How to Install a Slatted Ceiling In Your Van | Swell Van Co

This video covers the installation of our bamboo slatted ceilings.
What Comes in Your Kit:
•pre-cut + numbered bamboo slats
•installation jigs
•butthead screws, bolts, hex key/T-handle
•ceiling guide/map corresponding with your numbered slats
•black aluminum LED channel strip + lighting (optional)
Tools You Will Need:
•impact driver
•support rods (optional)
How to Install:
**Be sure to install your ceiling panels first
1. Remove the middle bolt in each of your ceiling panels (where they meet)
2. Bolt your installation jigs over the seams of your ceiling panels using the longer bolt provided
3. Starting with the front, left slat, follow your ceiling guide and slide your first set of slats (from left to right) in the correct number order, through your installation jigs
4. Use a 3/4 block, scrap, material to even the spacing between each of your slats
5. Screw down only the middle screws of your slats
6. Repeat steps 3 + 4 with your remaining slats
7. Ensure even spacing and straight lines with your slats from front to back and screw them down in the designated screw hole spaces
only for those you opted for the LED strip lighting:
8. Run each aluminum channel (with pre-made screw holes) along each side of your fan in between your slats and screw them down
9. Insert your LED strip lighting along your aluminum channels
10. Place your diffuser strip covers over the aluminum channel + strip lights
