I have to say 2007 me would have never thought that there would be an openly gay character and a gay couple. There were "hints or jokes" during some seasons, but Im glad it was this was stablished the way it was. Also, they better not give the Gwent treatment to Raji and Bowie. Hopefully they bring back the original opening and Bowie's win version soon.

Good video! I think the Chase/Emma storyline was brilliant. Truly realistic not gonna lie, I know way too many ladies who easily go back to men who treat them like shit. Millie started off decent and went wayyyyyy downhill and unfortunately dragged Priya with her. Also I can’t help but think Priya’s storyline would have actually been better…. If she came in 3rd. Then she could have accepted her life is her own and her parents can’t control her future- or something along those lines.
Except that idea doesn't work because Priya is coming back into the next season. Her ignoring the parents that she still loves would get undermined by her return. Priya as an individual character has the personality of a "feel good finalist" while Bowie is the spicier one. She works best as a finalist.
Thoughts about Lauren next season. Right before getting voted off she referred to Priya as a friend. Since the cast will get to see the show between seasons Lauren knows that Priya worked against voting her off. I think that would be a very fun alliance - much more amusing than Millie.
i really liked the addition of chef telling people why they could be voted off lol it's such a funny addition, i don't mind that chef isn't a one note character anymore and he seems to have some sense to balance chris out. also a big shoutout to terry McGurrin for being brave enough to do chris and i will say once i got used to it i was into the chris McLean that sounds more like Don/jonesey frrom 6teen. I also feel like yeah it's a different voice but he picked up how chris talked pretty well.
I think she started off as the modern version of Bridgette, but that was just the persona that she wanted people to perceive her as. When she started showing her true colors, she didn’t resemble Bridgette to me anymore. She’s not chill or down to earth, the only trait they really share is their honesty.
I think Next Season- Caleb will Orchestrate Raj's and Bowie's Elimination to get back at Bowie Damien and Priya become Couple, and both make it very far Chase will be ousted first, for being Selfish all episode People will keep an Eye on Julia and MK, And Julia redeems herself Since Nichelle is a Movie Star, she becomes a big threat in this Action-Style Season. Wayne gets Character Development on his own, to only be an Early Merge Boot for being on his own. 16th: Chase - For Being Selfish and abusing Emma 15th: Ripper - For being annoying to Priya, Millie and Damien 14th: Emma - She cost the Challenge, and she isn't much without Chase. 13th/12th: Raj and Bowie - Caleb Orchestrates their Boots to get Revenge on Bowie 11th: Axel - Same reason as Izzy's Second boot in Action: Big threat, and Overdid it on the challenge 10th: Millie - Caleb and Nichelle thought it'd be a good idea to break up the Priya-Damien-Millie Alliance MERGE 9th: Wayne - Had no Allies left, easy pick 8th: Scary Girl - Priya and Damieb wanted her gone for scaring Damien. when i was watching the season i was 100% sure that at some point Bowie was going to get Millie eliminated before the finale. I wish that Julia went to the finale and not Millie. Maybe to have a resolution to the friendship, Millie could have been Priya's partner for the first part of the challenge idk. And then have the same final 2 and the glorious Julia boot before the end ig. Overall i loved this season tbh
imo it's the same logic they used for why Heather didn't make the finals in TDI: they didn't want to have her actually win it. considering half the countries the show is aired in feature the canonical loser actually winning, Heather would have needed to win and the creatives didn't want that. so instead, heather gets auto-eliminated and Gwen and Owen win, which I consider a massive mistake but I understand why it happened. they could have just had a three person finale and had julie go out in third place, thus removing her from A Winner and B Winner status, but I guess the karmic justice ending... works? idk it was the worst twist elimination i've ever seen tbh. we all knew bowie would never help her because she was actually good.

The tradition episodes like the fart one and the eating challenge acomplished their purpose, the main problem I see with this season however is that some of the character outright feel like filler, wich is to balme to a bigger problem plaggin the franchise since over ten years ago I believed, and that is reducing the number of episodes per season, imagin a full 24-26 episode season for this cast, that woul've been the most glorious comeback. Also, the fact that apparently every episode has a different writer, it takes away some consistency but I they made the best of it.
I liked this new season of Total Drama more than the recent "New Era" seasons of Survivor. This was more like classic Survivor than the actual Survivor.
At first glance, and of course after watching for the very first time, I wholeheartedly thought the overall cast, writing, and voice acting was a dumpsterfire. Fast forward to now, I've watched the Reboot for the second time and I can say overall that it's pretty average at best.. But it's a start. To point out the negatives, the main thing that threw me off personally was the music throughout the episodes. I'm not even sure if FreshTV lost their rights to the music they've produced from previous years. From the iconic theme song to the elimination ost. Alot of what I'm hearing now is just not good at all. Secondly, Chris's VA is absolutely garbage. You'd think for someone to voice the face of TD he would sound a lot like Christian.. if not at least similar. He doesn't remotely sound like the Chris we've known to grow up with. Heck, back in 2020 Jacuto did an amazing job voicing Chris in TDR and I believe he still does commissions to voice him to this day. Even if they had to cut Potenza at the last second, they still could have at least tried to find someone who sounds somewhat similar to Chris. Which brings me to my next point. Thirdly, I firmly believe the writers and producers purposely made a 13 episode season for the 50th time because it might've been retaliation to the flack they've been getting for forcing Blu Productions to cancel TDR. Besides the tangent though, the dialogue and character developments that I witnessed shows some potential for future seasons. It's of course fair to cater to both new and old audiences. People such as myself would want to see the older casts make a return and the characters that got booted early or didn't get much development can shine in these seasons. It'll satisfy the majority and gain it's popularity back!
I would argue that Priya and Millie were never enemies. That would be to say that both of them hated each other. Millie respected Priya from the start (stating that Priya had a good ambition and it was her parents who were nuts), and at this point, Priya was furious with her while Millie would have given anything to have her friend back.
Idk I don’t like scary girl she’s way too cartoony in contrast to the rest of the cast. Glad she left when she did because I would not have been able to take her going any longer
i think total drama waited so long to create another season because over time, new teen stereotypes are made naturally in society. total drama was running out of stereotypes so waiting for more to come instead of making random ones was smart 🤷♀
I kinda want Damien and Axel too!! Another brain vs. brawn! Damien for his progressing experience and Axel cause she's such a good character for development! I would love to see how it pulls off!
Im a traditionalist through and through and would probably be called homophobic by modern standards----- but Bowie is fantastic. Clever, devious, both empathetic and manipulative. His villain status is a bit up in the air but still lesser of two evils with Julia. Very strong contestant rivalling the greats and I dont see how people could really dislike him even if they didnt vibe with the romance sparks
I think it’d be interesting to see Wayne and Raj start out in different teams, come together at the merge, and both be finalists. We’ve never truly had a friendship finale
I actually like this season more than TDRI. I’d rate the versions as: 1. TDI 2. RR 3. TDI 2023 4. TDRI 5. TDPI This season felt very fresh and it definitely found its footing after the fifth episode. The characters were all interesting and likable (with a few bad characters but that’s TDI for you). It was very refreshing, and I also love Chris’s new voice actor!

Its TD. They do fumble the bag on relationships quite consistently after establishing them. Expect a break up by the end of season 2.

Watching this and Survivor Au just made this a great start of the Year for Big Brother, Amazing Race, Survivor etc shows.
