Nice video! Some tips for you: - ELRS to dynamic 250mW (above 250 causes interference on hdz) - RC18D upgrade lens removes fish eye distortion - Micro v3 is probably a better fit for you. Even at 60fps, hdz is way faster than O3, but if resolution is needed, the micro cam is much better - tune and rates are important. The more linear your rates, the more youll notice how much snapier hdz is - try learning new tricks flying hdz vs O3. Everyone says they learn new things faster with hdz

I just got HDzero goggles maybe a month ago and have been flying that exclusively instead of the V2s. Yea, it’s not as crystal clear as DJI, but you can’t beat the feeling of being in tune with your controller. It gives the feeling of the quad being an extension of the body unlike the DJI feed where when you’re at the mid-end of the leash it gets skippy. Absolutely glad I have both systems on quads so I can have the full range and best of both worlds when I fly.
I kinda felt the same when I first got my HDZero Freestyle V2 with a nano 90. The difference wasn't that big at first. But there was a moment that I felt the smoothness of HDZero at 90 fps and now I like it. It's something that I can only feel with HDZ at 90Hz. O3 is smooth as well at 100Hz but it's not as instant as HDZ and I sort of have to expect the movement more and give room for error more. It's not that I always prefer HDZ 90Hz. I like O3's great image quality and penetration a lot. But when the quad is very close to the ground and objects, the minute details that I can get from HDZ 90Hz is great.
Dude, the intro of the video is just AWESOME!!! For me, the HDZ feel is night and day against the O3, especially in proximity flying. In an open field like in your video, HDZ would lose for video quality against O3, as the latency wouldn't make a difference anymore.

Total dog lover here! I guess I’m a little touchy with the off-lead thing because my dog is bad with other dogs and the lack of a leash could be a bad situation.

Awesome editing kev - I would like to see you fly 03 and HDZ back to back, maybe in more of proxy heavy environment, and see if the latency is more apparent there
If you don't feel like swapping the lens to reduce/remove the edge distortion try the 540/90 crop, I've found it 'feels' better for me when on the track and it's when I started noticing the benefit of the nano90, but seems we had very similar first impressions :) great video.

@@Kmart_FPV you and me both, I've already converted a second racer....and about to pick up a pile of gear from a buddy and be done with analog (part of that is due to the terrible analog module but that's a different story)
How does the latency over distance compare? I know that's hard to show on video but definitely becomes a safety (or at least precision) issue as range increases. I do notice it a lot on O3 when you prox fly objects 20m away vs 200-300m so your muscle memory timings have to shift as you fly further out :/ If they could fix that in O3 it would be a brilliant system
@Kmart_FPV I prefer the low latency of hdzero, but I honestly have been flying walksnail more. Range and penetration go a long way, pun intended. The fair question is walksnail or dji. I prefer walksnail, dji makes me nauseous.
Love that aos frame ay... Mine sits around though i break the mofos too much and they keep updating the damn frame whats it.. v5 now? Got sick of sourcing arms. Runnin source one havent broken one single thing and ive trashed it hard.. Wish aos frames would stop updating and would just stick to a version so i can buy 10
I thought the intro was really cool. I think better than the bear movie. 🙂 To me it looked like your confidence was lower than you normally fly. Flying the HDZ. I think the better you can see the more confident you can be. Although I would like to get away from DJI because. Because. The only option I see for me would be the WS. HD has ruiened me. Can't do analog. I just can't. I'm stuck with DJI Goggs and 03 right now but I am seriously considering the move to WS. Even if it is a little bit worse but I don't think it is.
I worked really hard on that intro! Thanks! I see the appeal of walksnail. especially if you only want to carry one set of goggles, then the whoop and 5" solutions make a lot of sense!
I also think there are improvements coming and they are more fpv consumer friendly also I think you can fly HD zero with the Walk snail goggles as well. I do not think you will ever get that option from DJI. @@Kmart_FPV
I've always found when demoing these kind of things to people that they should fly the faster system and then fly the slower one doing the same lines... so fly the hdz for a few packs and then try the same speed and lines with the 03.. YOu'll feel the difference
@@Kmart_FPV you won't need to time it actually. the idea is to get you used to flying the nano 90 "feel" and when you shift to a higher latency you will "feel" what the difference is. People don't really understand what they are expected to notice with these things which is why most say they don't notice the delay. You will be able to tell that the machine requires much less minute/second by second corrections to lock in you lines. it will fly on rails more than with a higher latency system. What ryan suggested with the higher rate one express lrs will help too if you fly on sbus on dji it should feel more apparent. we can get used to higher latency but for anyone flying fast a lot they will feel more confident with their lines and moves on a lower latency as they wont need to correct the quads position as much

I love my G2’s for cinewhoop stuff now. But for freestyle, I can really see in my videos a big progression once embraced HD0

I’ll keep both setups ready to go for the best option. I did warm up on the 03 before I flew the freestyle vtx

I can tell you put a lot of time on the intro video. I couldn't even think of how to do some of the things you did there. Super nice work.
