    Salt is a real ingredient. It is a whole ingredient. Do not diminish the meaningful presence that salt plays in our life by denying it that title. Livid

    I think I over-whipped the cream, but I’m too lazy to start all over again. So, I just put it in the freezer. Let’s see how it turns out!
    Update: So, it turned out salted caramel whipped-cream lol keep it for your cake filling. DON"T over whipped your cream guys!

      Yes there is 1/2 stick of butter ,1/2 tsp of salt it's a play on words

    • @justrosy5
      @justrosy5 Před rokem

      @@carriehenderson1352 Your twisting things around, but in doing that, you've proven my point. An ingredient label is an ingredient label, regardless of the separate amount called for in a recipe. Half of "butter" is "but," and that's not a food ingredient. Try again, and please learn the English language, as well as how basic logic and math work.

      Omg, relax! In recipes salt isn’t usually an ingredient, it is seasoning. It was just a funny way of saying it.

    That's not ice cream that's whipped cream.
    That's not caramel sauce, that's cooked sweetened condensed milk.
    I'm surprised you didn't call this video or radio broadcast because you've been exactly wrong on everything

      Go buy some then and enjoy all the extra added chemicals , thickeners, preservatives and sugar and permitted rat hair and bug parts and then wonder why you get cancer.
      Enjoy.

  • @originalusernameoftheyear6500

    Not be be a downer but this recipe doesn't seem very good. I do admit though that it is very easy. Making a creme anglaise isn't that hard though.

    • @diandie1838
      @diandie1838 Před rokem

      What is cream anglaise and how do you make it?

    • @originalusernameoftheyear6500
      @originalusernameoftheyear6500 Před rokem

      @@diandie1838 it's just a cooked custard base that's used for normal ice cream. Also modified versions are used for gelato. You do need to churn ice cream that's made with a creme anglaise base though, which can still be achieved without a machine by just using ice and salt in a seperate bowl. Adam Ragusea has a pretty good video on how to make ice cream without a churner and explains how to make normal ice cream using a creme anglaise. Also if you google "Callebaut ice cream pdf" there is a really in depth explanation to all the uses for each ingredient that ice cream contains, and how to balance and make your own recipes.
