June/July.
So this is what really, REALLY bugs me about Modiphius - it doesn't say this ANYWHERE, other than on Modiphius own site, and only AFTER you've already clicked on an 'out-of-stock' item. I ordered a copy back in FEBRUARY when I did my pre-order for Fallout Factions: Nuka World (yet ANOTHER Modiphius product with a vague, shifting release date attached to it) and only found out that there WAS even an updated version of it coming out when you made this post! I love the idea of Modiphius games, but DAMN do they not want to sell them to you...
I feel like you undersold the hobby aspect of fallout waste and warfare. It has the Post-Apocalyptic feel of fallout which means terrain building and kit bashing is a fun activity that even the the most beginners can do. The models also function well for a modern or sci-fi game of your choice.
I also feel that the cost aspect of the game is a little overblown, especially compared to the big guys.
Thanks for a review video and great brief for those new to modiphius FOWW. I used to have the entire range of the modiphius sets but sadly sold 95% about a year ago. I chose to focus on Elder Scrolls Call to Arms. The excitement and new faces playing FOWW has got me considering returning . I've always played solo due to lack of interest locally but hopefully that will change..hope you're doing well Sam
Well I surely hope it's a yes as me and a mate have just bought into the system and have no sign of stopping!
Great vid! Thanks for the coverage, and I loved your Capital Wasteland battle map!
Thank you too!
Great video, thank you for making it. I’m planning to get it and start making terrain for it.
Hope you enjoy it!
The files for 3d printing terrain are not cheap but they definitely can make their worth when you mass produce a truckload of plates for Vault corridors/exteriors, lots of Greebles (sp?) for the wastelands and more than one Vertibird. Perfect for the "builder" side of the hobby.
Thoughts on Fallout Factions? I've been pitching that more because (1) hype for the new and (2) more intuitive to get to the table and play bc of the classic head-to-head format.
I believe the PDFs are out for all the previously released factions and it's easier to play doesnt require specialized dice.
So I’m intrigued by Factions but haven’t got a game in yet, hoping to at U.K. Games Expo
Everybody should buy it! Best skrimish game on the market!
Great video and you've been helping me navigate the waters of getting started. Your code however doesnt work on the US store. Just works on the regular store.
Yeah just the U.K. one I’m afraid
Way ahead of you. Got my Courier band and NCR army. We shall have our revenge for Shady Sands. A pity Joshua Graham is OOS everywhere. Now then Mophidius, could you release the Enclave Remnants so I can do the full Second Battle of Hoover Damn ?
Oh man I really wanna make a terrain version of Hoover Dam for this very reason
Getting a miniature of Liberty Prime is possible in theory. Harder in practice. Damn thing is rarely in stock and is pricey.
The Modiphius Discord is extremely helpful, and really low toxicity (outside of the radiation from three different Fallout groups (Factions, Wasteland Warfare, and the 2D20 RPG.)
Very true, it took me a long time to finally nab mine
Everyone should wait for the updated version coming early June 😀Would of been nice to release for when the series came out.
I’ve been an absolute nerd and wanted to learn how to play dnd. I couldn’t figure it out because I have an ape brain. I already knew fallout and your video helped a lot.
man you read my mind.
Awesome content,As always!😊👍🏽☢️
Thanks!
I want to get it but the resin characters arent available in resin atm.
Question, if your doing vs faction can a player play as monsters and robots; Or only the "human/mutant" factions only while the others are like NPC's?
Monsters are their own faction and can be played
As Kuja said, the monsters are their own faction which is pretty awesome :) same as robots
I love you man, thanks
No problem!
TBH I'm just a fan of miniatures, is there somewhere I can buy the minis to collect and paint? I don't really have interest in the tabletop game at this point but I do love the minis!
Absolutely! You can get the minis on their own from Modiphius or from some 3rd party retailers :)
If anyone in San Antonio, TX, USA wants to play, let me know!
I bought the game and I also bought the companions set with fawkes Charon and butch what would I need to use them?:(
You would just need their cards, they come in one of the expansion books but you’d need to double check in the Facebook group as to which one it is. Alternatively you could get their cards from the download section on Modiphius website :)
They need a serious update in models quality
So i should wait til june if i want to start playing and buy the new core box?
Potentially, although it depends on whether things are delayed or not. You equally could start collecting whatever faction you want to play as in the meantime
I am here because my GF has finally watched the show and now somewhat understands why I love fallout.
