Happy Sabbath, Shabbat Shalom gentleman and to whoever sees this who believes in the sanctity of this day set aside for rest, ceasing of work and focusing on who God is.
Heart is intent is so good. David was a man after God's own heart. As in it never means to imply a divine nature to David but his intentions were towards Godliness. As far as Jacobs wrestling with God is that Jacob did not let go til he was blessed! In all my trials and failures I find my Victory in never letting go of my Lord and Saviour and it is the beauty of the Battle, the fear and trembling and understanding that without Him I am not! I can not put into words how grateful I am for Him being right there with me! Also commenting on people thinking Jacob somehow beating God need ponder verse 30 chapter 32 of Genesis; And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved. Praise God!!!!!!
Funny, but one of the first "revelations" I had on the state society is in, is because the "abomination of desolation where it ought not be", is in the "heart"; intent, in-tent, tabernacle with God in your "heart"! Also it's my perception/interpretation, the reason we are off course, is that men's hearts have already failed them; man has failed with their intent!
@@lisazabriskie7916 Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. Joel 2:12, 13
Man is mortal and hell destroys... I.E. Sodom and Gomorrah are examples of eternal fire. Jde 1:7 "Even as Sodom and Gomorrah... are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." What does Sodom and Gomorrah look like now?
@@OmegaOfApostasy I think we are saying the same thing. Scriptures do backup your point "that man's nature is mortal" like Ecclesiastes 9:5. You are right in the spiritual sense. But will the unredeemed sinner have a degree of consciousness in death/hell which would last eternally? I would humbly suggest - "yes". Although the thought is very uncomfortable. Cessation from pain or rest is not congruent with the biblical idea of hell. What is your interpretation of Luke 16:19-31 and Revelation 14:9-11?

Thomas Aquinas 1225 - 1274. There sentries before reformation.
You're right... Thank you.

Hell is eternal. The nature of mans soul is forever. The rich man Lazarus was in torments. Jesus taught about this many times.

Don't rest on your laurels!!!
Anything specific you getting at? As far as my laurels being rested on I have no such laurels of which you speak of which I can even rest upon.
For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. Ecclesiastes 7:20
