I've listened to 3 doctors here on CZcams and Amber is saying the exact same thing. I've lost 40lbs since December 29th 2021 with a combination of Keto, Carnivore. I learned about fasting because in February I got worried about not being hungry and eating once a day. Once I learned fasting was not only healthy but natural. I now eat once every other day and only when I'm hungry. I started running again (not very far) walking a couple of miles and lifting a bag of chains. I'm a truck driver, over the road. Now the benefits of doing what she says. I was on lisinpril 2 glipizide and 2 metaformin a day, I don't take any thing. Blood sugar went down from 300 to 120‐93 with no medication. Blood pressure 140/97 to 110/79. Erectile dysfunction gone. That's the big one for me no pun intended. Oh, and I get new clothes. My journey is not over but I started at 304lbs and I'm down to 264. I still got 40 to 60lbs to go. So if you share in my health problems, I suggest to listen to her and try the 2 diets or a combination of both for a bit, then start fasting as your hunger leaves your body. Good luck and may you be blessed in all your endeavors.

@@insider235 I am not sure about the science of it. I got the advice from a Manager at a loves truck stop. He had been on keto for 1 year and noticed when he hit a plateau he would go off of his diet for a few days then get right back on it. He claims to be down 150lbs. He started over 400 lbs down in the 250s . The break seems to work for us both. The little things I've noticed like exercise and fasting help out as well. Lastly my testosterone has come up from the fasting according to my doctor. That helps tremendously with all things. I am down to 225. That's 79lbs since Dec 29th now here in the second week of August. However I did cheat in July on my vacation for a solid 2 weeks. Been rough fasting and being as disciplined as I was. Good news I didn't gain any weight with all the hiking and other things my wife of 30 years likes to do. Good luck JT and do what works for you.

I cannot say enough how happy I am to find this channel... It has completely changed my health ....physical and mental. At 55 I was basically told move more eat less and menopause body is just what happens .... NO FREAKIN WAY!! Why my primary or OBGYN has NEVER suggested I consult with a nutritionist is beyond me?!?! I ate steel oats in the morning WRONG ... whole wheat or that nasty keto bread with turkey WRONG ... low fat everything WRONG and the weight kept creeping up... spending 2 hours a day working out or running 2 miles a day stressing my body out WRONG . Anyone about to follow Autumn and fasting (I do the 14:10) with insulin resistance eating you have to give it at least 6 weeks to see the difference ... I felt better after about 10 days now going into my 3rd month I walk 4 miles a day broken up into intervals and now down 10 lbs .. this is a lifestyle you can keep and if you have a "treat" day it does not defeat your work at better heath .... I'm unsure whether the body will then learn to ignore the insulin causing the blood sugars to raise, or if it causes low blood sugars due to the presence of the insulin, or if both end up happening, first low blood sugars then eventually high blood sugars.

Anytime, for any reason, I need to increase my insulin significantly (usually due to pregnancy or falling into poor eating habits), I notice immediate weight gain! Have you ever needed to lose weight? How do you know this works? I was skinny until I turned 41 and went from 110 to 118. From there it just kept going up and now I'm at 155, 5 years later. Partly due to medications I'm taking. I weigh 25 lbs more than I ever weighed in my life, including at the end of my pregnancies.

Intermittent fasting for the subcutaneous body fat depletion. Also, drinking vinegar water before bed and during a fast helps the body break down fats. Calculate your BMR ( basal metabolic rate) and your TDEE ( total daily energy expenditure) and eat the calorie amounts in between these two numbers. Lessening calories just tells your body to operate at a lower level, which can make you feel cold, tired, and want to quit. Oh yeah, and electrolytes 😊

Chia seeds… almond butter and nuts are high in oxalates which is a concern for those of us with previous kidney stones. I would sincerely like to know your thoughts about this . Thank you! 🌷

Yes eating carbs will spike insulin. Yes this means your body will burn the carbs for fuel. BUT just because you burn "fat for fuel" doesn't mean you are burning stored fat. Eating a lower carb diet burns the fat you are eating as fuel, not necessarily stored fat. This needs a calorie deficit. And you can lose plenty of stored fat while eating carbs if you are in a deficit. Telling people to eat certain foods to burn fat is misleading.

Hi There, check out Dr Jason Fung. Insulin is the fat maker. You can't burn fat when insulin is high. Most people are insulin resistance and most people get stuck on sugar burning mode. CICO don't work. Diets only work short term. Have a good weekend

Dylan Armstrong it’s more about your hormones than the calories. Where there is insulin, there is fat accumulation.

@@user-lj6hw1nj9o She's not talking about the belly area of fat, she's talking about the type of stored fat.

@Dylan Armstrong My understanding is that yes, you will 100% lose fat, but if you don't adjust your insulin and other hormone levels also, it will come back.

Try intermittent fasting. Autumn has videos on why you should try it. Personal experience: high insulin and insulin resistance cause strong cravings. Fasting fixes insulin resistance (but it will return after a while if you eat high carb foods frequently). 👍🏼😎

Another thing is that hunger is often mistaken for thirst 80% of the time
