- The Tau are often overlooked for being ya know... Tau. But did you know that they have the hottest Mechas on the block?

Doesn't feel right that the Tau are the ones that invented and use "THE ONGER GAUNTLET" but here we are. Blue Bovine Boys never fail to surprise me
I like the idea of a squad of space marines finding some suits and being confused why there is no horribly maimed guys or mind destroying controls inside it
Yea, the Tau battle suit is absolutely doing it better than everbody else. Mass produced, modular, versatile.
Imagine a Tau Armored Core game where you customize your own personal battle suits to battle.
I don't think Dark Eldar and Necrons are struggling to innovate. Necrons are just still rebooting and Drukhari innovation is... concentrated on unconventional fields.
Funny bit of Transformers lore, the original Transformers toys (aka gen 1) were originally designed to be mech suits and not sentient robots. This is why Ratchet's original toy looked so different to the cartoon version, and why the legendary Optimus Prime's original toy allowed you to open the cabin section of the toy. It was so you can add a tiny human pilot to the toy.
Dreadnoughts could be piloted by normal astartes and it was even possible for a normal human to pilot one in the past, but a combination of reasonable and retarded things made it so only paraplegic Astartes can use one.
The Battlesuits were the whole reason I got into T'au and Warhammer 40k
I am going to sound heretic but we need accept that the Tau have the best mechs in the galaxy, the imperium are literally wheelchair with guns that can't move shit really unless you are Bjorn and rylanor, the eldar each of them are literally (almost) fighting wail dreaming, the Orks just suck only function because of the Ork power and the necrons well major kill say it they all are crazy
A fun fact about Battlesuits that was in the Farsight novels: they can also serve as dreadnoughts for either severely injured or dead Tau (through AI)
"in a galaxy full of gigantic death bugs, roided up super soldiers and fungus that can bench press a truck" what a line, this channel is a gem.
Tau "for the greater good"
Fun fact
Funny Fact: Nanocrystalline Alloy is a real life thing, basically the smaller a Metals internal crystalline structure the better, smaller crystal grains make metals both tougher and harder.
It dosent matter if you suck in melee if you can shoot somebody from a different time zones
Tau: I heard you wanted a greater purpose, how about the Greater Purpose?
What I like about Tau battlesuits is that most of them have arms, but no hands. Instead you can actually mount some big guns on there like you are supposed to
It would be cool if in future the Tau start experimenting with Warp Suppression technology. Which leads to the space in their empire being free from warp.
DID SOMEONE SAY THE GREATER GOOD?
One thing that was left out of this dex and will probably be in the FSE book is Fusion blades. Also, the prototype flamer that is also a melee weapon. Tau are adapting.
