Unlike the other assassins, the Eversor don't travel to site by themselves. They get loaded into torpedo and shoot at the deployment site and they got collected back in the similar way. So while most assassins of the temples are human weapons, the Eversors are more weapon than human
So... they're literally weaponised humans, the others are just human weapons

Eversors are what you deploy when you want to VERY clearly demonstrate that going against the god emperor is a very bad idea.
Back in 2nd edition a friend and I decided to settle an argument to which Space Marine chapter was best with a massive 3,000pt battle between my Blood Angels and his Ultramarines, where we basically kept going till one side was wiped out. We allowed Imperial allies cos they had all the coolest tanks and of course, assassins.
Anyway, it ended with everyone dead except my Callidus fighting his Vindicare on top of a building. So the answer to which Space Marine chapter is best was "Assassins".

Professionals have standards
You know how in most stealth games there’s a couple missions that’s basically a “blow shit up and kill everyone” mission? That’s the Eversor assassins in a nutshell.
The callidus assassin that went to kill curze could dodge volleys of bolter rounds, effortlessly dodge melee blows from an enraged space marine and disable with melee strikes.
Even when she was in the dark, gravely injured and lost her eyesight she could still effortlessly dodge them.
DO NOT sĺeep on the callidus.
This is definitely more important than online school

In all fairness, of all these different schools of the Officio Assassinorum, Eversors are the most funny. Between a Blood Angel completely lost into the Black Rage and an Eversor, its a contest as to which one is more indiscriminately insane.
Plus, he explodes when he dies. Its amazing.

To be fair, he need an high power round to make the shot, target having a rosarius shield took him by surprise. Besides Vraks would have been simple task with good commander from the start or just let Kriegsmen do their thing at will as once the fat fuck took his hands off they actually succeeded in pushing through.
look on the bright side a bad day for that assassin turned into a lot of very good days for a lot of kriegers
Well he tried to shoot through a wall, either not knowing the cardinal had a shield or perhaps he shot a shield destroying round which was nullified by the wall.

I like your Aussie version of 40k. When I was deployed to Afghanistan I was sent to tarin Kowt and lived with Aussies. After a year of aussies I went to the mother land with a group of my mates and looked for drop bears and hoop snakes. Never found any but I hope to find some one day.

Personally I think Kaldor Draigo is more so since he literally spends 90% of his time fighting in the Warp killing endless daemons, and the other 10% of the time he's back out in real space killing more daemons before being sucked back into the Warp to continue his rip and tearing.
Doomguy is not batshit insane like an Eversor. He *only* has an hateboner for demons. He hates watching humans lose their lives to Hell. Meanwhile an Eversor would rip a newborn in half and then laugh maniacally about it.
Pretty sure kharn is doomguy. Aimlessly walking around a plane of existence in space surrounded by demons. Killing everything with an ax and his bare fucking hands.

Kaldor Draigo is Doomguy, Kharne is the Dark Lord who was revived in the DLC, and eversors are an attempt to recreate Kharne.

The palace complex is the entire himalayan mountain range, so sure drop a few nukes.

A direct hit by a strategic nuke on the Cheyenne Mountain Complex (former USAF Norad HQ), a massive granite mountain, will result in the mountain collapsing and killing everyone inside the bunker. So if Chaos wants a quick win, I'd go for the Hail Mary. Turns out Mount Everest isn't all that stable anymore, once someone hollowed it out from the inside...

I remember a comic where an assassin stormed a building, saw a bone and said “Emperor Preserve me.” And dies and in space the target gets killed by one of lady assassin, “We don’t just send one.”
The Vindy was the first thing in 40k that could actually reliably kill a Blood Thirster, back in 2nd edition. Blood thirsters could just slap round everything previous to this. Chaos was really OP back then, providing you could actually summon in your Daemons. Chaos Terminators have always been nasty as well.
These guys have saved my ass on so many occasions.

