I've left a link in the description mate for the levers to 👍
Thanks m8 for the shout out. Really informative video.
Cheers asking me to do them mate a lot of people have asked how I've done them so I thought it might be a good idea for a video. have they turned up for you yet?
The E Bike Nut no post today, nor yesterday. Possible only one day a week delivery? No hurry brakes ain’t here. Yeah, you really got everyone with those brakes levers and the adapter. Been on my list since bicycle brakes interfere with the switches on my bike and I wanted motorcycle levers as this solves the problem particular for next build. When you proved was possible I bought them from you, credit where it’s due.
I was wating for this video
Cool mate I'd it help you out?
Will, amazing coincidence, this is exactly why I just came over, however, this being info I also need, what I was wondering, is how, your attaching your calipers to your frame etc. Caliper type etc
All mountain bike callapers fit on the same mounts mate it doesn't matter what type they are My callapers are hope tech 4 pot. When asking how did I fit them I had to cut off the bracket on the swing arm and moved it over there wasn't enough room for the callaper to fit without rubbing the hub. I will be covering it in next week's video. I'm pleased you found the video useful.. If you can suggest any future video topics you'd like me to cover. Please leave a comment 👍
@@theebikenut4679 I was just wondering were you using a pit bike caliper or similar also. OK. Looking at some four pot Shimanos now myself.
Ah right no mate they are mountain bike callapers. If you can't get multi pot mountian bike callapers I would suggest just buy bigger discs if you don't already have them of course. 205mm for the front 180 on the rear. This will increase your braking power. It's worth looking at brake pad types they also make a huge difference.
Whats the brake feel like with the bigger levers?
Tight mate it feels like a motor cycle brake not so much like a mountain bike if you know what I mean.
Do you still do the kits, the link doesn't work now.
Yes. Send me a message @theebikenut@gmail.com ill get back to you asap.
Do you still do these? and will they work for all hydraulic bike brakes or just the Hope one. Cheers
I can make you some and send then to you bud... all you need to check is the pipe fitting to the lever is 6mm some are 8mm though so just becarful send me a message @ theebikenut@gmail.com if your after some 👍
@@theebikenut4679 yeah looks like mine are 8mm
You will have to make them your self mate, motor cycle Brake levers are 10 mm so if i drill them out to 8 there's a good chance the will split while drilling them they can also leak... its not in possible to do i have done it but I cant garentee they will work.
@@theebikenut4679 Okay cheers.
