You can bring in your kids dependents are not restricted only spouse..With my understanding of the new policy spouse will no longer be given Work permit but they can come in as visitors and won't be able to work,so I think🤷♀️

Your explanation isn’t quite clear unfortunately. These eligible schools share the campuses of the non eligible schools. So for eg. St Clair college at ACE Academy. It’s not the other way round. These DLI schools take up spaces in these non DLI schools to enable them admit more students.
You are right. The admission is from the public college with their campus extension to the private colleges. I think the policy applies to the programs offered by the private colleges in partnership with the public colleges

Hello Mr peter. I have already gained admission to Lakehead University in Ontario. I was thinking of applying for Mpower loan for my Proof of fund but unfortunately, Mpower loan is only open to any Student that is going for a two years program. The program I putin for is a three years program. Please what other ways can I get my proof of fund from please?.

What i would say is stay away from private institutes. You never know what ircc is upto. Who knows they maybstop pgwp from private college/university altogether. It will be safe to be in a public college/university

Hi again Peter, quick question- following the recent announcements limiting the issuing of study permits, it was indicated that only Masters and Ph.D. courses will qualify students for PGWP after they finish but you seem to be saying in this video that other certificates such as postgraduates diplomas or certificates can still qualify students for PGWP after Sep 2024? Please can you clarify?
You are right. He is wrong. All colleges graduates awarded post graduate diploma are not eligible for post graduation work permit henceforth.

@@Ms.Amalebo I don't need pgwp for anything. You guys should verify with IRCC before investing your monies. I know most of the students applying for the post graduate diploma already have bachelor's degree from their home countries so why won't you guys apply for a non-thesis masters program instead. Only masters and phd graduates qualify for pgwp currently, the law changed.
some programs at private colleges can't issue PGWP, but public colleges and degree programs at privage colleges should not affect the issue of PGWP. only my personal understanding@@sunshinemaye

Question - Asking for someone who's already got an offer letter from Fanshawe college, main campus London, Ontario for a 2 year diploma course. What about Mohawk with triso for May intake , if one attends it , Will the person be eligible for work permit?
You will need an attestation letter from the province for that program now.. If you can get that letter you will have no problem, but I guess this will not be possible..

These are universities, not colleges.
Victoria University is 100% pgwp eligible.. The restrictions will be on PRIVATE COLLEGEs who used licensing curriculum with other public college..

Eastern College has never been illegible for PGWP even before these changes. Only choose public colleges in Canada rest are always scams.

Not after this change, private-public partnerships will not qualify. I would recommend against going to any private college here.

1 year course = 1 year PGWP, 2 or more years course = 3 years PGWP. Fanshawe is a public college so not affected by PGWP change.

Diploma and bachelor's degree graduates are no longer qualified for the post graduation work permit.

@@sunshinemayeI understand you now, no college are eligible for spousal open work permit for diploma and bachelors degree. That is what I understand from his statement. Spousal Open work permit are only given to those people who came to do their masters or PGD program.

Her visa was filled on 22nd Dec 2023 and she received her study permit on 24th Jan 2024

St Lawrence is a public college, there is no change as far as PGWP for public colleges.
I should maybe add, no change when the course is from a public college AND delivered by the college not outsourced to a private college.