The Animus speculum of the Culexus is really cool giving the anti-psykers a anti-psyker weapon. It is like manaburn in space.
it's both an amplifier and a regulator. kinda hard to work with anyone when your mere presence makes them violently sick or a the very least very uneasy
And we all know why Culexus got this helmets: it's awesome headphones constantly playing Talking Heads "Psyker killer, psyker killer, fa fafa faa, fa fa fa faaa...." BTW them not having a soul is not what would make you feel a slight unease when one of them enters the room. its them looking like a a love child of Sam Fisher and the grim reaper

The John Wicks and the Eldar Penetrators of the Imperium.
There was an assassination attempt on Horus that actualy would have killed him.
Spoilers for the Horus Heresy Book "Nemesis":
A joined killteam of 6 assassins, one of each temple, was send to the planet of Dagonet to assassinate Horus. The planet joined Horus freely and he would visit the planet to verify their loyalty. The only problem was he didn´t came on the Planet in person, but his 13th Captain Luc Sedirae landed clad in Horus cloak and with a highly decorated armor and helmet. Which is why the assassins mistaken him for Horus and blew his head right off. Using a Vindicare rifle which was linked with the targeting system of a thermal-spear. He got a headshot with titan-grade weaponary.
The assassination was ordered by Captain-General Valoris of the Adeptus Custodis, without the permission of the Emperor. Which, in the end, led to the Emperor forcing the tempelleader to reveal their treasured identity to one another and made the Officio into an "offical" secred imperial partie under his command, so every assassination would need to be approved by him.

The details of exactly how Konrad died are unclear, but he definitely was talking the assassin through the step by step process

Nice to see the Vanis and Venenum temples get some love (nice drawings btw). They usually get overshadowed by the other four. Wouldn't mind seeing more Vanis stuff in the novels and lore.
That Venarum Assassin was supposed to have killed a guy who was getting too heretical for his boots but got caught in a warp storm for nearly 700 years. Hence the three day 1000 kill streak.

It's kind of ambiguous, but Blanks aren't usually Culexus Assassins: they still have souls, just ones that have a bad effect on Warp powers. Pariahs *don't* have souls, and cause everything to collectively freak out because of it, going way harder for anything with a connection to the Warp.
This is false. Pariahs, though often called soulless, just have really strong negative influence on the warp. Actual soulless things (like necrons, barring specific anti-warp tech) just kinda exist without any impact on anything psychic.
TL;DR:
Pariahs have negative souls, and can make psykers go boom. Soulless things have neither.
I love the assassins they're some of my favorite things in this lore
Thing is Legienstrasse of the Maerorus Temple was so bad-ass that she's actually one of the few people who was able to wore down an Eversor in direct melee combat.

Vanus: I have programmed the targets personal transport to crash at precisely 3:33 pm.
Venenum: I have created a poison from 11 herbs and spices that will blow the targets rectum out.
Vindicare: my turbo penetrator round went through two walls and the targets bodyguard before entering his right eye.
Callidus: the target took me for a nice dinner for "our" anniversary and then I cut his head off.
Callexus: he tried to hit me with the sith lightening attack I absorbed it and hit him with the rebound.
Eversor: RRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Honestly I think an fps centered around an Eversor assassin would be awesome compared to all the games we've had centered around Space marines. Although there wouldn't be any story development beyond pounding death metal music and a tidal wave of gore n explosions.
The Eversor is John Wick on steroids, meth, coke, Mt Dew, cough syrup and cybernetic implants. Everything would be a slow motion blur and fine red mist.
Sooo... hopefully someone will get to work on that!!

The first hammer and boltor episode really shows the assassins well.
I was gonna do 2 of each assassin last edition (one standard and one conversion for each one) as there was a rule where if you took them all, you could double up on one for free. Going to wait for new Guard book before I touch them though.

It was only one Night Lord. Talos the Soulhunter, and that was an amazing fight.
So, I have an assassin fan fic character who is from a combination of death worlders making him a naturally gifted assassin. Growing up on a factory world he was swinging around the pipes and machinery like a master acrobat by age 3. He wasn’t big, but he was incredibly fast keeping pace with harlequin solitaires after some potent drugs and biological activating a super mode which amped him enough that the costodians watching we’re having trouble keeping track of him. Notable while he is incredibly fast he is not that much stronger than a regular human, and lacks the steriotypical blankness of normal imperial assassins though he has an extreme resistance to any mental or indirect attacks. So, a fire balls will hurt him pretty bad, but a you'd have an easier time mind controlling an actual imperial assassin.
