“How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
Welcome to the Young Nails family!

Great finally someone who did it correct instead of backwards ❤
I love you guys💯❤️my teachers 💯👌🏾
Love you! We hope you learned something new from this video on hybrid nails.
Always wondered if I could mix gel and acrylic and you got me the answer! Great as usual. Keep it up 👍
❤️❤️
i cant wait for my stuff to arrive i got both acrylic and gel supplies. im a total beginner lets hope this hobby sticks 🤣
❤️
The master strikes again!!
❤️❤️
Love, love, LOVE this. I have always struggled with getting a nice C curve on my gel, I never considered using acrylic as a moldable "tip." Thank you!!!
❤️❤️
Love it!!! Gotta try this!
This thought just came into my head LOL. You guys always deliver!
OMG finally! I've been searching everywhere for this! I'm not a tech, but I love nails and doing my own as a hobby. I thought of this method a few weeks ago, to improve clarity in glass nails (for beginners like me, and new to gel), but have yet to find a detailed video on it!
I thought "surely others have thought of this"... Why is no one talking about it! 😆😅 Thanks so much!
Welcome!!
Thanks for teaching us!!❤️❤️
❤️❤️
I actually use this technique whenever I build my own nails. Love the pinch but prefer the bounce and weight of hard gel 🙈
For sure
Love doing nails this way, filing is so much easier!
❤️❤️
I started doing this on my own nails because they are extremely flat and wide at the tips. I build the tip with acrylic, pinch and then add hybrid gel on top (because it gives me more time to be super fussy! 😄) I'm also really hard on my nails, so the acrylic tips give me extra strength so my nails actually last longer than a week...
Nice!
The good thing is from you tube videos like yours and asking google I learn that both acrylic and gel can be used on the nail
❤️❤️
Oh so neat..love it 😊
❤️❤️
Gorgeous nail!!
❤️❤️
Gorgeous 😍
❤️❤️
So cool done this way would never of tried this incase it never worked out but you have just proven it works and looks well...very professional:-):-)
❤️❤️
Looks amazing 🤩
❤️❤️
Great!!! Thanks for this
❤️❤️
Love all your videos!! Would love to see videos on different shapes. We always see coffin, tapered square, almond and stilettos.
For sure, more videos coming daily
Thank you for sharing this
❤️❤️
Amazing technique ! Thank you guys so much ! Your videos are so helpful for me as i am a beginner . I would like to ask you how long time after we apply the acryl we can do the pinching? And when we can apply the gel ? Aprox how many minitues in between ? 😊
Great tutorial 💖💅🙏
Thanks for watching
Thanks Greg 😘 😘
❤️❤️
Awesome video!!
❤️❤️
@@youngnailsinc 💖💖
I’m so glad the two will go together and you answered my question, it’s just I’m wondering does the acrylic and gel adhere to each other?! I just picture the gel separating from the acrylic 🤔🤷🏻♀️ can’t get my head around it but hey you guys know your stuff so I believe you it’s just I’ve always been under impression the two shall never meet lol. As always thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, it’s very much appreciated 🙏🏻👏🏻💅🏻🙋♀️🇬🇧❤️
Wow
Dude makes this look so easy man.
Right!?
Thank you for this video. Totally answered my question before I could ask it 🤣
Why didn't u use protein bond on acrylic prior to applying builder gel?
Hey I only use acrylic and i was wondering can you use your synergy gel base and top coat like a gel base and top coat polish ?
Hi guys, absolutely love your channel I've just made my first order for my young nails products and new e-file :-) please can you do more HYBRID nails with art? I'm a hard gel specialist and I do a lot of dimensional designs, I've just trained in acrylic and I'm not ready to do dimensions with acrylics. I would like to combine acrylic and gel to get my C curve perfect before having fun with the art 💅✨😊 thank you xxx
czcams.com/video/Z1zEZcIUAU4/video.html
Nice. The music is cool
❤️❤️
I've been doing this for years
love this!! you did not have to etch the acrylic before going in with the gel?
