I bought a City last year. A few thoughts on the battery: I think Dualtron's original intent was for the buyer to get a second battery and swap it off during the ride, eliminating the need to find somewhere to plug it in. However, that battery is far too heavy to carry on your back while riding. The only real advantage to the removable battery is that it can be taken out of the scooter to be charged elsewhere instead of having to haul the entire scooter to a plug. One thing I noticed is that the battery door is razor sharp on the edges. You have to be careful when it's open. Last week when I went to remove the battery to charge it, the door slammed down on my hand and I had to have my thumb stitched up.
I hope that Dualtron will offer a more powerful battery for sale to replace the current one, however I also think the City hasn't sold well and that Dualtron will be reluctant to sell more accessories for it. Speaking of which, I think the reason they didn't sell the City with a foot rest is because they are expecting people to buy seats for it instead. I've seen quite a few people with seats on their City. By selling it "blank" they allow you to choose either a foot rest or a seat.

I converted a normal kick scooter with 16" tires to a electric and it rides 'sublime'. Even without any suspension I actually prefer riding it on gravel or dirt paths than to paved roads. For me personally this Dualtron City is a VERY interesting scooter.

DT customers asked for better pricing, a decent stem, controllers that don't blow up, proper display, bluetooth connectivity, smoother throttle, water proofing, a proper headlight and turn signals. Dualtron answers back with 15 inch wheels, LED lighting up the wazoo and higher prices.

Here in Canada, I would be paying almost $4000 for this. There is a lot more performance in other brands for the same or less money. VERY first mod I did was pull out the tubes, seal up the rims, install low profile right angle valve stems and go tubeless. I have been doing so many mods to mine. It hasn't been ridable since March. As a result, I have no idea what improvement going tubeless has provided other than historically it's always better to be tubeless. I'm assuming this will help my City too.

The part connecting the deck to the stem is taller than it needs to be. You can see the front swingarm at a much steeper angle than the back and even then the front of the deck is lower than the back. Really odd, this is the only thing I find really off-putting.
The front mudguard looks great, i disagree - it needs to be low at the back, which it is. The Zoom brakes are full hydraulic, i have them on my Victor and they are excellent. Lack of footplate sucks i agree. Decks look really short, and tyres look really narrow.

Great scooter but it’s very specific target market. This is the scooter that needs to be stored in a garage as it’s not portable and u can keep and charge the battery inside, great for commuting, however yet again another powerful scooter from a major player comes out with no built in high mounted headlight, no indicator lighting from the front, and no decent ip rating. Surely this was the scooter to nail those features but again some missed opportunity here. Scooters you can safely commute on in almost any weather and at night with full suspension is what people are after. It’s not all about most watts and power. Over to Apollo and the upcoming Apollo city then….let’s see what they come up with, if the phantom features are anything to go by then I’m hopeful!

Hey Adam - I really appreciate this video because I'm seriously considering the City - Have the Thunder II which I really like but looking for something a bit more tame. Jut wish the City had more range. BTW - Which Leatt Knee pads are you wearing? Thanks again. Great Video

      Hey mobayguay, I’ve been riding my Dualtron City for a year now and loving it! Here are some of my thoughts;
The kick stand spring is weak and just an accident waiting to happen.
I can’t see any use for the rear hazard light. The rear turn signal switch is too small and not self-canceling. No front turn signal so I added an aftermarket.
The hand grips rotate and I had to put zip ties on them.
The seat mount looks unfinished so I made a cover plate.
Cable wrap on the front is very nice but was not done on the rear wire so I put on my own.
Stem wobbles and creaks a bit so you have to lubricate it with lithium grease every 3 rides or so.
Some have commented about the motor noise but I rather like the sound of raw power, lol.
Overall, an amazing scooter and I don’t plan on selling it. I am looking to purchase an Apollo Pro out later this year as it seems to have all the features the Dualtron City is missing, and then some. Admittedly the Pro is not as sharp looking as the City.

@@lawrences517 Thanks fo your real user reviews. Do you still suggest it? I'm thinking of buying a new one, I think it was released last year. I wonder if they have made some improvements in the new production. What do you think, is it worth buying? By the way, the dealer will give me a new display screen as a gift.

    Bigger battery?
We here in Israel most scooters have 48/13
    And more advanced 48/18
    And in bicycle 48/20
I just bought 60/27 and yes as u say not enough for long ride
