- So... I guess my Kerbal Engineers misunderstood when I said to launch a Saturn V to the Moon (Mun)... I didn't really mean I wanted the ENTIRE vehicle!!!!
Hopefully Matt Lowne and "The Blunderbirds" have a solution to help me get the vehicle back! So be sure and check out his video here -

In Soviet Russia, moon goes into Saturn V.
I'm getting some majora's mask vibes
In Soviet Russia, moon goes to *_N1_*
Wait what is that? Wait, oh god oh fu-
*BOOM*
USSR : haha, ksksks come in moon come in..
🤣🤣🤣
That rotating stage separation was beautiful. Soyuz has the Korolev Cross...here we have the Dodd Doughnut?
yup sounds right
Lmao
No its called "The Saturn's Rings"
👌
10/10 for creativity?
''The Wehrner turner''
Imagine this irl but with the Saturn V optimised for vacuum (Maybe a sea dragon upper stage or using the M1 engines instead of the F1 engines). Payload to orbit would be like 700t.
My favorite Kerbal flight was shooting the Mun Arch on my way to Duna. I certainly didn't do it on my first attempt (or even my 20th if we're being honest) but flying through that tiny gap at interplanetary velocity, gaining altitude, and continuing off into space was a pretty proud moment for me, lol.
I wanna see video of that
Not I thought that said first
Matt, Scott Manley and you are my favorite CZcamsrs.
Awesome to see a colab with Matt and you.

@@ScibbieGames Also a great CZcamsr!
@@ScibbieGames Oh man this guy blows my mind every video he makes ! And the visuals are so cinematic too !
Try Bradley whitstance
Only *KSP pros* will get an idea to _send the Rocket, which sent us to the moon, to the mun... _*_AS A WHOLE, MULTIPLE ITSELVES!!_*
...with multiple of itself!
This isnt that hard cuz its like 40-50 meters tall and its not real solar system like im pretty sure a delta rocket can get this thing to the mun with fuel to spare in none rss but if u try to get the real saturn 5 there over 100 meters tall weighs like 6 times more than this thing and you need aprox 16k delta v to get there
Excuse me whya
The world would start lagging...
@@insulting_bjorn2354 yeah but everythings smaller