Nope
Interesting 🤔 never thought to do both. Ok so i have a question… do we charge the same as our regular full sets or should it be more???
This would likely be a decision you came to as the tech because you know that the nails are telling you this method is what would be best to help her nails get to the desired shape and wear. I would still charge my standard set price.
YoungNailsInc thank you.
I was told in cosmetology school that gel and acrylic dont stick together- but then we still used gel polishes on top of acrylic sets- but there is no problems with lifting or anything when using this kind of technique? Is it still a strong set that wont break any easier? Can you use a hard gel or builder gel or even an acrygel/polygel product on top?
Yea that's what was done in this clip, an acrylic nail with hard gel over. It doesn't work the same in reverse typically
Good morn YN💕♥
❤️❤️
Is it crazy to move to Anaheim just so I can take classes from YN?
lol Not at all
oh WOW! I love this thank you thank you #teamyn
❤️❤️
Always love the tutorial 1st thing in the morning. Can someone help I have a YN lamp but can not seem to find bulbs for it. Are they all universal? I've gone to website and emailed these lovley people. But no such luck. So the plastic part has 1 prong on either side and is blue and circular.. it has writing on the metal part says "professional products -119-40k/E-"
Our current model doesn't have bulbs that you change you just replace the whole machine
If i want to switch back to acrylics, do i have to completely file the gel off or will the acrylic adhere to the gel???
Gel sticks to acrylic better than acrylic sticks to gel. I would recommend removing as much of the gel as you can before starting with the acrylic.
I'm looking for encapsulated videos for short tips. My clients length doesn't go past the second line on your forms. Thanks, love the product and all of you.
❤️❤️
…you can guild nail tip with hybrid gel though. I have a messed up pinky nail and hybrid gel to build it out. I find hybrid gel easier to use than acrylic
Do you have any idea when your artistic sculpter brush will be back in stock?
ASAP working on it
😍😍😍
❤️❤️
Hiii!! I have a question. My natural nails are thin and like to have my nails done and I'm wondering which is better for for me, acrylic or gel?
If the nails are thin or damaged I typically do acrylic.. if they have healthy nails and or work in chemicals or water all day.. gel typically does better on them.
This would also be good to add a full base of acrylic so that the hard gel could be filed down to the acrylic and then soaked off. Some clients are afraid of hard gel because it is not a “soak off” service like acrylic. Everyone around here, Mississippi, is that way. Maybe because we are too poor to get our nails done on a regular basis. 😂😂
Just honest conversation with the clients. Explaining to them how well trained you are with your efile and how overall it is actually healthier for your natural nails rather than soaking.
Ooooh, there is nothing as nice as a well pinched nail!
Agreed
In east Europe (Poland, Ukraine) and in Russia we are thought not to pinch the nail. We work just with the form. If you put your form well, there is no need to pinch 😊
You can see this technic here if you want:
Pt. 1 czcams.com/video/5GsDxHkoRTs/video.html
Pt. 2
czcams.com/video/mTqAB5aguGo/video.html
Can you do this method with tips aswell?
Me gusto.
❤️❤️
Does this pinching the free edge not create some sensitivity in the finger? I have heard some ladies get pain in there finger nail area with acrylic.
Definitely not
I love a good C curve! #TeamYN
Wait..... are we still doing the #TeamYN thing or was that just for February?
We are but winners are chosen from our instagram account
So can I lay clear acrylic and put rubber base on top
This isn’t rubber base. We are using hard gel on top of acrylic.
I need acrilic over gel, because monomer I could find here really damage the nail plate and cause totally drienes and splittimg. So I made the first layer with gel.. But I wonder Is better only base or full first layer of gel. And the other question is, do you build lawer of gel and dippimg in acrilic powder. Ford that way gives strongnes or gives Nothing. Thank you for you teachimg guys 💗
Are you trying to do a dip application or a hard gel enhancement? If you are using hard gel, we don't recommend applying acrylic over this as acrylic does not bond well to hard gel. If you are using hard gel as your base, we would recommend continuing to build the structure with hard gel.
