    “How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
    Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
    Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
    Welcome to the Young Nails family!

    🌟I know they know about this but it wasn’t mentioned so in case anyone still has issues floating the gel. Creating a slip layer (thin layer) before adding the bulk of the gel helps me. Gel tends to follow gel and therefore will move easily where you want it after creating that slip layer.
    I used gel on myself before I ever went to school and learned acrylic. Bc the acrylic smell is too strong for me to do at home. I still find myself gravitating towards it for my own nails. It’s so clear and I’ve found a product that has allowed me to grow out my natural nails so I never have to sculpt or use tips, which makes me happy lol.

      @@tavananna571 get a mini fridge & try keeping it in the fridge. It’ll level a lot better. Hard gel comes in different viscosities if that’s what you’re using so you could look for a medium or they some some that really don’t move at all. I haven’t really seen A flexi gel that comes in different viscosities. I like using luminary and I put it in the fridge.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Před 8 měsíci

      If you are feeling those heat spikes, it may be that you are using thicker layers of product, which can produce more heat. Try applying less product or using the “low heat” mode on our lamp. In this mode, it will begin curing slower & then the power of the lamp will increase to fully cure. You can also start by curing the nails just outside the light for 20-30 seconds & then place them fully under the light to complete the cure without the heat spikes.

    🤔🤔🤔 I never have problem with gel peeling off from smooth surface before, seen many others that don't have problems with that either on CZcams.

    Can we go from acrylic to gel? And gel to acrylic?

    Did you use dehydrator? I seen you went from cleaning to bonder. And what is base? I've never heard of it. I was taught dehydrator & bond is all I need.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Před 2 lety

      Yes, our product Swipe is a cleanser/dehydrator. The synergy base we used is needed before applying hard gel.
      Base has the most resin in it to anchor onto your nails. Base is your foundation for your nail.

    Do I have to put on protein bond?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Před rokem

      We recommend protein bond as it helps with adhesion and preventing chipping/peeling.

    What is the proper name for this type of nail extension I want to get it done but don’t know what to look for

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Před rokem

      They are sculpted extensions with nail forms. We are using hard gel in this video, but you can sculpt with acrylic as well.

    Can we use natural tips with gel?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Před rokem

      Yes, you can use acrylic tips and then apply hard gel over them. Just make sure to prep the tips like you do the natural nails as hard gel does not like a smooth surface.

    What about heat spikes?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Před 2 lety

      Heat is a result of any chemical reaction. When using gel and putting it into the light, the light starts that reaction immediately and you get that instant "heat spike." We recommend using the "low heat" setting on our lamp to start the curing process slower to avoid the spike. If you don't have our lamp, try using thinner layers of product or start curing the nails just outside of the light for 20-30 seconds and then move the hand into the light.

    I’ve got a question if anyone can answer when do you apply the dehydrator or the primer or do you not apply them? I’m super confused

    • @PrairieGypsy
      @PrairieGypsy Před 3 lety

      Dehydrator is only used on the natural nail surface and primer prepares the artificial surface. Hope that helps.

      If you're using forms: buff, dehydrate, put forms on, prime.
      If you're using tips: buff, dehydrate, glue the tip on, blend and buff the tip, dehydrate again, then prime.
      If you're doing an overlay: buff, dehydrate, prime.

    Is the protein bond really necessary?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Před 2 lety

      Protein stays sticky.. sticks to the natural nail and then sticks the product. You don't have to use it, but we make sure we always do to ensure our products don't lift, chip or peel. ❤️

    When you refer to the gel base, are you using the same gel foundation as you would for a gel polish or is it actually just a thinner layer of builder gel or a WHOLE different type of gel? HELP! lol

    I'm now confused, what's the difference between hard gel, soft gel, base gel and construction gel?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Před 4 lety +3

      Hard gels do not soak and can build with. Soft gels are flexible and can be soaked off, like a gel polish
