We were all under the impression that the SHs were too busy to hear VP’s message but it’s good to know that Robin is listening. Clou is probably Claiomh. Claíomh is pronounced “Cleave”. It’s Irish. The name probably comes from Claíomh Solais, meaning “Sword of Light”. It’s a common item that appears in Irish & Gaelic folklore. And I think it’s also really interesting that all the satellites are dying in a way that represents either their name or aspect. Atlas died propping up the Straw Hats, the world’s hope, Shaka died doing something good in freeing Stella from imprisonment, Edison died turning on a machine, and Pythagoras died trying to analyze why the seraphim were betraying them.

I think the reason Vegapunk said that Clover will not find the answers to what is right and wrong in the past is that he believes everything left of that time is heavily influenced by the opinion of their authors. While you might get some insight into what happened back then, attributing blame or judging who was good and bad is impossible without the full context, which was at least partially destroyed in the past. That's also why he says he doesn't want to blame any one side in his speech, because he doesn't have even close to the full context.
I was watching someone react to Post Ennies Lobbie during the Dragon reveal and I noticed that one of the marines said he never heard Dragons full name before.

If you look closely at the Punk Hazard panel, there's a head/skull - the one you speculated was Dragon 13 - and people are speculating that that's Onigashima. The actual Onigashima island. Now, I don't subscribe to that theory, but it could make sense. What if Kaidou took the island when he raided the place, and moved it around with his clouds like a mobile base all the way to Wano, where he settled and put it over an island that was roughly its size. That's a herculean effort but he's the strongest creature.
We know that Marco visited Onigashima before Kaido ever set foot on Wano, he was surprised they changed the name(we don't know what the original was), so Kaido can't be the one that put it there.

The panel says "growlll" through the door, so it has to be something living and Onigashma seems old. Could be the holographic dragon we saw earlier in the arc, again unlikely, but could be something Vegapunk saved for a last second surprise on Egghead for whomever came to off him. Kinda hope this was a teaser for the giant robot knight and a giant dragon teaming up to wow Luffy and his crew and hold off the Elders.
As soon as traitor plotline was introduced, we know it's either no Vegapunks or one on each side. By the process of elimination, Lilith was not only the first one introduced, but also the hottest one (for Sanji's harem).
The really interesting thing about Vegapunk commenting on not looking into the past is that he eventually finds the ancient kingdom's old technology and his entire career centers around re-discovering past technologies and understanding them.

During Marineford when Luffy shouted to Ace that they are brothers and the general confusion that caused, Sengoku clarified that they were adoptive brothers and Luffy was the son of Dragon, so that connection can be made. I believe that when this information was initially revealed to us one character said they had never heard Dragon's full name. Now for Garp that is trickier to say, I think the world at large has known him as simply Vice Admiral Garp or Garp "The Hero" for most of his time in the Marines, I am not entirely sure if the information came out during Marineford, but his Cross Guild bounty does say Monkey D. Garp on it, so either it was revealed during Marineford or by the Cross Guild, who are likely to know that

He dedicated his life to finding the truth, which means that if he was alive there was chance to collect more information. There are a few inconsistencies. It seemed that Oda mixed up and noone noted. In chapter 393, 28 years ago, Clover has already black hair. 22 years ago after O'hara, it's implied that Vegapunk was a recent addition to the Government. Moreover, 26 years ago, Clover was already stationed at O'Hara and it was Nico Olvia and her friends that were being chased by the Government. 28 years ago Clover remained at O'Hara and Nico Olvia and 29 other researchers embarked.
If the people of the world are confused as to why Ace had a D but Roger didn't, maybe some assumed it came from his mother. Or they just thought he was Portgas Dave Ace. 🤷♀