If you are wanting to do a dip application with gel, we would recommend using our Conversion Base and Top. Here's a video to show you that application. czcams.com/video/sqMtfNWv0Yc/video.html
Whats the difference between words/products concealor pink and cover pink? I hear it a lot but I dont know the difference
Concealer pink is the Precision Applicator gel and Cover pink is acrylic
Concealer pink is a gel, and cover pink is an acrylic powder
Can you put hybrid gel on top of gel builder?
Unfortunately, as hybrid gel is not a product wee manufacture, we can't speak on how it would work with our products.
Do you know why I get allergy reaction towards at home gel nail polish? I get those bubble blisters under my nails. Is it the lamp or the polish that I’m sensitive to,
Unfortunately allergic reactions can happen even to soap. We try a minimize our contact with products used for nails by keeping it off the skin however some people are more sensitive than others. We always recommend seeing a health care provider at the first signs of a reaction and then to keep all products off until you are completely healed.
So what would happen if you protein bond natural nail, then used a gel base coat, cured it and put acrylic on top with your monomer?
While you could do this, acrylic doesn't stick to gel as well as gel sticks to acrylic. Also, you do not need a gel base coat before applying acrylic. You apply it straight to the natural nail.
Can this also be done using a tip?
Yes you can do this on a tip.
There is already product called acrygel and it's usually inside tubes. Will you make a video about that? It's way more difficult with the tube
No we only make content on our products so we won't be doing a video on that anytime soon
😱😱😱 OMG...
❤️❤️
I don't work with acrylic (because of the smell)
Do you already have a video where you pinch gel nails? Link please 😅
Yep on our recent almondetto gel video he explains
I’ve been doing gel nails for 4 years now and am BARELY getting into acrylic. I have ALWAYS pinched my Gel! what I do is freeze the gel for 10 seconds when I build my tip. and when I pull it out of the lamp the gel is hard enough that it won’t smudge, and soft enough that it has a bounce and give to it that allows me to put a clear pinching clip on it, and then I can put it back into the light for the remaining 20 seconds to freeze the pinch. I work from home and the smell of the monomer is just too much for me tbh.
What happens if your client likes a tip?
Ive always seen and heard from other nail youtubers to not put your bits all the way down into the chuck of the e file for dexterity and more of the surface of the bit available for safer use.. Leaving some of the post on the bit exposed and out of the chuck.. I noticed you put your bits all the way into the chuck of ur file leaving none of the post exposed
... Thoughts????
We leave the bit partially out of the efile so we have full range use of the bit especially when working on long nails. Sometimes when the bit is all the way inserted it will leave you running into the hand piece of your efile when working.
#TEAMYN
❤️❤️
Greg I am not at that level I will have to practice over and over until I get it
❤️❤️
hi!!! everithing is beautifful.. Can I give you my opinion_??
they should put subtitles in Spanish. Isee them from Monterrey, N.L.
We have a full international section here on the channel that includes subtitles and working to add to it!
Hi Greg! What do you recommend for someone who has extremely thin, flat, wide nails. Acrylic, or gel?
Acrylic because like in this video you can pinch in a really tight C curve
@@youngnailsinc thank you so much for responding.
Hydride gel and acrylic doesn’t exist !!!!
Yet he made fantastic shape !
haha totally
Why would you do both???
Like he explains in the video there is a tighter pinch achieved with acrylic, as well as for damaged nails like bitten nails this will help them grow back the way they should
@@youngnailsinc Thank you, I must have missed that part.
Am I first!?
Looks like it
It's that simple: When there are ghosts you have to call the GHOSTBUSTERS and when you have to do nails you have to call YOUNG NAILS INC
haha yes
I feel doing in on an actual bitten nail would have been better
Doing our best to bring you content
Why does she look like she's bleeding at the cuticle ?????
No blood we're good haha
I may just be dumb but does anyone know why I may have just got a notification for this video today? I am confused.
You are likely subscribed to the channel which generates updates when videos post
So many step...I think it will take a lot of time😂
