This recipe looks great! There are three comments I wanna make though.
1. I wouldn’t put oil in the pasta water because it stops the sauce from sticking to the pasta and you can stop sticking by giving it really good stirs. I would use oil in gluten free pasta though because it is A LOT stickier.
2. You should reserve some pasta water and add it to the sauce before throwing the pasta in there because it will emulsify the sauce really quickly. Without it your sauce looks a little thick .
3. You also don’t need to rinse your pasta. I only do ice water baths when I’m doing a baked pasta like lasagna. What I would do is cook it al dente and then cook it the rest of the way in the sauce
That being said those shrimp look amazing and I’m sure it tasted great.

Love this recipe. Simple and str8 to the point. Ingredients i already had. Didnt have to run out and buy complicated exotic spices and sauces. Perfect for a tired person after a long day at work
Don't put olive oil in pasta water. It doesn't do anything except prevent your sauce from sticking to your pasta. Only salt is needed for the water. Otherwise good job. Consider using some Calabrian chilis in a jar as well. Gives so much flavor. Also I would consider using a little bit of pasta water when you add your pasta at the end. That starchy water will help your sauce come together.

The oil is added in pasta boiling water to prevent the pasta from sticking as it cooks.

True never put oil when boiling pasta. The reason is: when you mix the cream later on it will not cover the pasta anymore because the oil will repel it. The oil will coat the pasta which is not good. The cream or sauce should coat the pasta instead.

I love the recipe how I would like to point out one mistake that even seasoned cooks make and that is:
NEVER ADD OIL TO THE WATER.
Most veteran pasta makers add oil to their pasta water to prevent the noodles from sticking together, or to keep the water from boiling over.
Oil doesn’t mix with the water. As a result, only a tiny bit of the oil will make it onto the pasta as the water boils. It is more likely that the oil will attach to the noodles after draining which will prevent the sauce from sticking to the pasta properly.
If you do this, your sauce will adhere and enhance the taste.
If you have any leftovers, leaving it in a container in the refrigerator over night, the pasta will absorb more of the seasoned sauce.

It looks tasty, however, I would do in deferent order: saute onion first, add shrimps and chilly flakes, then garlic, a few moments later paprika, black pepper in order to prevent them burn and spaghetti at the end ...

Tried this recipe tonight. Came out great. I tripled the ingredients and made a big pot full. I cooked the shrimp mixture in a pot, which developed liquid on its own. To make sure all the spaghetti was coated, I did it in layers.....some spaghetti, then sauce, herbs and mixed and repeat. Family liked it. Quick and easy.

Ours came out like a darker color not sure if it was cause I didn’t put enough paprika but was good!!! & we used the smaller shrimp needed the bigger ones, was good over all just think the color through all of us off…. Heck yeah!! would make again!!

The pasta looks so delicious. Btw, I dont cook shrimp too long, especially if I use cooked shrimps. Basically, people like me, who love seafood, love fresh feeling. When you cooked shrimp over the stove 8 minutes, you will certainly get very well-done shrimps. In this case, I would like to remove the pot from the heat and let them sit for a 2-3 minutes.