That is something that i have been bothered with since the reveal of Roger and Garp teaming up against Quebec. Literally a clash of D members. 2 of them being technically unconventional allies....why? Just why? Why would Roger help Garp to defend the Celestial Dragons? Why would Garp join and still act as a Marine in the overall service of the WG? He might not be under their direct command per say but still...the Marines is basically a tool of theirs to enforce their rule and order in the world. I believe that Joyboy as the first pirate was just an explorer actually. A seeker of the nature of the world. In his adventures, among his crew he would get an equivelant of Quebec that backstabbed him for his own personal gains. Later they became bitter enemies while a newly established by then Marines just labeled both of these adventurers as simply pirates to stain their reputation. Making them look as evil thieves. Thus creating this triangle of dynamic. -Chaotic freedom -Morality/Compassion -Restrain and Order
Maybe garp hid his full name and it got revealed later on? Because at this point D. or no D. he is the "Hero of the Marines", maybe the found out at God Valley or far later. I have been wondering why Harps called the "Hero of the Marines" and why he got that specific title while defending God Valley, maybe the reason was behind, where the Marines stood with the celestial dragons at the time, maybe Garp defending them was a way the Marines showed there worth to the Celestial Dragons, saving the very system he fought for, because even Dragon has stated that the Celestial Dragons are the problem, not really the world government or the Marines themselves.

I read the raws and noticed the giant mostly uses katakana with very few kanji, which implies the voice of a child, It doesn't really come across in the translation, maybe it'll be clearer in the anime. So you may not be that far off, It's easy to imagine the robot speaking like a meek child.
The Gorosei seemed to know what Emeth was about to do. Who else would know how to bypass immortality than the ancient kingdom & Joyboy? I'm under the impression Joyboy knew Luffy would encounter the Gorosei too early. Hence, Emeth, when the time is right.

Great reaction vid, I liked listening to all your thoughts about the newest chapter! As for that scene in which Clover shouts to Vegapunk, I don't think he's angry or desperate there (well, maybe a little of both actually). The main point was to make a shoutout to Vegapunk's moral sense/heart. Clover is basically telling him it's Vegapunk's moral or ethical duty to not turn his back to the voices of the past victims. Maybe Clover thinks this is a duty for a man of science or a duty of any man in position to actually be able to do something about it, or maybe it's even a moral obligation of passing the baton "if I fail, you do it in my stead!", that part is left up to interpretation. It's just such a Japanese cultural thing. It's like a samurai shouting to a lone ronin "it's your duty to avenge your lord and then to spill your own guts to save your face!". And at the end of his broadcast Vegapunk says the exact same words Clover directed to him back then. I think he is trying to pass on the torch to anyone who is listening and who will end up being another unfortunate soul to continue the research of void century, because Vegapunk's research was far from done yet. Ofc that's only my interpretation of that scene.
I think that “purest possible form” is going to be important. Whatever is on Laugh Tale is direct knowledge about the void century even more “pure” than the poneglyphs. Maybe even a colony of people from the void century, or something that Toki sent to the future which Roger couldn’t use because he knows it won’t arrive until the point of time that she sent it to, thus him knowing he had to wait 20 years.
Literally lost civilization. Since Oda has stated that the treasure is not gonna be just a moral story but actually be an object, i believe besides information and all it is gonna be something related to that civilization. Some relic? Some weapon? Maybe a hidden royal treasury of that ancient kingdom. I am certain on a relic mostly. It could serve as an important element for the usage of ancient weapons. Like some sort of a key. Making it extremely valuable.
the satellites personality are what vega punk believed to be those traits Lilith isnt evil, she just loves to make weapons, which vega thinks is evil. York is glutony/greed for power, pleasures(food and drink) comfort and opulence.
Vegapunk comes off as a really stubborn scientist who refuses to pass judgements on anything even when the immorality of something is obvious. Clover was understandable and even justified in his anger toward vegapunk. He watched his brother die and came to Vegapunk for help. To uncover truths about a world propped up by the government that killed his brother just for having the wrong name. And Vegapunk said “nah I’m not gonna help you.” Same with him supposedly not judging the morality of the people who killed him (The gorosei). It comes off as him being stubborn rather than actually considering the reasoning for their actions as being potentially moral. Because it’s obviously not. It goes without saying that ordering marines to kill people just for having a specific middle initial is absolutely and unquestionably wrong. Evil even. So him refusing to call them evil over it just comes off as stubbornness and scientific technicality rather than honesty. And by his own logic, Vegapunk wouldn’t be opposing the gorosei and the world government if he didn’t think what they’re doing is wrong. He KNOWS they’re in the wrong. Whatever motive they may have had 800 years in the past doesn’t justify their actions in the present. And he seems fully aware of this based on his actions. Which does lead me to believe his statement about not judging the morality of his killer could still be about Luffy. Because the government is certainly going to claim that Luffy killed him, even after the broadcast.

