Didn’t know that toilet bolt holder existed. I guess everybody goes through the tool buying stage..... you did make me want to go buy that telescoping magnet grabber. 👍
I use the magnet grabber all the time. Thank you so much for watching Turnings!
Good video. I think I suffer from the same addiction...buying tools I don't need. Heck, I purchased a Ryobi BT3000 table saw over 20 years ago. I put it together in the living room. Made my wife really happy. I have never used it so it is in my tool graveyard in my basement. That is just one of the many useless tools I have. It sure is fun purchasing them though.
Yea it is. Some tools turn into expensive clothes hangers.
👍😆👍
Thank you so much for watching mk4!
This who I model my tools after. I was going crazy buying them tools 😂. My tools look exactly like yours now.
👍😆👍 There should be a tool addict hotline we can call for help. 🤣 Thank you so much for watching DC!
You can tell how serious a maintenance man is just by looking at his tools... I know a few techs that go to work orders without tools. Then they go get a few tools in their hands to do the work order. Ofcourse they end up just walking back and forth to their shop just waiting time.
*we all go through the buying alot of tools phase😬. It comes and goes through.
Yep! Time walking around looking for tools will get you behind. Thank you so much for watching Maintenance Man!
Those are usually the guys wanting to borrow tools all the time
I'm a maintenance ma'am, I agree with the budget guiding the tool shopping. I've got a blend as well and also I'm not above a harbor freight trip if need be! That being said though I haven't had any performance issues with my ryobi tools. Tool shopping can get outta hand easy.
Amen! Well said Melanie. Thank you so much for watching!
I can honestly say that the 2 brands I get is Milwaukee and Ryobi. 1 is affordable and the other is for heavy workload. But I always tell people go with what you can afford. I also say get at least 1 battery of each brand
Am a maintenance man in md.good to see your channel.
Right on! Thank you so much for watching Bobby!
Great video. Yeah I have the same problem with buying tools. Me and the home Depot staff are on a first name basis. The irony is most of my work orders can be completed with basic hand tools. 2 channel lock pliers, drill, and 11 in 1 screw driver
Yep! "But you never know" is justification to break out the wallet. 👍🤣👍
Thank you so much for watching B.Michael!
Ridgid brushless is by far my favorite impact tool. Very affordable and you can't beat the warranty
Thank you so much for watching Ninja!
Omg lex....i just laughed. I have to be so careful not to impulse buy tools. Soooo much money that you can't get back. Garage sales, pawn shops....same tools for 5 bucks. You are right on the money....as always.
🤣Thank you so much for watching Jeff!
Nice stud finder there skid 😉 I am not as organized as you but i am working on it LOL .😎
That's the same one you sent me a while ago.😄
I literally ran a 560 unit complex with needle nose pliers, channel locks, pipe wrench, 12v impact, multimeters, 11/1 screw driver, gauges, temp gun, and a head lamp
That's all you really need. 😆 So true.
I appreciate the video and the shout out brotherman!! I dig that you just run what ya brung!! And those internal pipe wrenches I’ve yet to use one as well lol. Have a great weekend!!
Right on Neil! Thank you so much for watching man!
Great bunch of tools. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for watching the Gary!
Am a locksmith /maintenance man.so any help is a blessing with anything your teaching on your channel.
Thank you so much for watching Bobby!
I feel you on the harbor freight lol great selection of tools. I've been studying each tools you've used in the repairs and I was waiting for a tool video to see what stuff to have. I've never seen some of these hvac tools it's like some James Bond gadgets.
👍😆👍 I love easy money where I don't have to think hard. Those are the tools I buy. Tools that make me easy money without all the thinking. 🤣
Thank you so much for watching Scorpio!
Great load out skid 👍 I have pretty much everything you showed in the video, with the Goodmans we all have the hvac bag gets used alot. Thanks for showing skid bro!
Thank you so much for watching Rich!
GREAT VIDEO SKID, I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT AND SAFE SUMMER ....
You too Tom! Thank you so much for watching man!
Nice video man, I just got promoted to make ready and now I need to start buying alot of tools!
Right on! Way to go skid!
Thank you so much for watching Elmer!
