    I got glad corms from the dollar store, and planted them here in Michigan the end of June. They had a slow start because I didn't do anything but throw them in the pot and cover with about 2" of dirt... but they're coming up now and they're lovely! I'm going to get more and some deeper pots and line my fence with them. Wish me luck!

      I’m in Michigan and got mine at dollar store too. I could not believe how quickly they grew. I really didn’t do anything fancy at all with them either except put in pot with soil bc I wasn’t expecting much. I think 3 bulbs for $1. I got a few other varieties and so far all are really good. I went back for more but not as many options. The secret must be out! ;)

      Hi! I have to dig out the bulbs , separate from stems then store inside the house in a cool dry place. Leaving them in pot outside will kill the corms because of freezing temperature.

    I ran straight out to buy gladiolus combs. After 3 weeks, there’s not a single bit of green, just stinky foot-scented water. I keep changing the water, but absolutely nothing is happening. I’m gonna keep changing my water. Maybe they’re just a slow batch? I couldn’t get this to work for me *sad*

    what kind of dirt did you use?

  • @wolfherzen5423
    @wolfherzen5423 Před 2 lety +1

    There is technically a easier way, get a bulb made Vase. 1st add water to the neck of the vase then place your bulb on top. The water should barely touch the bulb. Leave it in a sunny window and you can grow any bulbs no matter what time of year. Also if there too munch water you could drown your bulb. That’s way a bulb vase is the best way and you never need to move the bulbs to one container to the next.