Man...the Vegapunks are dropping like flies. We only made it out with the one. So I was thinking recently. The Will of D. isn't genetic, right? Like, it's inherited through a family, but it doesn't grant any special ability. It just means the a holder has a will they inherited from their ancestors that they don't even necessarily know that much about. So in theory, someone like Sabo putting a D in his name because he inherited the will of a D member would make him just as much a member of the D clan as anyone else. Good for Denjiro. He's earned that Daimyo position.

We were all under the impression that the SHs were too busy to hear VP’s message but it’s good to know that Robin is listening. Clou is probably Claiomh. Claíomh is pronounced “Cleave”. It’s Irish. The name probably comes from Claíomh Solais, meaning “Sword of Light”. It’s a common item that appears in Irish & Gaelic folklore. And I think it’s also really interesting that all the satellites are dying in a way that represents either their name or aspect. Atlas died propping up the Straw Hats, the world’s hope, Shaka died doing something good in freeing Stella from imprisonment, Edison died turning on a machine, and Pythagoras died trying to analyze why the seraphim were betraying them.

I think the reason Vegapunk said that Clover will not find the answers to what is right and wrong in the past is that he believes everything left of that time is heavily influenced by the opinion of their authors. While you might get some insight into what happened back then, attributing blame or judging who was good and bad is impossible without the full context, which was at least partially destroyed in the past. That's also why he says he doesn't want to blame any one side in his speech, because he doesn't have even close to the full context.

If you look closely at the Punk Hazard panel, there's a head/skull - the one you speculated was Dragon 13 - and people are speculating that that's Onigashima. The actual Onigashima island.
Now, I don't subscribe to that theory, but it could make sense. What if Kaidou took the island when he raided the place, and moved it around with his clouds like a mobile base all the way to Wano, where he settled and put it over an island that was roughly its size. That's a herculean effort but he's the strongest creature.
I mean, he moved it in Wano Arc. But, yeah, moving it there from Punk Hazard is a whole other scale from moving it to the flower capitol
We know that Marco visited Onigashima before Kaido ever set foot on Wano, he was surprised they changed the name(we don't know what the original was), so Kaido can't be the one that put it there.

The panel says "growlll" through the door, so it has to be something living and Onigashma seems old. Kinda hope this was a teaser for the giant robot knight and a giant dragon teaming up to wow Luffy and his crew and hold off the Elders.

During Marineford when Luffy shouted to Ace that they are brothers and the general confusion that caused, Sengoku clarified that they were adoptive brothers and Luffy was the son of Dragon, so that connection can be made. I believe that when this information was initially revealed to us one character said they had never heard Dragon's full name.
Now for Garp that is trickier to say, I think the world at large has known him as simply Vice Admiral Garp or Garp "The Hero" for most of his time in the Marines, I am not entirely sure if the information came out during Marineford, but his Cross Guild bounty does say Monkey D. Garp on it, so either it was revealed during Marineford or by the Cross Guild, who are likely to know that

There are a few inconsistencies. It seemed that Oda mixed up and noone noted. In chapter 393, 28 years ago, Clover has already black hair. 22 years ago after O'hara, it's implied that Vegapunk was a recent addition to the Government. Moreover, 26 years ago, Clover was already stationed at O'Hara and it was Nico Olvia and her friends that were being chased by the Government. 28 years ago Clover remained at O'Hara and Nico Olvia and 29 other researchers embarked.

That is something that i have been bothered with since the reveal of Roger and Garp teaming up against Quebec.

Why would Garp join and still act as a Marine in the overall service of the WG? He might not be under their direct command per say but still...the Marines is basically a tool of theirs to enforce their rule and order in the world.
I believe that Joyboy as the first pirate was just an explorer actually. A seeker of the nature of the world. In his adventures, among his crew he would get an equivelant of Quebec that backstabbed him for his own personal gains. Later they became bitter enemies while a newly established by then Marines just labeled both of these adventurers as simply pirates to stain their reputation. Making them look as evil thieves. Thus creating this triangle of dynamic.

