Yesterday before the live on your other channel I slipped on a step going downstairs off our back porch and fell down 8 steps. I lay there for a moment worried about my not so great left rotator cuff that had been bothering me but weirdly, after the dust settled, my shoulder was much improved! I cannot believe that a vicious tumble would correct an injury! I am such a lucky goose! Honk! Honk! Love you all!
Florida is my happy place. I’ve been to DisneyWorld over 100 times and Disney Land once. I was a flight attendant for 25 years and have been all over but when I finally got to Orlando after covid I cried. I love America but Florida is my spiritual home. I’ve met so many lovely people in Florida they ‘get me’. I went to North Carolina last year for a month and the people there absolutely lovely. We like to travel to out of the way places and we got ‘trapped’ in Panera Bread as the lovely people who worked there thought we were actors from Downtown Abbey and wouldn’t believe we weren’t. They were so sweet and excited and gave us hugs and free muffins 🥰
To put the distances in America into perspective - you can fit the island of Ireland, 300 miles (486 km), between the cities of Phoenix, AZ and San Diego, CA, 354 miles (570 km). The distance between London and Edinburgh is slightly longer at 378.33 miles (608.87 km).
Jen, I think someone asked you in this chat if you'd been to the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh. I have!! It was January 2005. If I remember correctly it's at one end of the Royal Mile. Edinburgh Castle (which I think you mentioned going to) is at one end; Holyroodhouse is at the other (lower) end of the Royal Mile.
My favourite is anywhere in Italy. I'm partial to that country because my parents immigrated from there but England is also a favourite. Why don't you move to Scotland/England and I'll move to Italy and we'll visit each other!? PS. I promise I'm not a stalker!! LOL
