It’s also super tyre dependant. If you have road tyres on there, you’re going to get significantly different results than if you had mud tyres, or even decent all terrains.
@@BushAdventuresAustralia nice. We run Cooper AT3 4s, and sometimes the ATs just don’t do all that well in mud. Even a fairly small slippery rut can be hard to get out of once the tyres are in it. 😐
With those tyres no matter what your car is.. It’s nearly impossible to handle a muddy track. Well done Disco 4! What were the settings? I guess they are: DSC off, low gear with normal mode? If it is maybe you should’ve chosen low 2 with mud and ruts
Next time you go playing in the TATA truck, I'll tag along in the Nissan Patrol GQ Y60 TD42 inline 6, with its unrivaled ultimate build quality and reliability and masses of torque, I'll pull you out dude, with one hand on the steering wheel and the other sipping coffee from the flask........
That mud is hilariously slippery, especially with those tyres. Well done for giving it a real good go
Great video mate. People don’t realise how capable these beasts are. The independent suspension give great clearance for ruts. Thanks for sharing
im glad you like it it really is a very good vehicle offroad
Looks like a fun day mate, I cannot wait to. get out again. Cheers, Dan
It sure was fun
Really good throttle modulation and good driving skill
Thanks i Shall tell my dad
Great video. Good recovery
It sure was
Another great vid, keep them coming
I sure will
Cool video.
Muy buen video, felicidades.
Thanks
Awesome off road.
It sure is
Great video! Would you mind if I ask which wheels are you running? They look very sick and I'd love to get them for my D4. Thanks!
The brand is performance superlite wheels but we have since gone back to the original land rover rims with bfg ko2.
@@BushAdventuresAustralia Nice, thanks a lot!
now I know more abt the capabilities my d4, no winch but chains on the rears would help, a lot
Yeah your right its a very capable car but most people think its just a city run about.
It’s also super tyre dependant. If you have road tyres on there, you’re going to get significantly different results than if you had mud tyres, or even decent all terrains.
@@charliew8378 in that video we had Bf Goodrich kos but now we are running ko2s and they would have eaten thoes tracks like nothing.

need some more aggressive [mud] tires for those situations ..
Your right but we now use the bfg ko2 and they seem to do the job
Hola, buen video. Me dices cómo es la instalación del Winche !?
Yes i can its a hand winch that is not attached to the car we have yet to get an electric winch.
In which mode are you what tires
I think the mode was Mud Ruts and tyres we had on back then BFG Kos but now it has BFG Ko2s

Yeah your right we did use mud and ruts and that helped us but next time we will try low 2 thanks
wow, my D4 is itching to get muddy, gret recoveries there. What tyres you running mate?
we are now running 265 65r18 bf goodrich ko2 and they are a really good tyres i highly recommend them i hope you get Your D4 out there in the Bush.
Thanks mate, I’m running the Falken WildPeak 265 65 R18, fairly similar I think
You need some mud tyres
That could be good but most of our driving is more rocky rather than mud but we do just fine in mud anway.
Max Trax would have been good to have.
Your right but we sadly dont have any yet
just shows how good the disco is, as driver was not using a very good technique
it sure is a very good car
How so? What would you have done differently? I just got a Disco 3 and I am trying to learn to drive it well offroad.
Get a winch and some descent AT tires
We are now running the Bfg Ko2s and they perform heaps better and yes a winch would be nice.
Better tyres might help
Yes they would we have got them now
Wouldn't be many that could do it better.
Your right
You didn't have the proper tiers, mate!
They were not the best because they were quite worn but the bfg ko2s we run now are just fantastic.

Righto will see how that goes.
