As far as MK characters go, Erron is one I kinda sympathize with. My theory is his family was abusive. Although this is just guess, it could explain his hatred and why he whacked his father.
With Rain's line saying they're both bastards, Pa might've slept around and Ma took out her anger on the little Erron.
He's like 150 or something since shang sung stopped his aging most likely he killed his family and became an outlaw and bounty hunter, took shang sung's offer and here he is now

I think netherrealm studios just threw in random ideas of Erron's past without thinking of the full story themselves. To leave it "mysterious" to the fans and let us decide what happened.
Sucks big time. I would have loved to know what happened. I watched lots of true crime and came across some horrific families. I can only imagine what NRS was poking at.
The only thing for sure is that his origin story is retconned fully.
