This looks like it's going to help me just to my lateral movement because my hips hurt when I move met laterally and I don't even ski

You have good mobility especially with jorts on

Excellent. Have to see if my 78 year-old (double knee replacement) knees can do these!

my 60 year old knees did OK at this, I think if I keep this consistent I have a chance to ski 20 more years! You are my hero Pat!

Would you always do the movement slowly? (as you focused on) or once the muscle patter was down do it quickly like you would do when skiing. What is the objective?

Good excercise for flexibility and balance, helps to stretch those lateral hip muscles. One problem, when leaning left, you are turning left, so the weighted ski should be the right.

What if the drill is made with something on each side where you can sustain and transfer the weight to the outside leg, just in order to have a much realistic feeling since as it is now, the inside leg is supporting all the weight

How many reps per each leg and how many times a week?

Hi, I'm learning to ski. Shouldn't your weight be on your outside ski? It's seems like doing this (03:37) all your weight is on your inside ski, the one on the box.

Good question. You can’t easily simulate centripetal force. So yea the weight is on the inside leg but the posture and position very similar to skiing. So all you need to do is add turning forces from a carving ski and your weight will start moving the the outside foot
