I just watched this again and as many times as I've seen that I still ended up out loud laughing again. Gilbert is perfection and the green host has a very infectious laugh. I'm still missing Gilbert after his untimely death. I'm sure I will miss him every time I think of him and even when I don't think of him on days I need humor and have to find it elsewhere. I mentioned Gilbert in my local grocery store just an hour ago to a cashier lady about fifty years old. She'd never heard of him and of course that means she has no pursuit of curiosity, much less comic history, so she won't look Gilbert up. There are probably things she not aware of in her own family history or job, etc. Ignorance is bliss.
Lady's on shows like this always seem so fake and smug. They pretend to be interested but you can tell they really aren't. They're just acting. All these types of shows are the same. There is no way these lady's are genuine. Gilbert Gottfreid is such a wasted talent. SNL really could have been great for him but they didn't realize what they had. Really sucks. Gilberts aperances on Stern throughout the years are the best because he was able to really be himself. Show wise I mean. He should be a bigger deal than what he is.
Scott Morrison I absolutely agree with you. They seem interested and you really can’t fake a hearty laugh like that. But I agree with Jay that typically these female hosts are fake, but not in this instance.
Major respect to that lady, she was a great sport. Gilbert really shines on talk shows like this.
