How does the Plane Designer work in Hearts of Iron IV By Blood Alone?

Before anyone mentions it: There are two modules I didn't mention. Minesweeping and minelaying can be found at the bottom of the Naval tech tree. You can also find plane cannons under AT gun research.

Great explanation on your part, but I feel that not being able to get close air support early game weakens already vulnerable nations even more. One of the best things about hoi4 is that you can build up and do well as even the most shitty nation. I hope they fix this cause many low power nations rely on CAS so much early game

Was there anything for designing Transport Planes, specifically increasing their range? The standard range is simply too short for certain areas of the world due to not being able to decide where airfields are built in a state.
I've been playing base HoI for a while, and I finally decided to try out the DLC subscription. The new features are cool, but one thing is driving me absolutely nuts: I don't like the way the planes are described as "light airframe" and "medium airframe". Same with tanks and ships, although with ships it's a little easier. Is there a way to rename those things?
So, I've been wondering if we can use different sprites for the different planes?
I don't want my Ju-87s to look like Bf-109s, given they use the same airframe.
I honestly don't know. PDX state they updated a bunch of sprites. Unsure if we have any influence over it though.
I can't select any armament. It just doesn't show up for me to click it. What do I do?

Nope, not at all. Sure you have the DLC? I know it might be a dumb question, but you'd be surprised...

Hello. I would like to know your opinion about my idea. First of all i am a big fun of the Hoi4 as the historical accuracy in the planes and tanks. Due to this i would like to see the real designs before i start to modify them. So, when you are open a new frame you should get some basic design which are accurate. For example Basic airframe open the Me109 and Ju-87 -for Germany- and you can produce them straight away. The program give you their module and players could enjoy the original names and designs. It is a bit annoying when you build a medium tank and the program link it with the model of an AA...
In a lot of cases you do get those designs. Afaik there is currently a glitch in the tank designer that just keeps assigning the wrong models. I started assigning them manually because it bothers me too.
@@bigschmokes I have not played too much, but Hungary is a mess... And it is unnecessary. Manually setup could work, but i hope they will find out something, especially players paid for those models when bought the anniversary pack in the last year.

@@bigschmokes I noticed it in the plane designer as well- you choose what model you want and after pressing done it changes it to whatever the game wants

stopped playing the game after the last dlc, it's just too laggy comparing to my previous experience. not sure if its worth coming back at this update.
Have you tried using optimization mods? I personally don't have lag issues but I have a gaming rig. Have some friends on discord using laptops who complain about the same issue. Sad to hear it!

why does that CAS has zero ground attack? is it a bug or what?
No. So there's a new feature where when stats are mission specific, you only see it when you hover over the mission in the designer tab.
Why after deploying the plane it goes on having zero ground atack ? I clicked in the adjuster prior to start building the planes, but nothing happens. Or does the plane have ground atack even if it is not showed ?
why i cant find cas research?
CAS planes aren't a thing anymore - you have to research the bomb slots now to put on light airframes.
