    Rich you are a STRAIGHT STUD when it comes to rebuilds. I became a fan, follower & subscriber back when you listed a completely rebuilt 660R Arctic for sale on the forum. Stay true like a 90°and people will believe you! Keep it real & stay true.

    Wanna see a full wrap around 092 Talkin to a big oak.
    Wore a few out in the BC Coastal timber. Still my favorite, but not the boy I was then, heavyweight stuff even for today.

      I have couple of 064 myself and I think they are great saw, really can compete with new ones but I prefer them as easier to work on and adapt. Love your videos.

    Looks Brand New. You should try time sert instead of healing coils Night and day difference. You don't see that style muffler With the holes in the grill too often.

      Thanks John! I've got the time sert kit for the bar studs. Super sweet kit, pricey tho. Actually using time serts today for a 462 with pulled threads.

    Awesome saw!, were you able to use the original cylinder bolts or did you have to go longer for the 660 to bolt up with plenty of threads

    • @richardflagg3084
      @richardflagg3084  Před 4 měsíci

      You'll have to slot the holes in the 660 cylinder. The bolt pattern and size is different on the 064 case. 064 uses M5x08 fasteners. The length will depend on the cylinder used. Some had a taller base and used longer screws.

    Hi Richard is that schaeffer 9000 or 7000 on the table & what ratio of schaeffer are you running in that saw ? that saw runs very good &sounds good very good JOB !!!! just keep on rocking it out !!!!

    • @richardflagg3084
      @richardflagg3084  Před 2 lety

      I run the 7000 at 40:1. I know it's made for boats, but it does an excellent job in saws as well.

    What are the signs of an impulse going out? I have a ms 290 that just seems like it gutless halfway through a cut. Just put a new fuel Line and carb on it yesterday. Wants to slightly hesitate off the line. New carb can’t been adjusted much.

    • @richardflagg3084
      @richardflagg3084  Před 2 lety

      Silly question, are the carb and fuel line made by Stihl? The aftermarket fuel lines are notorious for folding at a bend and the carburetors are hit or miss to say the least. The hole in the center of the fuel line is usually offset and will constrict flow if that makes sense?

    • @timkelley6616
      @timkelley6616 Před 2 lety +1

      I put an Oem line and carb on. Someone on CZcams was saying that the cheap one’s kink.

    • @richardflagg3084
      @richardflagg3084  Před 2 lety

      @@timkelley6616 Your saw should run well within those limiters in most all areas of the US. I'd say a pressure and vacuum test would be in order. It's possible there's an air leak at the cylinder base, crank seal or the impulse hose (in that order).
