Loved the feet scramble under the desk when the door opens.
A couple mouse traps will fix that problem.
Good to see the place really coming together after months and months of hard work.. Good job Matt! Can't wait to see all the future project coming from this workshop.. :)
Thank you Matt for your video as always. Your Roubo workbench is one of my all-time favorite built on youtube.
Thanks for that perspective! I got a space of 3,55 x 6,55.Your video gave me a lot of inspiration on what to put where. Many thanks!!
loving "shadow matt", hope to see him again soon
Wow, just wow. You are all set to do great projects and videos for years to come. Glad to see my Patreon support being used so well. Hope a lot more people jump in and support you.
Seeing this confirmed why I like your channel. I loved the creativity with yourself haunting your shop.
Nice, spacious (from my perspective) and single one thing I like the most are those huge barn door .. sure those can make a space a bit chilly, but this is great thing to move oversize stuff in and out of the workshop or even temporarily extend the workshop with outer space.
beautiful space, very cozy feel!
That's great use of the available space.
You guys are awesome! Like woodworking Batmand and Robin. Love your videos, thank you!
Love the way you have your shop setup, Thanks for the tour.:)
Wow what a fantastic workshop, l am sooo jealous
The Ghost of Estlea tossing track around the shop. Hilarious
Beautiful space and nice touches with the editing tricks! Cheers!
Great workshop and really well equipped. Makes mine look like a slum.
Lovely to meet you briefly at Makers Central. 🙂 I hope to get some stickers done soon for swapping. Love some of the stuff you've made. Awesome skills 🙂
Fantastic workshop, keep up great videos Matt
Matt, would love to see a mitre saw station build. That big Bosch would be a good challenge. I built mine for his baby brother 🤪
I enjoy ur videos and have become much more interested in working with hand tools. I am redoing my kitchen, replacing all the doors first and have put away the router and doing all the hinges , latches, etc., with a small router plane. Thanks
Huh... An awesome well-thought out workshop without a table saw... I mean That's really cool!
Sure I’m a grown adult. But every time I’ve watched this video I’ve had to make sure it’s during the day. Shadow Matt freaks me the hell out.
Workshop tours are the best, your tour is better than my shop tour video👊🏻
Amazing layouts..Great Informative video.
Great cuts Rob!
Don’t need any foes if you got friends like these cheeky guys, eh? 😂😁
You seem to have a great sense of humor since you left that part in the vid.
Nice workshop Matt! Congratulations!!! 🍾🎈🎊
Hi Matt. You could wrap wire around the flexible dust extraction tube on the Turning station.
A+ job.
Nice use of space. A problem you may run into is with your wood coved pit, my shop is in an old milk parlor which had a pit and I also covered it with wood. My rather large work bench 10ftx38in sat on top and eventual the wood timber started to sag. I eventual filled the pit with old cinder blocks and anything else laying around and then had the cement truck come around and finished filling it with six inches of concrete and then leveled it as best I could since all this was done with the bench in place
What an awesome shop! So so cool. Unicorn pen was a highlight 🦄😂 so great to meet you this weekend! Count me in for a sticker swap!
Very nice beautifully lovely u and yours work shop
And you have some pretty substantial critters there.
Excelente video Jon Snow carpenter 😄
When you said 10 x 5 I thought it was 10ft by 5 ft, until you opened the door of the workshop and
the units turns out to be metres! Ha ha!
Beautiful workshop👌🏽
so cool
Nice shop. I like it
What is the hurry?
Tidy set up chap. Like it.
Warning with Stainless, the heat from working it will harden it. So once you start a cut or drilling a hole, do not stop until complete, because if you do the temperature on the surface of the metal will air quench and harden and be almost impossible to restart the cut. Also, stainless is not stainless, it is stain resistant. Any left over free iron or carbon will create rust. Once you have completed work on it, wash it in citric acid for about 20 minutes to passifate the surface, especially with 300 series austenetic stainless (not magnetic).
I thought you had a burglar flying under the table when you opened the door , it’s my dream to have a workshop that size , roll on my mega lottery win , keep up the great work Matt
cool 👏🏻👏🏻🔝
'Visitors will be shot, survivors will be shot again' : great sign!
You should use the burbinga for the filing cabinet you talked about making
Awesome place Matt! Just the yellow front door needs a bit of an overhaul, and maybe a logo of yours as well ;-).
Great Stickers!
Ha ha, they are still making radios in D&T, I remember making one in 1996 for my GCSE.
2:46 Amazing scene
very smart
Great to meet you at makers central, we sent you an email earlier today. Talk soon man
Nice workshop
Blummin'eck, I can see why you referred to your workshop as "home," it would be so easy to spend hours there just tinkering away!