Lex Vance thanks for sharing your knowledge with all of us!
Man that stud finder started going off when you put it in your hand 😂😂😂
Yea, I have that effect on all stud finders. 😆🤣😆🤣😆🤣 thank you so much for watching Shannon!
Much love from a soul brother up in Beantown
Thank you so much for watching Jesse!
“I gotta have that!!” I fell out🤣🤣🤣 great video man. Definitely a great kit to build from!!✅✅
👍😆👍 Thank you so much for watching Yodo!
" I gotta have that...." Lol. Classic. Great video...😂😂😂
Thank you so much for watching David!
Cool stud finder skid
I love it. I still use it almost every day. Thank you so much for watching David!

Thank you so much for watching Bobby!
Now I have to go buy an internal pipe wrench. Thanks for that😡😡 Lol. Cool vid
👍😆👍 That was a great time hanging with you guys Saturday night. Thank you so much for watching man!
@@LexVancedon't mention it, man.👍👍It was cool to have you join us. Definitely will have to try to do it again. Have fun out there
hey lex it look like you do residential maintenance how about commercials but l like you lex that's the attitude to become a better maintenance tech.
Yep, I'm in multi-family housing. Thank you so much for watching Alexa!
Talking about brand loyalties. I will use any tool. As long as it does the job, it doesn't matter the color, the sticker, the label, etc. As long as it gets you done and off to the next thing, that's all that matters.
Amen, same here. Thank you so much for watching Chris!
Instead of Tupperware, I have a plastic Plano organizer, which I found in the fishing tackle section of Walmart. Bass Pro shop sells them too. But it has like 10 or 12 small compartments, and I have wire nuts, screws, wall anchors, and other small parts. It's only about 4x6 inches and less than 3 inches thick. 👍
Great idea! Thank you so much for watching Scott!
80% of your tools will only be used 20% of the time. However, it is nice to have them all when you need them. In my residential property management world, there is no need to lug everything around in backpacks. My service truck is never more than steps away.
My carry in tool bag is golden and I am constantly upgrading it to meet the changing times. I use a lot more power tools than apartment techs. For example, I use one of my Dremels, or other power tool, on almost every job.
-
Right on I agree. I can 75% of my work orders with a 10 in 1 some channel locks and an impact drill.
I’m late to the party, but I appreciate the work! You’ve helped me out a bit. ( I’m new to maintenance) salute
Right on Danny! Thank you so much for watching!
Lex Vance keep them coming! 😆
I'm buying tools like crazy too
Getting new toys in so much fun! 🔩🔧🔨🛠️⚒️
Thank you so much for watching Richard!
Nice skizzors ✂️
👍😆👍 Thank you so much for watching CZcams!
Appreciate the video brother. I know how it is when you say you need to have every tool. LOL but good video.
Thank you so much for watching!
When I mean good video I mean, fall on description very good you. You're very welcome.
Have that same bag after your recommendation a few years back. Hows it going over there with the virus? I live down in WA and we now have mandatory disinfecting of the building 3 times a day now . We actually have residents stealing the TP from the clubhouse bathrooms >< keep up the good vids and stay safe out there
We're on alert but nothing too crazy here in North Florida. No confirmed cases any where near the area. Every thing is closed & schools have shut down for the next 2 weeks. That's about it. Thank you so much for watching ISPAM!
Hay quá
Si, he estado mantenimiento por vente años.
Man it never fails, if there’s a drain or deep dark hole that screw is going to go there. 😂
👍😆👍
Lex what about a a Propress for fast copper repairs?
I haven't used a pro-press yet because I haven't had the opportunity to use it. I like shark bites though. The new technology is fantastic. Pro-press seems awesome from the videos I've seen on it. Thank you so much for watching Mark!
That backpack is stuffed!!! Slipped disk in 3-2-..... 😂
🤣 I hate walking back & forth. I take it all! Thank you so much for watching Eric!
Nothing wrong with Ryobi... hard to beat the wide variety of tools available for that same battery platform. Sure I'd love to have the 12 volt Milwaukee impact for the tiny size and torque, but for what I'm working on 99% of the time Ryobi is just fine.
