Thank you 😢love you both. My own grandfather’s entire family were murdered except for him and his only older brother in 1915. He was hidden and only 2 years old. Left an orphan he didn’t know his identity. As a result my last name is not my real name. 😢

The video is exceptionally heavy with symbolism and for those who don’t speak or understand much of the Armenian language, like myself who is Half Armenian, once you know the translation which is available online while I was also helped by my mother, it becomes so much more
Aprelu April for instance means essentially “April is to Live” and the song is describing suffering and that no matter the suffering we as a people or those who have suffered such atrocities and survived must continue to do so.

Thank you 🙏 If I may share my family’s testimony. In the 1915 genocide most of my own grandfather’s entire was murdered. He was only 2-3 years old and orphaned and too young to remember who he was. As a result, I don’t have a real surname. This is the case with many Armenians. ❤😢