I love that it even comes with a "workshop gremlin" =p
Gremlins made the track fall.
Well a very large gremlin that we saw in the first scene when the door opened.
I love your workshop, it's great, however, one suggestion to make is don't put metal files on the magnetic bar because then the metal shavings will stick to the file. Well done overall.
5:57 Real high quality from a near extinct UK supplier. Our friends in America do not know about this brand.
I need more power tools... Must get more power tools...
Cheers
You need some Loc-Line.
Comes in all sizes
Hi. OSB accents on the router bit cabinet. Next time, how about book matching them by splitting a piece on the band saw?
“OSB accents.” Glamour from the overly common. Typical Matt and one reason I spend time in his shop. Plus…I have a lot of OSB in need of projects.
Nice workshop Matt! Now get those big yellow doors stripped & painted!! ;)
THIS IS A DREEEEEEEAM SHOOOOOOP!!!
Matt II has managed to trim part of your shadow off when he slammed the door! In Peter Pan, Wendy managed a repair with needle and thread - you might want to try titebond.
Just clamp it well!
Feels like someone’s been watching Twin Peaks
Hey Matt a good live show. Your were more relaxed which is good. I have mentioned a couple of times about your bandsaw. I have the same bandsaw but suffer with drift. If you could it would be great to have a bandsaw guide so to speak. Just how you have it setup. I also have trouble with getting the guide wheels close enough to the blade. Anyway keep up the good work Matt always look forward to your vids.
He talks about and sets up his bandsaw in the beginning part of this video:
czcams.com/video/5w4FsFbpxME/video.html
Oh, but he does say that he will have a future video on how he fully sets it up. That is just the initial set up from out of the box. Sorry about that.
Can you make a display cabinet for all your novelty pens?
Its interesting to see your wood storage area, they seem to be leaning up against the wall, does that mean you turn them around from time to time to prevent bowing?
Can’t wait to see you making planes I definitely want one ☝️ if you were to sell one
HAHAH I died at 2:42 - gremlins!
Where’s your coffee machine, bar fridge and dancing girls, topless waiters! 😁🤔
Upstairs...
'you woo-winned it'
Is that the ade2200 chip extractor? And if it is which is the best filter cartridge for it please?
I was wondering what brand of parallel clamps you use. I really like the Bessy brand but they have become ridiculously expense! Thanks in advance .
On the channel, I want to share how I create various things from wood, metal, construction experience and many other things made with my own hands.
I have no special education, no production experience, there is only a desire and desire to improve skills.
I hope my videos will motivate the viewer
Hook a bungee cord around the track to keep it from falling.
how did matt double cut your shadow? ;) great tour btw and what a fantastic idea using those "scary" moments.
Is it the way that piece of cast iron feels in your hand that feels just right for you?
First comment! Love the workshop
Of course you're a Tim Ferriss fan Matt!
Great shop you got there mate 👍👍 I love it! Especially all the. Eritas tools 🤩 I would like to send you my sticker so you got one from Germany as well 😉 (just need your adress 😁🖐)
With all the cast iron and being in Britain do you use a lot of wax to keep from rusting?
Make a bubinga snare drum. To go with your bass guitar
Is the workshop 10x4 or 10x5? I'm trying to building my own and wrestling with the dimensions. I can't get that wide, but wondering if 10x3 would do. Love the space.
Stone surfaces are remarkably easy to chip, and bloody expensive. That's why machinists always have a plywood cover on them and only ever bear as much stone as is needed for the job at hand.
So in total how much did this cost, great workshop
Nice shop!
Looks like you need to make yourself a proper toolchest. ;)
I guess someone was robing you in time you opened doors!
Got some weed in that toolbox or somethin 😂
make another bass! or guitar or drum kit shells with the bubinga wood!!
No sign of that firemans pole yet Matt ?
forget the tour, i want to know how long it took to clean everything, all the saw dust and that.
Do you use the pit for anything for storage,
Thx Matt , for this tour of jokes on you lollll Was nice to see all of your shop , only one question . Was all of your tools been “given” or you bought them ? If you think that it is a more private situation you could answer me in private . Could you help me out on how to start a youtube chanel and if it could count as a job ? Thx for answering 😉👍🏼
Can’t wait to see what’s next !!!
Jon Snow abdicates the throne and becomes a woodworker
And get rich
Are you still happy with the Bosch plunge saw?
Is the floor of your shop even? If no: Did you bother and if yes, how did you even it?
I have an awesome sticker but need to know where to send it
Making some pens with those blanks Matt?? 😋
what about that attic storage space?
Good to see the Jesus pencil again
Nice shop!! What kind of clamp is that? 4:50
how do you do without a table saw and mortiser
Just missing a welder if your going down a metal working roue 😁
