    Nice, but many are waiting for ATEM mini 4K !!

      Agreed, although nearly all live streaming still happens at 1080p, a 4K solution would be nice to have!

    Can you please share the model numbers of both the talk back headset and 5pin XLR cable?

    Great video! By far one of the best i've seen
    If you allow me one question please. Can the Rodecaster Pro 2 be connected to the HD8 ISO? What would you use to do it? Would you use the XLR ports in the back?
    Thanks in advance and sorry for my English; I'm still learning

      Thanks for watching!
      Of course. You would take the 1/4" speaker outputs from the rodecaster into either the XLR's or the stereo jack inputs on the HD8.

    I’m having trouble controlling iris, gain, focus, etc on my studio 4k plus. It works fine on the exteme. But with the sdi connection it shows it’s connected and working in the software but the camera does nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

    I can’t plug my 1/4 headphones in it, have to purchase yet another device to listen, they’ve could’ve easily put a Jack in front… EASILY!!!! Then the 8 returns can not be used as buses but in the 4k version the can be… shelf the 4k til u get the ISO fixed. And please add instant replay to your product line…

      Or maybe you can upgrade to the 4k version to get all the 4k version features.

    Why don't they just implement NDI for remote cameras?

    • @ivarmh
      @ivarmh Před rokem

      Because NDI licenses would make the product too expensive to fit into the consumer group this product is markeded for. If you're commited to an NDI workflow you're already either using a Tricaster or a sofware switcher like vMix.

      @sovereignmedia1885 Před rokem

      @@ivarmh I am using a TC1, but I use NDI also a lot for video transmission with converters when I don't want to run a fibre. I am also using the ATEM Min extreme ISO for mobile projects and a HD8 ISO in another studio. Linking between SDI, HDMI and NDI makes life more difficult. The NDI license is not that expensive and it could be an add-on. It would make the ATEM substantially more valuable. But BMD has a different product strategy to not enable other protocols.

    Why would I even think about to invest in HD equipment?

    • @ivarmh
      @ivarmh Před rokem

      Most broadcasting and live production is still in HD. The added cost for 4K throughout a production from lense to end user screen is not yet cost effective. In cinema or recording for post production 4K makes more sense though.

      @@ivarmh I produce live HD content based on 4K footage just to get the extra reframe margin.

      @sovereignmedia1885 Před rokem

      All my cameras are 4k or 6k and I usually record everything in 4k UHD. Using the ATEM functionality for ISO HD recording and loading it into Resolve gives me an incredibly fast workflow to finalize an edit. I still can load the UHD files into Resolve and render for 4k when I need to.

      @Ivar Mauritz-Hansen true but at this point of time. Would you invest in a 1080p switcher? or a 4k switcher which can down convert to 1080p, so that you can grow over time to other 4K equipment.
