Yeah you can install and set it as default launcher. How usable that is I don't know as its ages ago I used Nova and don't know all of its features.

Hey great review. Are you sure fingerprint reader is optical? I ask as some reviews say it's ultrasonic so I am confused-thanks for clarification
It has to be optical. Though they claimed to have a ultrasonic also for the Magic 4 Ultimate that basically behaves the same as this one here. So it lights up when a finger is put on it and needs multiple scans intially. If they don't use some kind of hybrid then this one is optical and does not benefit from the usual ultrasonic advantages.

So the global version of magic 5 Pro does not feature an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner? At least it provides the user with Google play market out of the box. There have been rumors that the global version will come with the ultrasound fingerprint scanner and it's a bummer that's such an expensive phone still comes with the optical one
I am not sure tbh. As Honor is weird with their ultrasonic fingerprintscanners. On paper it should be optical. On paper the magic 5 ultimate has an ultrasonic one. But it also lights up and asked me to scan from multiple angles and so on. I will check this out in more details for sure. But it seems they are both optical
Great video I just wanted your opinion please. I've got a Pixel 7 pro, I get bored of the same phone, is it worth me upgrading if I don't mind the cost? Cameras are important to me thanks
If you have a current gen phone which the Pixel 7 Pro still is I would wait for the next one. But if you are bored with it you get a better device here in terms of cameras for sure even if the difference might be by default not huge but Honor offers way more tweakability and "fun" features.

Not in the default Gallery app. But Google Photos should offer this
Can you share you feeling on daily battery life compared to Huawei Mate 50 Pro? I have the Mate but looking to change it with the Magic , battery life is very important for me so I will appreciate an anticipated share of your feeling about it.
Batterylife is noticably better than on the Mate 50 Pro

I don't have a stylus to test. No stylus option in settings. Floating Shutter is available.

I see if the camera is upside down Two above, one below , would have looked better from the back , I was wondering choosing the 66watt charger in place of the 100 watt that they have used in the previous version
I mean, choosing 80 watt will be more logical if they wanted to save the battery life but it's a big decrease to go from 100 to 66watt
Still much faster than Samsung Apple and Pixel

Ich habe es am 06.04.23 bestellt und warte immer noch. Da stand für das Cover ausverkauft, deshalb habe ich es zusammen mit dem Honor Pad 8 bestellt.
Diejenigen, die sagen, der Preis teuer ist, ich denke, das Honor Magic 5 Pro hat im Vergleich zum Markt einen günstigeren Preis. Für 1049 € (zurzeit mit Vorbestelleraktion, 150 euro Rabatt) hat man 12/512 GB, SD 8 Gen 2, beste Kamera und Bildschirm, 5100 mAh Akku. Konkurrenzmarken in diesen Features sind teurer als Honor.

I say that because I had a White Essential phone with the White charge port like this honor, and ended up scratched to insert the charger every day

Hi. Wäre es möglich mit Huawei Mate 50 pro zu testen? Habe das Gefühl, dass die Kamera beiHonor Magic 5 pro ab 3.5x viel an Qualität verliert. Ebenfalls sind die Bilder nachts schlecht. Die Funktion um Objekte aus dem Bild zu entfernen habe ich nicht gefunden. Sonst ist die Kamera bei 1x sehr gut und die Farben passen auch. Danke!

@@lltechview Es gibt inzwischen einen 5.5 GB Update, derzeit nur über Windows installierbar. Die Kamera wurde in 3.5x verbessert, 10x und mehr leidet noch. In dunklen...besser... ist noch Luft nach oben.

The case is sold out atm. Sadly too many pre orders happened apparently.
As for the screen protector. It is attracting dust for sure. It protects against light scratches and such.

That is right. Not on the global variant.
Why do you want a built in music player though? I usually use musicolet and it's honestly real easy and useful.
Could you tell me if, after disabling the Honor search, you get the notifications panel when swiping down on the home screen?
Ohh and the drawer mode is there, but under different settings. Some other CZcamsrs complained about this, but it's there for sure.
Sadly not. You need another launcher like Nova Launcher for this.

Tried it at the Honour shop..huge heavy less aggressive algorithm in low light compared to P50.WHY are honor phones SO expensive?used the 4 is still almost $900 In normal light the P50 cameras are better very hard to see the difference though.The 12Sultra can be found for $550 easily boxed 99% the other 1" camera phones not A comparison with the 12S latest firmware phone would be great..many would like a 1" model as a second phone due to size the 12S can modify settings to produce even better results & in std mode better than honour 4..The 5???

Yeah they share lots of common technology still and the Magic 5 Pro shows that they can also do very good premium phones.

Yeah thats what I heard. One of the weirdest ones for sure as it does not have any visible advantage to an optical but rather behaves like an optical

I like the design but the Honor ultimate is a horrible design and nothing really better except batter and storage I think a big loss there
