This is the first time I've watched this episode. I'm the Guy that Miguel is speaking with here. The reference to the "White Hunter" he's addressing the fact that I'm not native American as we were discussing Chief Tuscaloosa and the first nations people in the Canadian wilderness. Just saying.Thank you the scenery and everything else is great and I will apologize for the audio and I will also say I wish I could have spoken clearer after listening to this. I'm not going to apologize for the discussion between Miguel and I because I tend to be taken back to the weekend this happened. I was getting over the flu but over everything else hearing about the encounter you had Miguel makes any mistakes with my accent and the rest of my interview worth it. Thank you for sharing your story Derin. I’m 67 and just south of Bankhead National Forest but when I was a little girl my grandfather owned a 133 acre farm in west central Alabama. We went every weekend to their farm for my father to help my grandfather who raised sugar cane. My grandfather wasn’t a big fan of mine because I was the only girl other than my sister amongst 8 grandsons. My sister was a girly girl that stayed with the women but I was a tomboy and followed my fathers every step. My younger brother 2 years younger than me. One day we were sitting on the porch, my grandfather in his rocking chair and I was sitting in the floor beside him. He told me to never go out near the woods alone. He told me a story that one night he could hear a commotion outside on his porch so he got up to see what it was. He said there in his rocking chair sat a booger bear. That’s what they called a Bigfoot back then but he said it was rocking back and forth just like he did. He said it rocked a few times and then stood up. He said it was so tall that it couldn’t stand up straight. All the ceilings in their house was 7 feet. My father stood 6’2” so it was taller than 7 feet. He said it just walked down the porch steps and off into the woods toward the apple orchard. He said it must have watched him rocking every day after he finished working on his farm. My grandparents didn’t have tv or radio and didn’t have running water or indoor bathroom until 1972. Anyway that’s what he was warning me about. He was afraid they would snatch me up. Bankhead is beautiful and huge so I can see why they would make it their home.

@@readycool9600 wow that's one of the most honest things I have ever seen on any comments that were on any other CZcams videos or on social media for that matter. You have to know that you should write some of the things you and your family have history of being around or something like that and I bet you there's a lot more than that but it will be gone like yesterday if you don't share it with the people who know. MK Davis has a video on his channel. The video of two Sasquatch drowning a deer 🦌in the woods in the back side of Bankhead and the deer survived the attack because they were distracted by the man who's filming it with a cell phone walking down his driveway.

I live 4 miles from bankhead. I plan on going hunting there, through Sipsey trails a couple of times.

Smoking a cigarette Sasquatch smelled you a mile away and knew you were human. I had one snap a limb right as i faked falling asleep while camping.
He was testing the situation. For you and me. They like to mess with us.
I was in little river forest. North Alabama myself. This was 1984.
There's so many encounters from that area.
Yesterday I heard my first whoop it was very low pitched and it vibrated right through my chest just like everyone says oh and I live in the southwest of Missouri I have been hearing it for a year now you know a different sounds is what made me start to believe in it this time last year went through a rock at me and hit me it was just a pebble 200 ft from me

I’m always amazed at how all these Bigfoot witnesses are able to talk for so long and provide so much detail.
I personally think it snapped that branch for 2 reasons.
Yes, i think it smelled the blood and followed him bc he in fact did watch him dress that doe and was pissed.
2nd reason is the sasquatch snapped the limb to intentionally startle him and give a big middle finger to him and then ran off when seeing dude still had his rifle.

Thx, Miguel. And thx, Deren for sharing this life changing event. No one has the right to question you about anything. And as far as taking a picture, or getting some evidence, seriously! some folks say the dumbest things. They've prob never seen anything scarier than a spider.
And for those would would call BS on any of these, and all, incredible encounters, I would say this. Anyone with knowledge of the human body understands that the physiological responses to emotions and stressors can't be faked. You can hear it in the experiencers voice.

Loved Bankhead camped and hiked there a gazillion times
My family hunted up there when I was just a little kid and My first memory of being alive was crawling out of the camper shell and going to sit on my mother's lap around the fire. I remember having a diaper on

There are also red wolves and mountain lions in the Bankhead national forest. And also a few black bears although not very many. These things I know because I live in the area. We also have dogman in the area as well.

It seems that in this case, the bigfoot is tracking the hunter, not against him but to recover the guts after departure.
Hence, undoubtedly, his attitude near the waterfalls, a scenario that he had not anticipated...

I live near the Alabama/Tennessee State line and part of my family are from just below the State line. There was an encounter reported from the 70s 80s. The woods there gave me the feeling of being watched. I pray for that family that lost a loved one murdered down there near the Bankhead. I pray they can remain anonymous.

Hello, from High Ridge, Missouri.
I saw something in Talladega National Forest. My husband and I ride atv's up on Kentuck Trails. It was around 4pm when we rounded a corner and saw a tall, thin creature covered in light brown fur. It didn't look like a classic Sasquatch. It looked too tall and thin with a small head relative to the body. It was around 87 degrees that day. Very hot. We were very far out in the middle of nowhere, so I don't think anyone was out there. It wasn't a gilly suit.
Now we keep our eyes peeled. Blew our minds 😳

Sorry for the multiple comments but I'm going to tell you all something that I forgot about. I got lost in bankhead forest one winter night and there was 4 rescue squads and they finally got me out of the woods at
8 am the next day 🙂 well I wonder how many times I had to have stumbled around these things because I walked 7 miles away from my truck. This was on 2011 . That makes me feel like a near miss if they were around me that night .

In 2015 I heard loud talking from 2 individualls that was extremely loud in the sipsey in Bankhead Forest..I heard it go on for 15 minutes while I hunted. It was coming from a thicket 30yds away from me. Sounded like Asian cavemen arguing.

I'm sorry, but so far this guy has taken 20 minutes to tell a five minute story. I'm from the south and unfortunately, there are too many people just like him. I'm having a hard time listening to him, because most of what he is saying is irrelevant to the story. I have very little patience for a run on talker.