I am using the momentum to push this game into her 😂
Ad Victorium, we wish you all the best 😄
Just want to say regarding cards and the app, the app seems good for experienced players, but really confusing for a new player, not only that but you have to invest first before understanding most things, because it gives you bits and pieces but no context, also it seems easier to have cards on the table, because you’re not trying to navigate the app for each different model, and it’s just quick and easy to look at the cards.
Really good point actually I didn’t think of that
@@MisfitHobbies I mean it’s easy for experienced players to forget how hard it can be when someone has absolutely no knowledge, I’m new, and I’ve been exploring the app, and it is kind of rough to navigate.
It sounds like this game is really due for rules and possibly core box revision.
I believe it’s in the works
I always played warhammer 40k since RT, but I want to make a bunker table with vault underneath a city ruins. But I can not fund any reviews
Also can you 3d print your own models?
I really want to play this game, but I don’t have any friends who like Fallout
The solo mode is great but if you really want to play it with others then you’re absolutely right to try and look at it objectively
I put in Misfit Hobbies into the store but it didnt work is their a specific way to spell it
It’ll only work on the U.K. store, alternatively try TABLETOPHUB
just got into the game, going brotherhood of steel (would have gone enclave for my boy frank, but who can pass up on liberty prime)
Democracy must prevail
Can't wait to set up enclave remnenit group
A sub unit of granite company if there are those who get my reference
See,I love skirmish narrative games but as an actual system, this isn't worth the expense when there are SO many alternatives that are more interesting I'm afraid.
I want to get into the game, but everything is sold out everywhere and i can't even buy the starter set. I want to make brotherhood of steel for my collection, but NOTHING brotherhood of steel, ESPECIALLY anything power armor (which is why i wanna start with BoS) is completely sold out. Even Liberty Prime. How can i collect what they dont sell lol
Could anyone tell me how many hard plastic minis are avaliable? Thanks.
So the Fallout Factions minis are hard plastic I believe, there is a hard plastic power armour kit and the starter set minis are PVC hard plastic from what I recall
@@MisfitHobbies thanks very much
I need this in spanish :c
What's the difference between Fallout Factions & Wasteland ?
From what I’ve been told Factions is like the Kill Team of Fallout. Smaller scale fights, simpler rules and geared more for competitive play whereas Wasteland is more narrative focused, has campaigns etc
Wait a minute, did you state that correctly? The cards needed to play the minis....don't come with the minis?????!!!! Please tell me I am misunderstanding.
You can find them online for free
@@ratdoesgaming That doesn't make it better. I play X-Wing and Marvel Crisis Protocol. I don't have to download required cards to play.
@@williamskogen9895 when did I say that it was better? I am just offering a solution to his problem
@williamskogen9895 when did I say that? I just offered a solution to the problem, blame modipus entertainment not me
@@ratdoesgaming My apologies, didn't mean to imply it was your fault. I definitely blame the company.
The app is bugged and doesn't work
In what way? Have you contacted them about it?
i only bought these for fallout 2d20
i probably have armies worth of guys just for the ttrpg lol
Yeah, them selling the minis and then nickel- and-diming you for the rules to actually play the game you just bought with the data cards reaks of GW and is a total dealbreaker for me.
I should have mentioned in the video because it’s super important regarding this, Modiphius make all the unit cards available in the downloads section of their website shortly after that wave is released. These are the most up to date cards for errata etc. In theory what you’re buying with the expansion packs are physical cards, the item cards and a little book with some new scenarios etc. but it is possible to download and print the cards for free
Most of the time, people from other fandoms reject new fans for some reason. In the case of the Fallout fandom, is not the case. So far all the posts and comments I've seen online have been very kind to new fans. It is very appreciated, this means that there are more and more of us who want to know more about the wasteland and join communities that already know it.
I came from watching the series and that made me go back to Fallout 4 (which I left halfway) and now I want to buy a game to play with my group of friends who we play together every weekend. So thank you very much Misfit Hobbies and thank you very much people in the comments. I had to say it somewhere.
The FWW community is super welcoming, we all just love crazy radioactive things 😄
Are you Scottish or Irish?
Quick answer is no.
Hello,
Of course not !
Just buy minis and buy Fallout : factions to be released in June if I’m right .
I don't agree at all, FoF is a strictly competitive game, where FWW can be competitive, solo, or co-op. they are very different products using the same miniatures.
FWW and Fallout factions do not compete with each other, they fill different niches and attract - to some extend - different audiences!
I do agree with just buying the minis you like though, and not the starter box. 1. the resin models are way better than the plastic ones in the starter set and 2. when using the app, all you really need to play can be bought separately as a pdf or downloaded for free.
