"Why bother building a centre of learning when instead you can build a money siphoning student trap?"
This hits a little too close to home 🤣
E
Very very close
He knows what he did. Spiff ain't no fool, unlike the majority of his students
Shit cuts deep
Sounds about right. Glad I never took a loan and just quit after a year. I learned little to nothing.
The last thing RTgame said just killed me: “Spiff, no, not again.”
Spiff no, not again!
10 months ago, I couldn’t find your comment at all, was it buried?
That line was top comedy
@@Brokda_Rok The despair in his voice was perfect
Aaaah there you are!
I think the only reason Spiffing Brit gets sponsored by companies is because he is the best game tester of all time. He always breaks the game in one way or another! The fact that he makes great and entertaining videos which leads to more sales is just an added bonus :)

Pay for an influencer and receive a QA tester instead

@@thespiffingbrit It really is brilliant business strategy! In all seriousness: Love your work, keep it up! Always great so see a new Spiffing Brit video release :)
No it is the fact that he says if you don't sponsor me I'll exploit your company and make you go bankrupt
You know Spiff has made a sound file of RT saying 'Oh no Spiff, not again' and made it his default sound for his phone.
That seems about right.

"Spiff no, not again!"
I like how RT's reaction implies that he witnesses spiff doing this on a regular basis.
XD I love it. I do similar gamebreaking. XD
If you go on RT stream archive you get his full reaction.
@Doozy518 Haven't we all?
Watch Spiff animated, the ending says it all...
It's just hilarious that the only thing Spiff can't do is to let his finances be ruined and just changed the challenge in his own head to make truly glorious amounts of money. The queen will be proud.
But.... can you make so much money that even that overflows into the most crippling debt ever?
@@sinteleon I wouldn't see why not, they clearly used a signed integer for it.
Even if spiff tries not to, his British nature forces him to exploit everything around him for personal profit. He is a beautiful monster.

You're confusing Germans for Brits.
A certain space laser disagrees
Why Spiff hasnt done a crusader kings 1000 stat man take on the cod wars is beyond me.

honestly, spiff doesn't even exploit this game, he's just running an actual college.

Absolutely, need that as a clip!
That shpuld be a new sub notification.
I love that challenge 4 was the anti-Spiff challenge, and somehow Spiff first did it, then completely went back to Spiffing up money
Even when he tries to lose money, spiff always manages to earn copious ammounts of it. Truly the queen has chosen her champion well.
Imagine being so british, you simultaneously fall and succeed at a given task of "spend everything"

Ahh, failing upward. How trendy.
He spent so much, he made a profit.
"Spiff no not again" you really can hear the pain in his voice
"he's done an integer overflow I think. Spiff, no, not again."
I like to think this is what game devs say when Spiff puts out a video on their game
"Spiff, what is best in life?"
"To exploit your games, see them perfectly balanced, and hear the lamentation of your friends!"
Of course when Spiff gets paid he surely won't break this entire game!

Spiff was so consumed by his British exploitative nature that he failed to realize he created the greatest American university of all time
Lmfao
I think they call them "resorts"...
I scrolled through these comments to see if anyone mentioned the fact that he basically made an American university. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought this.
Spiff, no, not again ...
The cry of every game developer hearing that Spiff has a hold of their game.
"Quick, let's sponsor him and get some publicity out of it while we get the codemonkeys to fix whatever the heck he's broken this time!"

Wym, free QA testing, bruh

I just love that "Spiff no, not again...!" of pure defeat that RT Game wound up giving once he saw the final build. That just made me grin ear to ear, keep sipping that tea you wonderful British man, clearly it gives amazing powers in breaking games that few others can comprehend given RT didnt expect some total breaking like that
At the end RT sounds like a parent that got a call from school again, theire not mad nor disapointed, just baffeled that their kid manage to do these things time and time again

I would love too see this be a series, spiff breaking other streamers saves, absolutely majestic lol
Anyone who plays against spiff must be incredibly distracted by knowing the hideous exploits he will unleash, even the AI goes into spasms.
...Or spasms
Challenge spiff to spend all his money and he’ll still find a way to perfectly balance a profit lol.
The ironic thing is with that much income, he could also technically sustain SPENDING over a billion a month. Which would make him the highest spender if not the fastest at bankruptcy. ;D

Everyone talking about the money siphoning student trap university meanwhile I’m over here wondering where government intervention is in the game

P.S.: ok, maybe South Korea is one of the lone exceptions as they have quite a unique quirk of viewing teachers as human beings and education quality as important to survival of the nation... Weirdos, am I right?;)
Kinda like the US except they've started grabbing random people off the street to teach rather than pay fair wages, or give schools a decent budget
I think the best part is RT going "Spiff, no! Not again!" When he realizes it's integer overflow.
À university teaching nothing, conforting students into their delusions. Most fail totally but somehow, without learning anything, a part of them passes and get real world responsabilities.

