    This is a nice update for Targs. They are one of my two main factions, and one that I've always done well with even while they have been considered at their worst. I think people make critical errors when playing Targs, and that leads to them performing below what they should. They are an aggressive faction, but they need to be *selectively* aggressive. What they really need to lean into is their movement game, which they excel at, to control the battlefield. Trade VP control for field control early on, and then strike decisively once conditions are properly set. That's the key to success. Charging headlong because you are an "aggressive faction" is the way to losing :)

      Good summary of the Targ playstyle. They're aggressive, but very vulnerable to protracted engagements, ranged attacks, and positioning/movement mistakes.

    I put jokin and the widower in one unit with mirris ncu effect. It's awesome to hit back two times after you got hit. Especially with pikemen. Set for charge with precision and sundering, then shieldwall and then double hit with precision and sundering again. The opponent can't charge the pikemen without losing the attacker

    Great episode guys. As a Targ main, I’ve been looking forward to this episode. Regarding Hrakkars, I’ve noticed that Mickey Masarath has been running a list with 2 in, with some success. I think we all need to work out how they best operate now, even though on paper they look like they were nerfed into the ground.

      Yeah, they are a new unit with these big stats changes. For their 4 points, they will do their job after scoring 2 victory points, forcing an opponent to move away from more valuable targets or even just tangling an important enemy unit up for a round. You are absolutely right, I think. Using them for more than a distraction, a cheap activation or an objective holder will require more practice.

      Dropping one point and a whole bunch of stats has really changed the calculus on these guys. I’ve not had enough experience with them yet in their new form to offer much of an educated opinion. My assumption is that they’re going to be good for taking unguarded objectives and threatening weak/wounded units. If they score a couple of points or finish off a wounded unit, they’ve probably earned their point cost.

    Has the 3+ hit for bloodriders been confirmed? War council says 4+ while the update sheets say 3+

    • @imperialminis857
      @imperialminis857  Před 2 měsíci +2

      I’m not sure if it’s been officially corrected, but Veterans are a 3+ to hit, so there’s no way the Bloodriders would be worse in melee than Veterans. So it’s safe to assume that’s a War Council mistake. It’s not the first time War Council has bad inconsistent unit stats. Perhaps the War Council development team sometimes uses outdated or beta patch versions of cards in their development and don’t update to the final version.

    Cohollo 2 Point, but you cant get the Full effort of him. Just Max. 2 from Battle scars ^^

    • @imperialminis857
      @imperialminis857  Před 2 měsíci

      Yeah, Cohollo doesn't quite feel as valuable as the infantry Battle Scar attachments, points-wise. Immunity to Weakened is great though.

    Make all these replace zone NCU-s to use order tokens. 2 or 3 order and thats it. Like Pycelle, Illyiro, etc.Targ didnt need to get so much token generation. Can burn the enemy tactic deck, or even look the tactic hand, the most hard hitter units cannot be weakened, so completely removing the random factor from this game. And ignores the tactic board with the replace effects. Annoying/boring to play against😑