I agree! Thank you so much for watching Dave!
@@LexVance ok..finally gave in to a father's day promo at home depot and bought the 12 volt Fuel impact..... damned if my alternator didn't crap out that afternoon!
What is that green slime next to ur book bag?
Good video skidster, much appreciated!!
🤣😄🤣😄🤣😄 I've been waiting for this tongue lashing. Thank you so much for watching Nicholas!
Lex Vance peace brother man.
Also, if your Multimeter had a capacitor tester setting, you don't need to carry the ole Supco around . Although, the Supco DOES make it SUPER simple to test caps. So I guess if you do have the room in your tool bag for it, then bring it. 🤷♂️
Right on. I use the meter for caps and the supco for ohming compressors, fans, and crankcase heaters in these Goodman heat pumps. Thank you so much for watching Scott!
Anything to help taking down weather tubes from the doors, and the wood on edges of the doors ? And anything to takw out outlets and replacing them w new covers ? I hate cleaning or fixing dirty messed up drawers in the kitchen any suggestions
If I run up on that on my property, I'll record it. Thank you so much for watching Boo!
Can you do a video how to install two 3 way switches.
We don't have those on my property. I pretty much film what's on property. If I run across some at another property, I'll for sure film it. Thank you so much for watching Angel!
I carry a gigantic electric plug in light like that too. I didn’t see a pipe wrench on your load out, do you use them often there? Great video BTW
Now that I work on newer properties, I don't pull out the pipe wrenches much due to PEX being the new plumbing on newer stuff. I have a few of them that I used on older properties I worked at 20 years ago.
3:39 Same here
Thank you so much for watching man!
There's is nothing, and I do mean NOTHING wrong with Harbor Freight. I got an angle grinder from there that I used to build my smoker. I was grinding metal with that thing for a week. I'm sure my neighbors loved me since I was grinding even on Thanksgiving. Thing got so hot I had to wear leather gloves. Just hours of grinding. Got a torque wrench from there and a 3 ton car jack I used to lift my truck. Zero issues.
Yep I agree. People throw their tools around & treat them like crap & when they break, they blame the tool company. It's all in how you treat them. Thank you so much for watching ReelGuy!
Nothing wrong with the Ryobi stuff, quite a few years ago now I got a couple of Ryobi drill because they where cheap. My boss for a makita at the same time and the Ryobi drill have out lasted the Makita by a good few years and still work, althogh there is lots of play in them now so thay mostly just get used for wire/flap wheels and to lend to people.
Thank you so much for watching Heritage!
Would a magnetic wrist strap be a good thing to use?
Absolutely! Those can hold things for you. Thank you so much for watching Tommy!
Thinking of getting a backpack like yours as a tool bag..... if i do get it it might be loaded like yours is ...... is it heavy?
It's got weight to it but once it's on my back it ain't bad. I hate walking back & forth getting tools. So, I bring everything I may need in my bag. Thank you so much for watching plychris!
Nice video skid and You should see my car and my room dude It’s a sickness I need tool Anonymous
😆😆🤣😆🤣 We need a tool addict hotline we can call for help. Thank you so much for watching 19rappy!

@5:10 what is that tool to blow out clogged AC drain lines ??
It's called a gallo gun. I posted the Amazon link on a video in the comment section. You can order it and have it delivered to your house. Here's the video link: czcams.com/video/GV_U7xWGctw/video.html
Yo lex did you ever got around on buying a new tonneau cover?

Dewalt rocks..... I try to buy all dewalt
I like DeWalt too. Whenever my wallet allows it, I go DeWalt. Thank you so much for watching Bart!

@@51-FS daaaang noice!
😂👍
👍😆👍 Thank you so much for watching Viktor!
does your work pay for the tools or you have to buy them with your own money?
Work pays for anything over $100. I buy the rest with my own money. I prefer owning my own tools anyway. Community tools get ragged quick.
A mess
I just have a belt pouch and I do everything you can think of with the tools I have in there
Ah, okay. Thank you.
How much is that Klein tool bag?
Around $85.00 I got it on my website here,
www.dirtymaintenancenation.com/diy-tools-for-men/
Thanks will check it out.
