      that would slow things down for sure. I feel like these donors are probably having fun pulling guys from each other. But there are enough donors over the major conferences to pull a few players from top schools. at this rate the price for solid players will only go up. At some point when it comes time to ask for facilities, player costs, coaching costs an alumni base would start to desire a cap.

      It's given us the most parity at the top of college football in over 20 years. Look at the top 10/12 teams. They could all beat each other. There is no huge gap. First time an undefeated p5 champ out of the playoffs. It's been amazing for college football. Gaurauntee next year will be more of the same. Parity in sports is good period. We watch for competition. Not 1 team in the top 12 is leaps and bounds better than any other team. That's all thanks to NIL and the portal. There is going to be pros and cons regardless. Realignment on the other hand is and has been the death of college football. Much more money being thrown around changing the landscape with the universities than the players destroying rivalries and tradition all in the name of a dollar

    It appears that Cayden's father made a deal concerning more money 💰 and didn't leave a possibility for OU to try to offer the same money. This whole situation was handled in a very poor way and was very disrespectful to a program that is responsible for Cayden having the level of training that he has. I hope everything works out for Cayden, but the way this was handled gives me little hope that anything will ever be handled respectfully or above board until Cayden is old enough to handle his own affairs.

He told OU he needed X'$ to stay at OU, OU met X'$ but maybe said or made it seemed as if it was hard to get to that number, or that was the absolute highest they could go. Once he got the OU offer, the other school immediately beat it, and his dad said, "Pack your shit quickly and quietly!" NIL is part of the game now! • @OklahomaGanjaGrower
      @OklahomaGanjaGrower Před 7 měsíci +1

      @Austin-xt7ze it depends. It's tampering if a coach or employee of the school talks to the player. But a coach can call a parent, brother, sister, cousin, agent, or manager and say whatever. And from the sound of things, his dad is acting like his "manager". There are so many loopholes in the tampering area that short of having a recorded call between the coach and player, it's impossible to prove tampering.

It's just a matter of time, though! Because you're right! Something has to happen about this! We need to go back to the rule that if you transfer, you sit out a year. At first I thought back to Caleb Williams and the way his dad was involved with Caleb leaving. Then it hit me, this exactly what Marcu Dupree did in 1983. There was no NIL back rhen, but Marcus had an individual in Philadelphia, Ms. who played mind games with him, fed him full of stupid crap. Then right after the Texas game in '83, Marcus jist disappeared. I'm convinced we're looking at the same situation. Either a family member or another outside enfluence got involved. It literally destroyed Dupree's career and the country never got to see arguably the best running back of all time. I hope this doesn't hurt his career to the extent that it hurt Dupree's career. I know there's a lot of money being payed out in the NIL, but someone needed to tell him, the really big money will come in the NFL. And getting coached by BB would probably made him more money in the end. In my opinion this has gone way beyond just an NIL deal.

I could make a few hypothesis's based on this, i will refrain, but certain things, commonalities hold true. Lincoln was an example of a coward, dishonorable. to make excuses for the manner in which he left, says a lot about a person as well, i don't know what happened in Caydens situation..But to some it speaks volumes about someone in his immediate circle, I know at first appearance it may not seem like people reap what they sew, but in the end they do, they always do.. Luv mr. Green but i would have let him leave when he demanded more money. As a former coach...it's a lot easier to coach the young men who want to be there. I believe in BB enough to get his type players and coach them up

    sounds to me like the young man (and i wish him all the luck in the world) did not like the hard work demanded by the coaches and training staff. if i recall, back in the early days of Bob Stoops, we lost some linemen on both sides of the ball for that reason. i am not saying the coaches and training staff are wrong, i am saying the young man did not like the hard work. and let me say this... to be better you gotta work hard. harder than the opponent. some folks dont like that. ok. bye. good luck. BV and BB will move on from him and win

    So any school can just call up dad and offer him whatever he wants and dad says "pack your bags son, were Oregon ducks now." Or whatever school he goes to. That's ridiculous. But, I agree with Teddy here. They didn't even negotiate. They already made up their minds before they even talked to OU. After being here a full season, he can't even give his own team the same respect he gives to strangers? No thanks mr green. I would remove any and all offers to the green family and wish them well wherever they end up. Hope to play you some day and shove your ass in the dirt.