I have been wondering why Harps called the "Hero of the Marines" and why he got that specific title while defending God Valley, maybe the reason was behind, where the Marines stood with the celestial dragons at the time, maybe Garp defending them was a way the Marines showed there worth to the Celestial Dragons, saving the very system he fought for, because even Dragon has stated that the Celestial Dragons are the problem, not really the world government or the Marines themselves.

I read the raws and noticed the giant mostly uses katakana with very few kanji, which implies the voice of a child, It doesn't really come across in the translation, maybe it'll be clearer in the anime. So you may not be that far off, It's easy to imagine the robot speaking like a meek child.
The Gorosei seemed to know what Emeth was about to do. Who else would know how to bypass immortality than the ancient kingdom & Joyboy? I'm under the impression Joyboy knew Luffy would encounter the Gorosei too early. Hence, Emeth, when the time is right.

As for that scene in which Clover shouts to Vegapunk, I don't think he's angry or desperate there (well, maybe a little of both actually). The main point was to make a shoutout to Vegapunk's moral sense/heart. Clover is basically telling him it's Vegapunk's moral or ethical duty to not turn his back to the voices of the past victims. Maybe Clover thinks this is a duty for a man of science or a duty of any man in position to actually be able to do something about it, or maybe it's even a moral obligation of passing the baton "if I fail, you do it in my stead!", that part is left up to interpretation. It's just such a Japanese cultural thing. It's like a samurai shouting to a lone ronin "it's your duty to avenge your lord and then to spill your own guts to save your face!".
And at the end of his broadcast Vegapunk says the exact same words Clover directed to him back then. I think he is trying to pass on the torch to anyone who is listening and who will end up being another unfortunate soul to continue the research of void century, because Vegapunk's research was far from done yet.

I think that “purest possible form” is going to be important. Whatever is on Laugh Tale is direct knowledge about the void century even more “pure” than the poneglyphs. Maybe even a colony of people from the void century, or something that Toki sent to the future which Roger couldn’t use because he knows it won’t arrive until the point of time that she sent it to, thus him knowing he had to wait 20 years.

Literally lost civilization. Since Oda has stated that the treasure is not gonna be just a moral story but actually be an object, i believe besides information and all it is gonna be something related to that civilization. Some relic? Some weapon? Maybe a hidden royal treasury of that ancient kingdom. I am certain on a relic mostly. It could serve as an important element for the usage of ancient weapons. Like some sort of a key. Making it extremely valuable.

the satellites personality are what vega punk believed to be those traits Lilith isnt evil, she just loves to make weapons, which vega thinks is evil. York is glutony/greed for power, pleasures(food and drink) comfort and opulence.
Vegapunk comes off as a really stubborn scientist who refuses to pass judgements on anything even when the immorality of something is obvious.
Clover was understandable and even justified in his anger toward vegapunk. He watched his brother die and came to Vegapunk for help. To uncover truths about a world propped up by the government that killed his brother just for having the wrong name. And Vegapunk said “nah I’m not gonna help you.”
Same with him supposedly not judging the morality of the people who killed him (The gorosei). It comes off as him being stubborn rather than actually considering the reasoning for their actions as being potentially moral. Because it’s obviously not. It goes without saying that ordering marines to kill people just for having a specific middle initial is absolutely and unquestionably wrong. Evil even. So him refusing to call them evil over it just comes off as stubbornness and scientific technicality rather than honesty.
And by his own logic, Vegapunk wouldn’t be opposing the gorosei and the world government if he didn’t think what they’re doing is wrong. He KNOWS they’re in the wrong. Whatever motive they may have had 800 years in the past doesn’t justify their actions in the present. And he seems fully aware of this based on his actions.
Which does lead me to believe his statement about not judging the morality of his killer could still be about Luffy. Because the government is certainly going to claim that Luffy killed him, even after the broadcast.
Vegapunk wasn't talking about the present, he was talking about a war of almost a thousand years before their time

So I was thinking recently. The Will of D. isn't genetic, right? Like, it's inherited through a family, but it doesn't grant any special ability. It just means the a holder has a will they inherited from their ancestors that they don't even necessarily know that much about. So in theory, someone like Sabo putting a D in his name because he inherited the will of a D member would make him just as much a member of the D clan as anyone else.
