Just stripped one down and re-fitted seals after mechanic found a fuel leak, thanks for the video - great stuff
Great video. I've bought a second hand pump and new seal kit which I can rebuild. It's a LUK pump. The part no. Ends in 'M' - I believe this fixes the vacuum joint as it's an upgraded design.

Hi mate any advice please ive changed the gaskets to my vacuum pump and when I put it back together I have no vacuum to the actuator at all my esp light shows and my power assisted steering also my brake pedal is really hard
looks like my Touran pump. I have a loose Hose(pipe) joint too, I want to stick Epoxy ,it is not a risk that Epoxy Gers in the pump? As it s constructed looks really Sealed

My vacuum hose connecting to this was lose so i had a loss of turbo pressure and i just added some silicone and that fixed it from the day after
Hello! Excellent video! Can you please tell if you removed from the car the DIESEL COOLER. I see you blocked 2 pipes coming from the fuel filter assembley. Do you have any adverse effects or any problems? Thank you very much!
Thanks for the info. I have a Audi tdi. Diesel is leaking from somewhere below this thing. The mechanic said the vacuum pump have a leak. Just had to double check never heard of vacuum+feulpump in one.
This pump is making vacuum for the breaks and also fuel goes thru it to the camshaft-injectors.
take care, you put two gaskets at the pump cover (the green one and the black one) only one of the two is placed, depending on the pump model.
My pump finally stopped leaking after I put metal gasket too.
this is correct only one depending on model

Hi there, Thanks for this super nice video! My pump is leaking very small amounts of diesel only when running. Engine works and starts fine. I want to replace the seals to stop this. Would it suffice to only remove the middle part (the part you hold in your hands at the 3:00) and cover plate, and keep the back part attached to the engine? Or is complete removal from the engine better or needed?
Hi i think it's more be easy to take out pump and replace seal outside , if you disassemble cover also check your springs

Hi, Great video, I’ve bought the repair kit but I’m having trouble installing the little brown circle part it’s the one with the little springs inside it ! The old one was very hard to take out and now really stuck at this part any help would be much appreciated

to insert new part used standart socket for wrench - with same outlet diameter as Seal - just pushed it inside (pay attention must be flat to insert it smoothly , also you can add little bit oil on surface to reduce friction

There is a water hoe just below this tandem pump and that leaks coolant all the time. Anybody has a partnumber for that?

Did you cut a flat screw driver slot with a dremel into the three screws that hold the top plate of the fuel pump? Mine did strip the torx slot at the first attempt :(

Hi . didn't fill there is an electric low pressure pump from the gas tank
Did you have to crank for long timr after replacing on first start? Or just cycle the key many times to prime the pump?
Are you sure you need to put the metal gasket over the rubber gasket?
I ask because there are some differences between models, some models do not have channels for rubber gasket below the main cover so for this version is rigid gasket, so that is why the put rubber and rigid gaskets in the kits because of differences in versions.
Also it would be good tho show removal from the engine and putting it back, should there be aditional gasket between the wall of the engine and the pump?

Hi,did this solved the starting problem ? mine only leaks without making any starting issues
yes, the problem was solved by replacing the gaskets
the symptom was after a long time ( few hours) the engine is off the pressure of the fuel fell down.
if you not have leaks from tandem pump - there is also can be one way valve in the outlet line it is integrated into the tandem pump - if it is not keep pressure you will get same symptom
before that I changed the input line one way valve - it did not help

I REMOVED OLD O-RINGS ,EXCEPT SPRINGS ,SEMERING AND WASHER OF SCREW NEAR FILTER.I PUT NEW SCREWS ,FIXED ON POSITION.STARTED ENGINE, DIESEL OIL LEAK FROM COVER OF FUEL PUMP (FIXED WITH 5 SCREWS).I REPLACED THE O-RINGS OF COVER AND I PUT THE ANOTHER GASKET FROM KIT,THE BLACK ONE.I FIXED ON ENGINE, AND AGAIN LEAKAGE ,SAME PLACE,FROM COVER WITHOUT START ENGINE, ONLY CONECTED ALL FUEL HOSES.I TOUCHED WITH FINGERS THE COVER AND I FOUND FUEL,,WIPE-OUT WITH ONE RAG,AFTER FEW MOMENTS AGAIN PUT FINGER BETWEEN COVER AND BODY PUMP,FOUND FUEL LEAK AGAIN.I INSPECTED THE COVER,PUMP BODY FOR ANY CRACK ,BUT I DID NOT FOUNS.WHY MY TANDEM PUMP STILL LEAK FUEL FROM COVER?
IS POSIBLE THAT FUEL LEAK DUE TO OF NEW COVER SCREWS ARE LONGER THAN OLD COVER SCREWS?I DID NOT COMPARE YET THE LENGTH OF NEW SCREWS WITH OLD SCREWS.
