I have seen almost all of Manny Pacquiao's fights since he started in the bantamweight division. He is an incredible boxer/fighter. Pound for pound I believe he is the greatest of all time...a world champion in 8 different weight divisions...No won has ever come close and probably never will. He is a classy humanaterrian and takes care of his people.
What's more impressive is he was a 5 time lineal champion. Closest thing is ali with 2.

Well, had Margarito "Loaded-Wraps" Flores hadn't cheated, Miguel Cotto would have beaten Manny Pacquiao or the Puerto Rican would have never been TKO'd. Miguel Cotto was extremely diminished after the fight against Margarito Flores. Cotto's dedication and discipline to the sport of boxing allowed him to continue after being brutally hurt by the Plaster of Paris in Flores' hand-wraps. For those who don't know, Plaster of Paris is a quick-setting fine white powder (calcium sulfate hemihydrate), which hardens when moistened and allowed to dry.

I was only 5 years old when my father and I watched this fight in cable from his workplace were pacquaio and cotto made a tremendous fight in 2009 and we're like boxing commentator because of our loudness cheer to the fight after that we've seen ourselves satisfied and amazed, 6 years passed that time I was 11 then there's a free fight in our tv still that fight, while I'm watching suddenly my father said do you still remember that fight where we watched it together from my workplace? And I look at my father in the eye and said it on my mind Yes, I still remember that gold old days, how can I forget that one?.. I miss my father a lot and our moments.

this fight define you from the best to greatest..a prime cotto was overwhelm by a much smaller but mobile fighter..with speed and accuracy from his punches and dominate the figth..this is simply my favorite fight of all time.
This was not prime Cotto. Prime Cotto was when he fought Margarito. Margarito KO'd a prime and undefeated Cotto, and Cotto was never really the same again. Also, Manny forced Cotto to make a catchweight of 145-lbs rather than fighting him at the normal 147-lbs of the division. Why? It's because Manny is always looking for the advantage.

I’ve watched this fight a number of times and it showcases Manny’s greatness. This was his 7th title and he won it convincingly against a top notch opponent. Cotto was a skilled fighter who came to fight. On his way up through the weight divisions, Manny fought the best. We will likely never see a fighter like Manny Pacquaio. History will show he’s among the greatest men who ever fought.

Pacquiao did some extraordinary things in the 3rd and 4th rounds especially. You've never seen a fighter circle his opponent, punching with both hands all the while, then reverse and circled the other direction. That's not boxing 101, it's the skill set of a unique, very talented fighter. Didn't Pacquiao look completely relaxed and in control? He turned it up at will, dominating a great fighter, doing whatever he wanted in there. This was one of the greatest performances in boxing history in my opinion.

Cotto fought an excellent fight. It's just that Manny has that crazy power in his left hand, and that was ultimately the difference. With that being said, these are two of the greatest to ever fight in the lighter divisions. It doesn't get much better than this in the sport of boxing. I wish we had more fights where champions put their title on the line against the absolute best opposition. A lot of fighters in today's boxing have no balls, and are too busy flashing their alphabet belts instead of worrying about their legacies. Cotto could have probably ran from Manny like Floyd did for years, but he embraced the challenge, even though it ended his reign as a champion.

No this Cotto was a shell of himself. After that first Margarito loss (cement tragedy) he was never the same fighter. Also have to take into account that Pacquiao wouldn’t fight unless he had the catch weight, which affected Cotto’s performance In this

Will never get tired watching this fight. It was one of the best fights of Pacquiao as he exemplified the best of the Filipino boxing - smart, calculated and strong performance from start to finish and with it he clinched his 7th championship in different weight classes. I remember seeing this fight in 2009 in a mexican bar, everyone was cheering for pacman, it was sooo loud, wow it brings back memories. I haven't seen boxing fight since 2013 on regular basis but this was fun to watch again.
