    Accident Description: pCbcHTNpP2...
    𝗔𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗙𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝟱𝟵𝟯 was a scheduled international passenger flight from Moscow to Hong Kong, operated by an Airbus A310-300 (Reg. F-OGQS) on 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟯, 𝟭𝟵𝟵𝟰.
    The plane was en route at FL330 when, approaching the Novokuznetsk reporting point, the captain's daughter entered the flight deck. She was allowed to sit the left-hand seat while the captain demonstrated some autopilot features, using HDG/S and NAV submodes to alter the heading. The captain's son then took the left front seat. The captain intended to demonstrate the same manoeuvre when his son asked if he could turn the control wheel. The captain then demonstrated the same features as he did to his daughter and ended by using the NAV submode to bring the plane back on course. As the autopilot attempted to level the plane, it came in conflict with the inputs from the control wheel which was blocked in a neutral position.
    Forces on the control wheel increased to 12-13 kg until the torque limiter activated by disconnecting the autopilot servo from the aileron control linkage. The plane then started to bank to the right at 2,5°/sec, reaching 45°. When the autopilot wasn't able to maintain altitude the A310 started buffeting, which caught the attention of the captain who told the co-pilot to take control while he was trying to regain his seat. The bank continued to 90°, the plane pitched up steeply with +4,8g accelerations, stalled and entered a spin. 2 minutes and 6 seconds later the plane struck the ground.

    He never intended to let the children fly the aircraft: QUIET(!!!) partial disconnect feature of the autopilot. Unlike any intuitive notion of what an autopilot should be. Then NOT informing the pilots of the EXISTENCE of said QUIET partial disconnect feature... What could possibly go wrong?

    • @EGarrett01
      @EGarrett01 Před 10 měsíci

      Well he put the son in the seat for 4-minutes, which is insane, and the son, being a child, thought he could actually do stuff and tried to turn and hold the controls. Which is what disengaged the auto-pilot. I'm willing to bet that an untrained child being allowed to work the controls for minutes on end will cause planes to crash more often than a partial autopilot disconnect that has a light instead of noise.

      @wrathofatlantis2316 Před 10 měsíci

      @@EGarrett01 You are ignoring the pre-supposition he was working under, with his available knowledge, which as qualified captain he was in his right to think of as absolute: That ANY disconnection of the Auto Pilot would have an AUDIBLE cue. That this aircraft should have SILENT partial auto pilot disconnection, on top of that from a NON-DEDICATED CONTROL, is INSANE, even with the protection of a 30 second time lapse. The time lapse is just an engineer's dumb narrow-minded assumption that something that should not happen will NEVER happen... Furthermore, and this demonstrates the absolute stupidity of this, by having no audible cue, the pilot who would want to use this (little to never used) feature must look for a specific small item to even know WHEN his input will begin to have an effect, which means if he is interrupted in this interminable 30 second time lapse, he will either lose track of that moment, or he will have to re-start this whole 30 second count down all over again, delaying the action. A non-insane system should treat ANY potentially fatal partial Auto Pilot disconnection the exact same as a FULL disconnection, because the potential consequences are of the exact same catastrophic nature.

    eldar doomed them when he started turning the controls. If not for eldars foolish handling of the controls none of this tragedy would have happened. This crash can be put on eldars conscious, I'm sure he regretted his decision as the plane was going down.
    The father tried to save the plane, and kept telling eldar to get out of the cockpit, but eldar refused to surrender the pilot seat. If only eldar listen to his father maybe the plane could be saved. I cry for all the people going on vacation who suffer so tragically in there last moments. The irony is eldar didn't even have a pilot license.

      The FATHER doomed them, not Eldar.
      Eldar didn't "refuse to give up the pilot seat" he could not physically get out of the seat due to the tremendous g-force.
      Your entire comment is asinine.

      'if only eldar listen to his father maybe the plane could be saved' the problem is he did listen to his idiotic father when he asked if he wanted to sit on the pilot seat! the father is accountable for all of this

      Completely moronic analysis. An untrained civilian with no aviation training, whether he’s 15 or 51, has no ability to comprehend the complexity of what was happening regarding aerodynamics and flight control inputs. Claiming this can be put on Eldar’s conscience (which you spelled wrong) is nonsensical gibberish.
