Bo was the most amazing, creative wrestler I have ever watched at Penn State. He is so entertaining as a pro.
That's what I think some fans don't get about why we're so excited about him. It's not just that he was an awesome wrestler, it's that he did amazing, fun stuff as a wrestler. Honestly, I can't WAIT until he gets tested, so I can see what he comes up with.

@@ppc-professor ehh, I’d say more intentional with his wrestling. Bo seemed to make any position turn into a tilt or turn.
Creative is a good word. Bo is something else on the ground. It’s like he has precognition and knows exactly where the person is planning on going. In his 2nd MMA fight the dude tries to roll out and I swear Bo’s hands were at the spot he rolled to before the dude even knew what he wanted to do.
Wrestling is harder for strikers to learn than striking is for wrestlers to learn. He is good.

I met Bo and his dad at a youth wrestling tourney in Kentucky several years ago. Bo's dad was coaching a team. Just normal guys that love the sport. Have been a fan of Bo for a long time.

As an Ohio State fan, I couldn’t stand him. I don’t use the word hate, it’s not hate. It’s just that he was so freaking good. I respected the hell out of him. Now it’s great. He’s in the UFC and i can root for him.
I watched the video of him challenging Gordon ryan and that was a pretty good match
I disagree. Rules were stacked against Gordon and 99% of what Nickal did was defense. The only thing he really did was the suplex, which Gordon gave him his back for. Once Gordon got him committed to engage he made pretty quick work of him. If he had been allowed to do leg locks the fight would have ended 10 minutes earlier. And I don't even like Gordon Ryan, I am a B-Team fan.
I love Bo Nickel but we gotta see him vs real MMA comp tho.

Wrestling is the best base for combat sport. Wrestling is the most physically demanding sport so you have a mental edge over any fierce competitors. Wrestling blends well with BJJ, boxing, and Judo. If you are a wrestler than can box, you're lethal. Now if you wrestle and do muy Thai? Forget about it. Look at Romero and the way he utilizes his knees and elbows.

He's got 5:21 minutes of cage time, so yeah, pretty remarkable in 4 fights. Only 1 guy has lasted more than 1 minute and 2 seconds. Would love to see how he develops and if he's ready for the Dagestani wrestlers who are the best in the world.
