I hate to tell you this but as soon as they claim asylum- they become legal. At least until their claims have been adjudicated and denied. That's why they are doing it.
@sumduma55 Then, our laws need to change. Asylum seekers need to prove they need that status. This was never meant to be a free get into the USA free pass to anyone and everyone. We can not afford to keep doing this.
@@lindaday4734 they are supposed to get a series of hearings to determine the validity of the asylum claims. Last I heard, that process was so backed up that the preliminary determinations were 6 years out and it could be 10 to 15 years before final determination hearings sre available. Technically theysre supposed to remain in US custody but the current administration uses something called parole to release them into the the interior because they have overwhelmed the system.
A safe third country policy could be implemented by policy changes. Just require any asylum seekers that pass through a safe country to remain there and apply for assylum at the US consulate or embassy. That could be accomplished by policy changes without any laws needing to be passed.
@sumduma55 I realize that, but it is stated that most do not show for those hearings and the timing of those heatings take years, so they are here whether or not the claim would be valid. It is a sad, hurtful process for everyone, including those trying & waiting to come here legally.

Electors in the elections, all that. For all legal purposes, CA, Chicago, New York, etc all have a population of 1.

They are working under stollen social security numbers. The businesses know the numbers are stollen but also want the cheap labor, so some go along with it. They pay into the federal government, when paid, however most do not file taxes, so they won’t be caught. However they are lying, cheating, stealing, and harming US citizens whose identities are stollen. Then when they “retire” they cry because they can’t get social security benefits, that they believe they are entitled to. All while the persons identity who was stollen is faced with the consequences their entire life. Once they take over the social security number, they can also get credit cards, loans, etc, further destroying the lives of the US citizen/ victim. The victims rarely if ever get justice.

Undocumented immigrants only pay taxes because they use fake green cards which steal the social security numbers of American citizens or use made up numbers, and the employers who hire them withhold taxes as required by law. The illegals cannot get refunds of those taxes because they cannot file a tax return using a fake social security number. That's the ONLY way illegal immigrants pay taxes. It's normally only social security and medicare taxes because everyone with a fake green card also lies on their W-4 form and claims they have a spouse and 5 children to avoid withholding much income taxes. Believe me. I worked in the landscaping industry for years. This is how it works.

What I see as the major problem with handing out work permits to illegals (aka Democrat voters) is that a work permit is all that some areas require in order for someone to vote.
Sadly some of these funds that fund this is coming from the social security fund!

Let's say NYC has 400,000 illegal immigrants they are 'taking care of', not the 120K or 200K they claim. And let's say we have had only 8 million illegals invade our Country since O'Biden too over (let's not even talk about the probably 4 million got aways), at those numbers NYC only has .05% of the illegals we now have here.
So, lets say we have 30 cities in the US of A that has the same number of illegals as NYC.
That comes to 1.5% of the 8 million illegals now in our Country. That comes to 1,200,000 illegal immigrants in our Sanctuary Cities.
Where are the other 7 million (again, not including the 4 million got aways)?