I’m just wondering how the hell they managed to have such a bug considering the game uses unity, and C# actually guards against integer overflows unless you specifically tell it not to. Then again it is spiff.
Can’t let that challenge be too easy now can they?
By default C# can only guard against integer overflow in constant expressions, to make it also check expressions involving runtime expressions you need to add the /checked flag or use the checked() macro to specify an expression should have its result, well, checked.
Because checking integer overflows at runtime most likely requires emitting a branch on of=1*, this is overhead that could affect a game's performance and therefore would probably be disabled.
* Alternatively it would require trapping on the overflow interrupt and then redirecting that to a standard C# exception handler, which would most likely be the case if you set the /checked flag.
Campus: Has all the rooms
Doc Spiff: Where we're going, we don't need _rooms!_
One could say that the bone zone is a perfectly balanced money making method with no exploits whatsoever
Tbf, the "stack overflow" here is basically how it works IRL; if your debt's big enough, you going bankrupt will have such a big impact on the economy the government will panic and give you a bailout.
If you accumulate enough debt, it becomes irrelevant, and loops back on itself.
The economy is so scuffed it would be funny if we weren't in it.
Also challange 4 was spending money, i mean i bet no one else spend 13billion other than spiff because to spend so much money you have to make i tfirst
What makes it even better is how the US national debt (and the debt of a lot of other countries) is also so extreme that most other countries just ignore it
Walking into a room full of 5000 duplicates of the same poster creates such a quantifiable amount of happiness that it cures my depression
Omg I'm crying! RT's reaction at tyre ends is so good! Never change Spiff
RT's reaction was hilarious
Again I ask, where can we see the others' universities? I want to see them all struggling to comprehend your genius. Those two little clips just weren't enough.
We can't see them because of how badly they broke trying to comprehend the "perfectly balanced" universities Spiff sends their way, as evidenced by RT's despairing, "Spiff, no, not again," near the end.
RT has a streaming archive channel, Kevin has been uploading some of the aftermath, and I’m not sure about Anna
I don’t think I have laughed at anything as hard ever of spiffs videos as hard as “the end of September has drawn upon us” I about cried. Honestly
"Students will continue to pay as long as they're happy, regardless of the amount of education they receive." That's just exactly true to life. How many worthless degree programs are out there just because students like them and sign up for them, only to later discover that they have no value?

"Money siphoning student trap" It's sad how accurate that is for most places of higher education.

I love how the overflow Skyrim exploit is a thing in a lot of games
You should look at the campus you started with after the other four played with it, just to get your opinion on how they worked with what you started with.
The anguished "Spiff no not again!" almost killed me XD
As a medic phD I can confirm Spiff has given the most accurate definition of University
RTGame: Spiff, no!
Spiff: yes, very yes!
You've managed to go from running a school to being a landlord
I like how Spiff's college business model is basically the same as colleges in the USA: "Doesn't matter if you actually learn anything, just give us money."
usa has the statistically best universities in the world 👍👍👍
The true British way of stealing artifacts from a bygone era😂
Game challenge: "Lose all of your money!"
Spiff: >Makes billions of dollars instead.
*Task failed successfully.*
I love Dan's "no, not again" while looking at the chaos spiff caused with his bugs.
"You have to spend all your money as fast as possible."
Spends so much money he has more money than anyone else from spending so much.
I love how spiff turns a money spending challenge into a money making challenge, but still wins the orginal challenge because all the graphs in the game say he lost money. Laughed alot on this one, great job.
"spiff no, not again"
that's the sound of success
I see, you took apart a reasonably working university to turn it into We Happy Few.
Well, that negative salary exploit is certainly getting patched.
Like Spiff said it would effectively not be possible, because the only way would be for them to force a 'ceiling' in term of salary, but considering you are meant to be able to give any salary you want to your staff they can't really do it, I mean maybe they could put a hard cap just before that ceiling but what is the point anyway, if players want to cheat that badly its their gameplay, its not like this is meant to be a multiplayer competitive game, its a single player game.
@@lydiahood7725: it'd be a pretty easy fix. As mentioned, they could add a hard cap. Alternatively, if the point really is to be able to pay "any" salary, they could make it an unsigned value. Then not only could the salary be made even higher, but when a rollover occurs it would only go back around to zero rather than a negative number.
Hey Spiff did you know they used to call RT the "Drift King" back in college?
Between Spiff and Josh, I'm never at a loss for glorious game breaking content. If only Spiff had his own Grace...

The "Spiff no. Not again." Was icing on the cake. Fantastic
I saw all those Team OX rugs Spiff was putting down! It's cool Sega added them into the game!
Wait, you double integer overflowed the game... THIS IS GLORIOUS
Spiff recreating the American education system in a video game.
Flawless victory.
For a more realistic school, keep the first one as you ended it, a giant party where no one learns, but add back in several hundred teachers, all with tenure, pay them extravagant salaries and take billions from the government on top of massive quantities of student loans that never get paid back yet somehow still earn the school money. On a more serious note, it's amazing how developers don't check their inputs. Are those schools with game design courses churning out non-programmers to make games? Bounds checking is so easy, and you only have to do it once, when you read the input, and it's super fast.
You are forgetting all the TA's teaching the actual classes and getting paid nothing