Why didn’t NASA do that?, I want Space X to show off and leave NASA as when they got a place won’t need NASA at all and leave them behind
"We launch the whole rocket. Thats 65% more rocket, per rocket."
Im so glad im not the only one to get this
Portal 2 Advertisement: "Turrets"
65% more bullet, Per bullet.
ah portal 2
Like the new intro
Me2! :)
cork
Why doesn't NASA just do this to get to mars... SMH ugh 🙄
Government shut down.
Space duck
Obama and Hillary Clinton’s fault.
While watching, thought "Don't let the SLS engineers see this - they'll try to build it for real"!
Goverment : No, I don't have the money.
Goverment : **Has almost infinite amounts of money**
government: we don't have enought money
government: gives the military 10x more money
Only to the Mun? Amateurs.
Lol
Sounds like challenge
Can you make a video about launching a Saturn V from Eve? Cause Eve is a more suitable planet to launch something as powerful as Saturn V
I already did. Check the link I posted earlier under my comment and the follow-up video. One is getting the SaturnV to Eve, the second is launching it from Eve.
Bit of advice, your voice is kind of annoying
NASA: "WRITE THAT DOWN, WRITE THAT DOWN"!!
Charles the french fans are everywhere hehe
NASA is going to use SLS, but I know this was a joke
Stay safe in this pandemic :)
Love. This. Collaboration. You guys are awesome. 🙏
SpaceX should hire you as one of their star cameramen and field reporter, Tim.
This was a great ksp video!
The feat with Matt is just the new lvl for both of us!
Amazing idea!
😍😍
6:00 Staging engineer did not say _"Go for launch"_ for a second. *SLEEPY KERBALS!*
Total cost of expedition: 39 trillion dollars.
_what a steal_
I love watching you play Kerbal- so I don't have to! It's great to watch the boundaries pushed with great narration. Thanks!
i love this channel it always makes me smile especially with videos like this.
When the everyday astronaut and matt Lowne are making a video together, you know it's gonna be great!
One of my favourite videos already.
3:25 That's how innovative *KSP geeks* are!
The rocket equation, it’s a beautiful thing. *music starts*
*_Nice Intro, Tim!_*
When you say Blunderbirds the first things that come to mind is:
"On a lonely planet slowly spinning twice damnation and if they've commited some hundred heaviness and lesser space perhaps what teams stands in the evidence putting their lives in the lines of a doctor yes and his collection of cabinets saving the cabin race once threaded explore another time."
3:16 As the soviet space program, I can confirm that this is how we transported our rockets.
In Soviet Union, the launchpad is built around the rocket
@@manashejmadi
don’t you mean in Texas?
Matt, you and Joe Scott (answer with joe) are my most favorite CZcamsrs when it comes to space related topics. KSP is rocket science, you know...
I like the new intro! Good job.
I remember when as a child, I built an absolutely amazing two stage rocket plane, which could get to th moon, and I never even used the molding parts thing, and the 'glitching' parts into each other... I have no clue how I did it, but I never recreated a better compact plane than that one
What do you mean by “rocket plane”?
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS COLLAB!
An arch on the moon? No, there's a monolith on the moon, everyone should know that. Oh, wait that was a secret.
I'm inspired by this.... not to build a big rocket or anything, but to visit the Arch.
Yesss the too of the best space youtubers doing a colab
nobody:
not a single soul:
tim: *casually sends an entire Saturn V to the moon*
About sliding on slopes: you can right click the wheels, either in VAB or in flight, and turn up the friction control. You need to turn off the "Friction control: auto" button first, then dial it up. 2 usually works pretty well. Super high and you might flip during turns.
Love your music my friend!
love the music dude and love the space vids kepp up the good work.
The introduction to the moondad sounded like the 2 Brothers trailer from Rick and Morty
I love the new intro good job!
Yay! I thought a day where you and Matt Lowne would collab would never come true!
yay
i love matt lowne and especially Saturn V
That's fantastic! I didn't know you did some KSP videos.
That spin release got my like for realsies
"I'm really feelin confident, like I'm wearing new shoes." 😂 Relatable
You’ve been a big inspiration man. And apparently to my crazy fellow console kerbonauts as well because they convinced me to do this as well...except we’re taking it to Laythe with a Dragonfly Rover.
Off to the VAB in a few, wish me luck man 😂
I've come from the future
starship SN8 experienced a nice rapid unscheduled disassembly
dude u doing great im too crazy along the way and in every direction . recently u r doing different title cards it kindah feels good.
Successfully delivers a Saturn 5 to the Mun and then casually mentions we've been listening to an original music. Bravo!
so you were like"MOAR BOOSTERS"
I'm relieved that we are in the good timeline.
This channel is WAY to underrated. Subscribe & share this with fellow space nuts. I can't get enough of this stuff. Keep up the great work my friend!
Why do you need the blunderbirds, you have a perfectly good Saturn V right there.
Idea: Land a saturn v on the mun and then launch the saturn v from the mun to duna
You need about 1200 m/s of fuel from the moon to duna so thats quite easy
E
I love these kerbal videos!!
So (hypothetically) now that it is on the moon, how much farther out can we launch extremely large payloads? In other words, would this provide a significant bump in our solar system exploration capabilities?
David Farina no, because the rocket that launched the Saturn v to the mun could take it even further, because it doesn’t need to land, or capture burn, etc.
@@VIM365 if your goal was to use the mun (or moon in the real world) as a launch platform in a lower gravity environment and use it as landing site (for reusable rockets) it makes a lot of sense. Especially if the goal was to use lunar resources to produce goods for the outer solar system.
David Farina what I’m saying is that there is no point unless you’re building the rocket on the moon out of the moon’s resources.
@@VIM365 agreed.
Before Space X beated NASA, NASA would of done like this to reuse the rocket by flying it home 😜
Nice video again and cool intro
here I am cant even make something go to another planet...
weird flex, but ok!
Me too
Noob!
I can't even get my rocket out of earth!
i cant get my rocket off the launch pad
Looks like one of my very first "heavy lift" rockets that I shot up 100km and only there started my circularization
Well, first time I’ve ever watched a full CZcams ad. A masterclass.com ad featuring Chris Hadfield on space exploration. I know you don’t have control over the ads, but glad to support you in this way.
Love your new intro.. Superb 😎😍
New intro 🔥
Good god it’s like you are driving a skyscraper.
Also: Ksp: moar boosters | Everyday astronaut: MOOOOAAAARRR BOOSTERS!
It seems like Tim is now trying to get rid of every trace of his suit.
I’ve officially decided to separate the art project that is Everyday Astronaut from the educational CZcams videos. I think it was just not approachable for everyone. A lot of people saw a guy in a flight suit and just ignored the content because they couldn’t take me seriously. And I hate the suit 😂🤦♂️
The Earth Magnetics pole are MOVING!
Crazy and wonderful rocket!
This is the most ambitious crossover event in history
Like the new dramatic entrance haha!
Yay. Everyday Kerbal!
Blunderbirds!
Edit: thx for heart! I’m a fan of u and Lowne
I just saw (ft matt lowne) and realized this was a collaboration so I instantly clicked on it

I like the spining saturn V and seconds stage booster is the best
bruh that’s actually really impressive
alright im lovin this collab
Love the new intro

That spin he did at the booster separation should be named after him. TIM'S SPIN.
Wow!
New intro!
This would destroy launch pad so badly...
what.... no comment or such regarding the Delta IV Heavy launch???? It was nice and professional. The guy on video did goof up once though and had caught his error and recouped his speil nicely.
new intro, i like it
Excellente vidéo, j’ose pas imaginer le pc derrière 😉
Thats just......... GENIOUS
Kerbal is awesome!!! Keep it up!!
This is the video that got me into kerbal. I watched it the other day and decided to buy it lol
WHOO HOOO! A collab!
The new intro! 👏👏
Love the music!
A full Saturn V on the mun, imagine the places you could launch from there.
Intro looks good in video
When in doubt, add more boosters and struts.
I love the new intro
Love the intro
5:01 this whole bit felt like inter-dimensional cable
This base saturn v so needs to get uploaded to the steam workshop id love to use this rocket for missions
Next time, sent entire BFR to Mars
NASA:we have a structure that can transmit a rocket
Tim: I HAVE A ROCKET THAT TRANSMITS A STRUCTURE
I love the KSP videos
I hope you gonna be live in about 2 hours! I wanna see Top Secret stuff lol
I liked the commentary on introducing the rocket at the start, kind of the improvised "impromptu" style that Interdimensionable cable is done in (Rick & Morty). Not sure if that is what you were going for, but got a laugh out of it nonetheless.
